i am in the same situation, but i have a 93. i have found a rear end from a 96 2x4 342, and mine is a 4x4 342, can i swap the rear end and use the 6 lug axles
I have never done this swap on the 90s models but the best way to fid out is pull 1 axle from each rear end and compare the two. That will give you your answer. Sorry i couldnt help more.
Great video. Thx for posting. Seeing this before getting into a job is a big help.
No problem. Glad i could help
Im thinking of swaping a 6 lug rear end, or axles on a 2wd s10 blazer, would they fit as long as its a 10 bolt?
I dont see any reason why they wont. I have personally never done the swap on an s10 though
What drums did you use? I’m trying to use the K10 6 lug drums but the lock up against the backing plate.
I used the drums that came with my donor differential. I think there are some drums on the squarebody that are wider.
What did you get the 6 lug axles out of
Both of these differentials are from squarbody chevy pickups. Just pulled axles out of one and put in the other.
What about front rotors?
Im not sure on those
