Putting the politics to one side, you’ve got to give it to Keir Starmer that was pretty funny at the 01:30 mark! 😂
To be fair, he has been surprisingly hilarious in the past few PMQs, and I’m not a fan at all.
Starmer totally showed the policy for what it is, a gimmick and a waste of tax payers money
What's he going to do? Open the doors wide as the last Labour Government did?
@@denzel270 let me just point out that immigration has tripled. It's higher than it was under the last Labour government, when freedom of movement was in place.
@@denzel270
Are you just here in the comments to troll andd wind people up because you have not said anything constructive in any of the comments you have left.
Sending 500 to Rwanda will not see the boats stop crossing, out of 170,000 currently awaiting their application only 500 will be removed, let's than 0.5%, sounds costly, not a deterant.
There's a reason why they're sending a few hundred and it's because the plan is apparently going to cost $180K per person.
THIS IS SCRUTINY! Good job Starmer! He just took apart that plan piece by piece!
You can tell Penny is just so done with this government as well.
She looks so depressed. Not surprising listening to this every day.
Her face has been thunderous for a while.

Maybe she should 'Stand up and Fight'? ;)
Rishi took an absolute battering today. Oh dear😢😂
It's just embarrassing. These are the people who are supposed to be running our country and are spending all their time cheering and jeering. Honestly it is disgraceful. Please can they stop with the attempted point scoring and trying to be funny and just focus on sorting out policies. There are clear issues with the policy and the questions aren't answered or even acknowledged. Absolute embarrassment to the country and honestly I'm tired of hearing them acting like school children. If I was to act like that in my job I'd be sacked
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
100%! They just make personal jibes and don't remotely address the oppositions argument.
First time?
This was Keir Starmer’s finest moment in PMQs to date. Absolutely incredible.
And yet legal immigration is at an all time high. To put this into perspective, illegal immigration accounts for less than 1% of all immigration.
Legal immigration also includes international students coming to study in renowned UK universities; it’s hard to imagine many people objecting to, for example, an American coming over to study at Cambridge. The immigration discussion is what it always has been: a smokescreen for xenophobia
I know an Airline pilot British who's American wife a qualified Doctor ( specialised in Alzheimers I think )
The Home office REFUSED her application dispite having already being hired by a hospital in the midlands.
Eventually the Pilot trsnsfered to Belfast and his wife was hired by the Irish health board and they live near the border in the Republic of Ireland.
@@roycebracketTHANK YOU. You sir, should speak in the commons !
@@roycebracketyeah it’s crazy, I recall reading about it and like (ball park) 2/3rds of our immigrants each year are here to study, and end up going back to their home countries afterwards anyway, so it’s not really reflective of any issue at all… Not to mention that the people moaning about it probably have less issue with people fleeing Hong Kong and Ukraine coming to the UK.
Children in the playground would be chastised for behaving the way these MPs do, .. Shameful
Sunak's biggest lie that we are a kind and caring country - not with the tories in charge.
Starmer nails it every time…lol.
THE COST OF LIVING IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT TO ME than STOPPING THE BOAT- Mr Sunak!!!
me too but sadly a lot of the tory thickaraty are racist bigoted scum who sadly haven't had any thing to have to complain about so far...one day they will, karma will be kind!
If they had an effective immigration system that sent people home who were rejected then perhaps that might be a deterrent.
Like the one we had while INSIDE the EU ?
Brexit was an answer to a question that didn't exist
They can't manage to convince France to a returns agreement. Which was there if BoJo had worked it in... ahh those were the days. Sex, Drink, and crappy agreements.
If they had actually wanted to, they could have achieved this. The whole truth is that they never, ever wanted to reduce the numbers. It has been much more useful for them to avoid sending anyone anywhere to keep the sheeple angry.
They could just send them back but choose not too.
@leehenry5764 no, they can't. They can't be sent back to France because ironically that would be illegal migration and they can't be sent to their country of origin unless its officially a safe country.
This festering house of vipers is an absolute joke, they can lie with impunity while they laugh and guffaw.
The deputy speaker is dreadful.
She should certainly have stepped in to remind Sunak that he's not the one asking the questions.
The speaker is not much better 😅 both speaker and deputy are poor beyond belief !
@@gomezthechimp1116 Just like the 2016 debate between Hillary and that Emporer Cheeto
She is a he according to the prime minister 😂 be careful!!
You can see it in Little Rishis face and hear it in his voice
He knows the game is up .
The worry is how much more damage they can do in their time left ?
"instead of being on the side of the British people", said the one who supports dividing families and reducing interest in filling shortages. He is setting the country on fire.
on purpose obviously
He is Indian leave him alone!
Destroying the NHS, destroying the economy, repealing human rights legislation, taking away their ability to travel to work or retire abroad, introducing policies that literally killed people during the pandemic... Yeah Rishi is definitely on the side of the British people.
At this point I think he knows he's toast, and is just going scorched earth to make it worse for the people here, and a bigger mess to fix for labour.
Exporting immigrants to Rwanda and Rwanda exports their immigrants to the UK,bonkers.
call a general election immediately.
It’s difficult not to conclude that the Tories are aiming to be the “slime of humanity”!
The Rawanda scheme, is going to cost atleast £500,000 per each one we send, if we can, and that's at lease, it doesn't include legal aid or the 5 years, of health, education, clothes, food, etc etc etc
Love it how rishi thinks saying yes to Europe is somehow an insult when an ever increasing % of the population see that the insult was that we left. Plus the only way to sort small boats, the issue tories love too much to sort out, is by working with European partners to find a bilateral plan and agreement.
Yes, brexiteers seem to think that now we've left the EU Britain is no longer 21 miles from the European continent and we should have nothing to do with our neighbours.
Fog in channel Europe cut off 😂😂
When little Rishi talks about "stopping the cycle of tragedy" it sounds to me he's talking about PMQ's.
or his shit government!
Starmer wipes the Floor with Sue Knacker yet again. 😃
It's truly painful to watch Rishi- it's totally shaming for him, his party and the country. How much more must we bear with this bunch of.... we all know what I mean! But on the bright side, with Keir, we have a PM patiently in waiting, and who grows in stature and calibre every single week. Loving Rachel and Angela, loyal and shoulder to shoulder with him.
Cleverly is a joke - never thought anyone could be worse than Cruella
Sunak is punch drunk on the ropes
As Starmer is talking about Darling and Kinnock, Sunak is reading his folder, shameful
Imagine if Keir used words like “Rinse” when mocking the PM. That would be a funny sight.
Sunak the weather is the only way to stop the boats
24 hour talking Rwanda no discussion unemployment 😂😂 inflation
always the way... the actual problems of the country continue to fester, but the political leaders are all too busy shrieking about foreign scapegoats.
@@michaelcoward1902 yes . torys out
@@michaelcoward1902 - actually this Rwanda scam is extremely important and needs to be highlighted because it shows the Tories up for what they are: lying, scheming c@@ts who couldn't care less about the rule of law. BoJo proved he had no respect for the law or tradition when he prorogued parliament and lied to the Queen, and Sunak is taking this even further by asserting that, if we don't like the ruling we'll simply ignore it.
They were discussed a few weeks ago, you clearly don't watch often. Kier uses all of his questions on one topic so that Rishi can't give some nonsense and move on. It's the best strategy.

Prime Minister its a joke . No shame , go , general elections now
PM doesn't answer any questions. Great democracy 👏
We need a labour government now!!!
That's says everything about Sunak I lost the thread of this question. He's lost the thread of of being a prime minister
Poor Rish! . Flailing away at the wrong way of doing things and blowing away money. I think now all he has is smoke and mirrors left.
Sunak: Blah blah blah blah, "zinger!"
Starmer: Here, take your ass.
Rinse, repeat.
All that wasted money could have been used to hire & train more staff to process claims as well as give the current staff a decent pay rise.
No mention of the GTA 6 trailer. These people aren’t in touch with the public
Sunak should be forced to answer the questions
Penny Mordant's expression summed up Sunak's performance, complete clap-trap.
Why does Rishi hate foreigners so much? Enough to bend international human rights laws. Getting scarily close to fascism.
Its pathetic how fixated they are on this
Just pandering to the right wingers, gotta get them votes from somewhere.

Nevermind, I'm sure the jokers at the Daily Heil will fantasise that "Sunak held his ground " or some garbage
This change for family visas is awful. My partner is a foreign national. I have a business in the UK and was born and raised in the UK. I do okay, but I don't hit the new financial target. So... i will likely move my business and myself out of the country. Ridiculous.
kier starmer is cooking this conservative front bench
Immigration is higher under conservative than labour ever reached. In fact it massively went up just after Tories regained their power.😂
I don't even know what Labour stands for anymore. Defo not the British people
Rishi Sunak doesn't actually answer any questions in this video, just dances around them like he always has. At least BoJo and May answered questions from Corbyn + Starmer
No they never
Let's send this government to Rwanda its a much better idea.
I don't see why rejoining the EU is still such a thorny subject. Leaving the EU has totally devastated this country and that is totally irrefutable. This country is on its knees after 14 years of Tory shite, and the sooner we get that scum out of office, the sooner we can start rebuilding.
They’re all laughing at you rish!
It’s like watching a group of unruly children trying to play “who can crack the best joke or give the best insult”. It’s no wonder the UK is fcuked when the politicians act the way they do, try actually discussing politics for a change 🤦♂️
It's all a pantomime, to deflect from the real issues while their mates fill their pockets and within 5 years of leaving power be off living abroad somewhere, while the uk is being laughed at by the rest of the world.
This is just PMQ, a chance to play to the cameras. If you've ever watched any actual live politic discussion, you'll realise just how different this little snippet is to the standard day of business.
Starmer seems to have new people around him. He seems to be getting better jabs in at Sunak.
Third choice PM running our great country into the ground
Yeh but Liz fcking Truss was this mobs second choice, and Boris bloody Johnson was first.

None of these clowns have an affective plan for this issue and yet they have the audacity to behave like it's a joke with their behaviour during pmqs.. it's a disgrace
I wonder if the Rwanda Plan is an update of Private Eye Ugandan Affairs!
Another 6-0 win for keir
PM has been asked about the 17000 lost immigrant in the country but he stands up and talks about economy and tax cuts!!!!!!!
What will happen at the ECtHR if the Supreme court agrees that the Tories stupid plan to swap migrants with Rwandan migrants, also what will the EU and the USA do if Britain leaves the Council of Europe and destroy the GFA?
US pressure would be such that they wouldn't dare leave the GFA. US is the guarantor of the agreement.
that bignose Sunak keeps saying "mister speaker" he doesn't have one iota of respect
At the 5-minute and 50-second mark of the video, Rishi Sunak stated his intention to reduce legal migration levels (not illegal). I am uncertain whether this was a slip of the tongue or if he has some covert, unpleasant plans underway. Was it a fraudulent slip?
They've already stated their policy to do just that: Increase minimum skilled migrants income that they need to earn to work in the UK to 38,000, and stop dependents coming over with migrants.
