Depends on the axle length and splines. If it’s a 5-lug from another c10, most will work but you’ll need to double check. Some axles (71+ I believe) have a different measurement that pre-71.
No the CPP kit includes the new axles already set up for the five lug. You can get the kit with or without the brake drums too (depending on what you are running out back).
I bought some aftermarket axles and I put them in and the 1/2 stud fits Until it hits the knurled part i tried 2 different size knurled studs and still don’t fit I have never had a problem in the past installing wheel studs before
@@RustnAway Not from where I'm standing..... 6 lug from 16" to 22" factory.... slap them on from any gm big truck... Did u have to drill your axles for your wheel studs

Great Video! Love the C10 !
So basically it’s just pull out the old axles and replace them with the 5 lug axles ?
Yup it’s pretty straight forward. Obviously need to add new fluid and re-do the brakes and gaskets.
Hot Rod And Street Truck Garage thanks man your video helped a lot
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it.
Does that kit works on a 66 C10 ??
Yes the kit I got works for 65-69
Were you able to reuse the original center pin?
Yup. Works just fine.
Guess I put the clips in bad or havent pulled the axles out enough. Ok, I'll give it another shot.
Just pull them out a hair and it should still go in and the c-clips will hold.
What differential fluid did you use? i have a 1968 c10 with a 12 bolt and im not sure which to het
80w90. Need between 2-3 quarts
@@RustnAway thank you so much!
Anytime. Thanks for watching!
Are the axles the same length?
Yes but make sure you measure yours. They vary depending on the year of the truck.
@@RustnAway I have a 63 C-10
Will this kit work on a c20?
I don’t see why not.
Why would you want to go from 6 lug to 5?....
A lot of wheel options in 5 lug compared to 6 lug.

@@ubmixinb360 yes but all those are ugly. Torq thrust 2s, rallys even centerlines look better than all those and list goes on
Dude. You so needed a wire wheel
