Hello everyone, I am still doing well. Was in hospital some time back for IVs of magnesium and potassium. Will be 89 later this month, keep well everyone.
Thank you all. The hard part is long over, the hard part was being very young and very sick and no one believing I was sick. long before they were doing electrolytes. Once they go on that I was in my early 30s. No question why I was sick, as one doctor said the biggest question why was I still alive? I feel for all of us with rare diseases. It's tough. God bless all.
I landed in the ER recently with this and actually still had to google and fumble around to get this information last week as I was basically just treated for my pain. Blood pressure was sky high and within two weeks of increasing my potassium it returned to normal. New subscriber here!
My daughter has been on dialysis for 8 months and was diagnosed with diabetes since she was 13 . Her blood pressure has been skyrocketing for the last month. She has been in the hospital since May 27 and she doesn’t seem to be getting any better. She is on 4 different kinds of blood pressure medication but will be taken off one soon. In the last 2 weeks the doctor is ordering for 3 liters of fluid to be pulled out per treatment .! She screams in pain after each treatment. I can only hope and pray she is getting the proper treatment medically possible. I don’t know if she will make it home to see her 2 baby girls. Please help me pray for her.🙏 She is only 30 years old.
I am really sorry to hear about your daughter. One thing I personally found out for myself when I was ill and suggested to my doctor was A possible Vit.D3 deficiency. I asked to be tested and found out I had almost no vitamin D..( 6ng,). It was affecting my blood pressure and they wanted me on BP meds. I refused and instead changed my diet and started taking D3 and K2. That was 13 years ago and I am now 70. I have never had a blood pressure issue since then. I would perhaps have your daughter be visited by a functional health doctor. As a mom myself I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers.
I have Barrters Syndrome. I take 4800 mg a day sometimes more, I also take 100mg of magnesium. I lived for 35 years before I was found to have terribly low potassium, I had my first heart attack at age 23. Heart problems puzzled doctors. My brother died of a cardiac arrest at age 26. He of course had the same disease. I have become an expert at electrolytes, only reason I am still alive at age 85.
This is where I get my nascent Iodine, three drops on the tongue and wash it down with water. I started feeling better the next day. shop.organixx.com/collections/all-products/products/iodine
I love how you are so SERIOUS to helping your viewers, all in the most natural way instead of with pills that do damage to liver, kidneys & other organs of the body.Thank you, DOC!
Under normal circumstances, I believe in my doctor. However, of late, I have experienced behaviour which could be considered neglect. I came across Dr Mandell and since listening to him, have followed his rationales and now feel sooooo much better. His stretches fixed my back, I sleep better and I’m more careful about my nutrition. This is all down to the good sense he talks. Thank you Doctor, you have made a valuable difference.
Same mine called me for 6 months begging me to get the vaxx I never did she was such a Nazi I dumped her for neglect on so many levels. Hence she is a huge vaccine pusher now get this. ...both her kids now in their teens are autistic.
I almost fell off my chair when I saw the list of foods containing potassium. My body craves 6 out of the first top 8!!!. Also, high blood pressure issues, tiredness, unusual weakness in leg area, pain in leg muscles and most recently muscle cramping. The Divine wanted me to see this video so THANK YOU!!! ❤️
My brother recently had a pacemaker put in. Dr said his potassium was so low due to too much Lasix. Now the lower part of his heart doesn't work. I notice I have been having most of these symptoms. Leg cramps always tired pain and weak legs and more.
@S Doeman - Your comment applies on all fours to me and I fully adopt it. Truly, God caused me to see this video too 😀 Just as He caused you to see it by The Holy Spirit. There is none like unto Him. Jesus is Lord.
What? So if you lose potassium it's because you're consuming diuretics. So if you're not taking diuretics and you're just urinating everyday like all other mammals do, you're not losing any minerals, water soluble minerals from the water that leaks out of your gonads,... 🤣, no no. Snooze to me I didn't know that. 😴❣️❣️❣️ I didn't realize that I have to be drinking coffee or anything like that to lose that mineral cuz I thought it was a daily ongoing process no matter what, no matter what!!!! Nobody ever mentions the fact that it's four and a half grams they talk milligrams to make it sound like it's really insignificant. Absorbing the proper amount of K everyday is a huge pain in the butt no matter how you eat if you're on keto it's harder if you're on a low fat diet if you're a pig or whatever you are I don't give a damn but this is like a big problem here. The FDA won't allow it in supplements. Mean while Atrial Fibrillation is a growing disease, and the FDA are a bunch of chimpanzees. Everybody preaches what you need but you get like what 13 bananas in your daily diet.to.get the K? Forget Keto. Potatoes... Forget those too. The Greens. Go for it if you can hack it and if you don't mind kidney stones from the oxalic acid from the spinach. No it ain't easy...
I love the way he explains everything, I WAS low on vitamin D ,and watching one of his video I found that, now I feel great again, with out pay for a doctor ,GREAT JOB DOCTOR GOD BLESS YOU.
A few months ago my potassium went down to 2.6! I was passing out, called 911 and the hospital gave me infusion. Doctor said I would have died…living alone nobody would know I was unconscious. Probably my heart would have stopped. It’s a very serious problem, we all have to eat better.
I actually did pass out. Only reason I got lucky that day was because I had an appointment that day to cut my nephews hair and when they saw my car and I wouldn't open the door they got concerned. They call the cops and they opened the door and found me unconscious.i just couldn't believe how lucky I was that day.
wow momma k. i'm glad you are ok. i went to er in oct 2008. i ended up in icu with a k level at 2.4 and had to get bags pumped into my hands and was on a heart monitor. because the er was treating me like it was all in my head and very badly i told them i was leaving after sleeping most of the time in the er and kept telling them i didn't feel right my hands were tingling really bad and i was really tired. so they ended up treating me like it was a mental issue. finally the dr says to me "i found out what yr problem is" and he said "i don't even know how you can walk and talk how you are". i told him off as i was getting dressed because i had had it after 8 hrs of how they were treating me. after the icu visit from 2008 on i had to be on potassium. all the dr's even kidney specialist couldn't figure out why i was dumping all my potassium but seems after about 1 and half yrs after getting bad teeth pulled my kidney reversed and out of no were started functioning properly. I live alone too but i worry my heart has been damaged from the hypokalemia i suffered for over a decade!
NOW Foods has a powdered Potassium Citrate that is not expensive and you can take as much as needed. You need 4,700 mg/day so get what you can from food (almonds, avocados, spinach, bananas, etc) & add supplement for the remaining. HBP is the #1 symptom of low Potassium.
Potassium indeed! Years ago I "drowned myself" in water. Meaning, I drank so much water I flushed the potassium & sodium out of my body sending me into a grandmal seizure while I was working. That seizure made me hit my head, end up in the hospital in a coma. The good lord kept me alive. Undoubedtly as a complete depletion of potassium and sodium can also give you a massive heart attack. We are what we put into our bodies.....we become the fluids and foods we put into our bodies... I became a fish out of water by literally drowning myself by the water I consumed and flushing the minerals & vitamins my body needed to function. If you do anything with your day worthwhile, add these videos to your daily routine. It can save your life, literally. And these videos will give you a new lease on life! A new "you" by taking care of you and understanding how our bodies truely work. How our health is literally connected to all we consume. That consumption starts with the gut & moves throughout our bodies from there. God bless this doctor. Mine put me on a cocktail of perscription meds after my seizure and coma that would've killed a horse :(. My doctor put me on Xanax 10mg x 4 times a day Valium 10mg × 4 a day Flexral 10 mg x 4 a day Vicodin 750mg x 4 a day Blood pressure meds x 4 a day Naprisan 200mg x 4 a day Tegretol 2000 mg ER x 2 a day No, this is NO joke. I have the medical records to prove it. These prescriptions went on for YEARS. I should've died. A "cocktail" of medical poisons that I should not even be here to tell you about. A "cocktail " of pharmaceuticals that my "candy doctor" as Colorado patients like to call him, should have killed me. Instead I woke up one day, started reducing my seizure meds, all meds on my own. Weined myself off of them....slowly! My doctor was very unhappy. As my blood tests that I was required to take every 3 months showed significant reduction in tegretol etc...this was my choice & he was unhappy. I've had NO seizures since the day I started my SELF medical care. Not one. After my initial seizure at work, I had many after including when on medication. No, I've had not one. That was 10 years ago. Not one medication has entered my body in any form. After research and classes on natural healing for two years, my journey into mind, body, and natural healing, health started. That was 7 years ago. My love for life came back 10 years ago when I chose to take myself off ALL the above medications. I have not looked back since. I baffle the medical community as I have encountered a trio to the ER recently falling on ice at a families cattle ranch out west. Why? Because i am healthy. Take no meds. Yep, they actually were bewildered. Imagine that....lol (sarcastic). We all need to understand this is a process of unlearning everything we were taught, exposed to in the name of big pharma. It is a journey that good people such as this doctor can help you meet your maximum potential for your health, physically which of course becomes mentally as well. It is all beautifully connected. Thank you sir, for all you do! Thank you sir, for being you! And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping humanity be all they can be without the guise of "chemicals". Sincerely LeeAnn
Lee Ann Wright, I had the same thing happen to me. I drank to much water and was low on sodium. We need salt in our diet as well. I was on a bunch of pills too. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
Why were you drinking that much water? Were you trying to overwork the kidneys? Let your thirst dictate your fluid consumption. Like you would do with food (hopefully). Eat when hungry
Mine has openly defied me and rolled his eyes when I told him at 72 I had to watch spucy food like pico w my texmex...he said he would give me zantac...I said no, ill just shoot some acv or drink a room temp perrier or take hcl...he literally asked me why would you think adding acid would help acid...i said because my body doesnt make enough bile and these all work wonders for me...he actually got mad😠
Doc says to respondents and subscribers, "I learn so much from you". He's a humble man, yes ? You're very much appreciated dear doctor. Thank for all that you do and teach us.
Afib, put on potassium, added magnesium myself. Doing great, drinking lots of water, no longer on meds for AFib. Working on decreasing BP meds. Your programs are a huge help to me. Thank you SO much
You and Dr. Berg is my go to sources on youtube. I follow a couple others, but you two the most. You two are great sources for information on staying healthy. You guys are similar on advice.
Dr Mandel was the first Dr that I have learned so much from when I first. started U tube I was a late bloomer on this but I'm so grateful for Dr Mendel and a few others in here they explain so well. God sent them to us
It would be 4 or 5 years ago when I got a phone call from my doctor in the early evening. She said my blood test results returned and I must go immediately to Belmont Hospital (Lake Macquarie, Australia). I asked why. She replied "you have very low potassium levels". I said but I feel fine and I'm on my way to the shops for food. She replied then go and come back quickly and get a taxi to the hospital. You MUST go. I thanked her and said I would. At the hospital I was checked and told to stay there, they would not let me go. I stayed with a potassium drip in my arm for 5 days. Because my veins were quite small the potassium was not getting through quick enough. The next day a technician explained he would very carefully be guided by a screen to put the tube into my heart or a main vein that went there. That pumped enough potassium into my heart and satisfied I was released in the late afternoon to go home with a prescription of potassium fizzy tablets. The reason of my "life threatening low potassium levels" was my increase of licorice root tea from 1 teaspoon/day to 3 drinks per day. I don't drink licorice root tea any more.
I am so glad I watched this! I went to the emergency room because I was having shortness of breath, my muscles felt tight in my neck, jaw, face, and chest. I could barely walk up the stairs without feeling faint. My legs felt like logs. My bp kept bottoming out. No one could tell me what was wrong. They drew my blood and told me my K+ was a little low, but they didn’t say what the level was. It was actually 2.8! I don’t even know how it got that low because I hadn’t vomited or had any diarrhea. I don’t drink etoh. The ED sent me home and told me it was stress. My muscles were still cramped up and no one even thought to address the K+ issue. They just thought I needed antidepressants. Thank you so much for explaining these symptoms.
My dad was having episodes of light headedness, almost passing out. He had one of those episodes when he was visiting me one time. So I took him to my doctor. She did a blood test. She phoned me when the results came back, but my dad was already on his way home and was at his hotel for the night. I gave her the number so she could phone him. She said his potassium level was dangerously low and she prescribed a potassium supplement for him. She said it could be very dangerous for him to have that low a level of potassium. I was so grateful for her excellent care of my dad. The problem was caused by his blood pressure medicine.
My dear mother passed away of diseased kidneys only 39 yrs old...no help for this problem in her days died Jan.1962...What a blessing this great is to help us be better...Did the honey, thyme, and ginger today, now will eat more bananas...Thank you sir.💞💞💞
I was a nurse for 30 years, had to be put on seizure medication. After 15 years I had a severe episode of pancreatitis. They changed my medication. Pancreatitis resolved and I noticed after a few months that all my GI symptoms also resolved. I told my doctors about GI problems and they had nothing to offer. After I retired, I took time to take care of my health, followed information in a diabetes meal management book, focusing on veggies and fruits and "white meats" and EXERCISE. I lost 25 #s. Now, I have come across Dr.Mandell, bringing our attention to all these maladies that afflict us, thinking it just happens to an aging body. But he is spot on, like he could read me like a book. Now, I have something else to work on! Thank you Dr., Mandell, you come across like a very caring person and wanting to help as many people as possible.
Yes, Yes, and Yes! I have had heart palpitations for years and this is very true! Listen to the doc. Thank you for sharing Dr. Mandell. Keep up the good work.
My then 22 year old son wound up in the E.R. years ago with symptoms of a stroke. It was actually a potassium deficiency. He and I both have had this over the years. We both make sure we stay in good shape now!
Wow. Please look up food sources of potassium, and eat them every day. A tea made from pesticide free organic banana peels are an excellent source, more than the banana itself. Fruit and vegetable peels contain the most nutrition, and most people just get rid of them, sadly. 🍅🌶🫑 Also great plant food, I cut banana peels small and spread around my flowering plants, because I do know that potassium promotes more flowering. Great for tomato or pepper plants.
@@jeffbrown3051 Just don't eat the greens. Cooking denatures the fruit/veggie reduces risk for most sensitive people also. Moderation, common sense and avoiding PESTICIDES is the key, generally.
Appreciate your comments re magnesium, potassium, calcium, etc. I suffered with constipation for 50 years until I reviewed my own blood work and saw that my magnesium was low, decided to treat myself with a mag 750 cal 750 pot 150 supplement daily. Within weeks I became normal with regular bowel movements. I had been diagnosed with IBS and prescribed a few medications to treat my symptoms, but I decided not to take those or listen to the pat suggestions from the GE MDs. Thank you for providing a healthy alternative to treating what was for me a chronic condition that could have gotten much worse if treated otherwise. I'd also like to mention the benefits of hot water which I have substituted for the coffee I used to drink daily. My digestion is the best it's ever been.
@@tracycrider7778 Five years later. Still doing great with a magnesium citrate supplement at night. Try to feed my microbiome with a variety of foods. Glad I didn’t just take the pills doctors prescribed.
As an adrenal patient who was formerly on full hormone replacement, I would like to remind people to have their blood levels of all these things checked before they take potassium. And don’t forget that taking magnesium can knock down your potassium. That’s something most people don’t realize I have actually fallen down from taking too much magnesium, by prescription, and it dumping my potassium levels. The more magnesium you take the more potassium you need to take. In general but this gets in the endocrinology and is quite complicated so please see a doctor and get your blood levels checked. Your electrolytes especially potassium. I could say more, But I suggest everyone see a functional medicine doctor when it comes to this.
🥀Terri Pierman🥀 Many thanks for the suggestions and for passing along your experience. Can't afford to see a Functional Dr. Of course, I've been misdiagnosed so many times, perhaps you could say I can't afford NOT to see a Functional Dr! Stay well 💞
Terri Pierman, thanks for info on magnesium. I learned that blood work isn’t always accurate. You have to get to know yourself. Most doctors assume we all are not drinking enough water when in reality we might be drinking too much which depletes our electrolytes like salt. Most drs don’t ask are you on a water pill do you drink a lot of coffee do your eat too little salt? What is too little I would ask etc..
I cannot believe what I just listened to.. I have EVERY symptom of lack of potassium. I wasn't searching for this.. It just popped up! THANK YOU so much for sharing your knowledge.. I've been so very ill over the past couple of years with so many different things.. Again.. Thank you Sir. ☮️ 🇬🇧
Blessings going out to you Dr. Mandell 🙏🏼 He’s saving lives and restoring health one video at a time. A precious asset in a medical field of quacks who just want to push pills.

Hi Dr Mandell. I was in the ER one week ago today, with terrible chest pain, vertigo, fatigue, and short of breath. I am fit and follow a great diet and exercise routine. I went in thinking I had a pinched nerve. Tingling in my left foot, short of breath, off balance, and slight chest pain in my sternum. They did bloodwork and immediately found my potassium was very low with a high D-dimmer. No blood clot found after CT scan. They gave me two cups of potassium to drink (absolutely dreadful) but I felt much better within a few days! I was told by my ER nurse that people who do keto must take electrolytes, because of the loss of potassium. I don’t follow a keto diet, but thought this is something to mention since many people are following that diet today. Thanks Dr Mandell!! Cheers! 🍌
I’m on two that are connected and seriously considering leaving one at least Sunshine. Healthy food. Attitude etc are brilliant medicines. When I saw my parents in their last years their counters were full of medicines. Worried me crazy. Like my Inlaws…one Rx often sets off another issue so another Rx comes and it continues. Yes, some are truly needed but often, our nutrition and life style can be the best medicine Outdoors. Sunshine. Not sunscreen Working in gardens. Music whether played or heard in birds singing and puppies calling, Laughter. Walking. Wholesome foods. Puppies who snuggle and give kisses, kitties who purr, Love of friends and family, and self (I fail on the last one too often). Good water, a glass of wine etc are superb medicines as are Hope and Prayer / Thinking
@@catriamou It is so sad that the average person does not know how their body works and then take endless prescription drugs, not having a clue as to how they are weakening their immune systems. We have to keep spreading the word!
Thank you. I am an example of someone who suffered from potassium deficiency. I suffered recently from heart failure, and received a catherization for a blocked artery. I was put on a potassium drip for two days to bring down my blood pressure down. I appreciate the information you are sharing about potassium and high blood pressure.
I have learned that deficiency even when I’m eating well then comes from deficient soil = lack of nutrients in my food = lack of nutrition in me. In those cases I will supplement. Make sure food is organic, or go to local organic farm and ask about their soil care. Great info here Doc!
Exactly. I am figuring out if I have a boron deficiency causing my cramps. Increasing my magnesium and potassium hasn't helped. I recently learned they need boron in order to work right.
Thanks a lot Dr. Mandell that I learn lots from your channel. My wife is a stroke patient for the last seven years who could not put up her hand & leg. But when I applied your techniques, her memories are improving a lot and the sleepless nights are over.
hello Doc,,o lost my son because of potassium deficiency..,,only last year,,2021 of March..he was39 yrs old..thank u so much for this important information so I can share this to my love ones .God bless you Doc Mandell..
I was in college, working like a half asleep zombie. I had gotten to the point where my legs felt like they were tree stumps. No flex. Walking became a terrible strange nightmare. Went to doctor. He told me to buy $3 bottle of potassium and to take 99 mg morning and 99 mg nightly. I just spent $600.00 to see this doctor in Katy TX and was really REALLY piffed that I came away with a $3 solution. Potassium. Well, I bought the crap and started taking it. I was so mad, I could spit grenades. But, to my shock, and I mean SHOCK, I had dramatic changes in my whole body. My heart rate, at that time was 160 at rest and would shoot to 180s if I did something as simple as putting wet clothes into the dryer. I was on metaprolol for my heart rate. Well, started taking the potassium and not only did my legs release, my heart rate went down, my blood pressure improved, and my whole body felt amazing. Here's what I mean...did you know that you could lose your yawn and lose the ability to even need to stretch? I remember clearly that all of a sudden, in the morning, I needed to stretch, after taking the potassium supplements. It was amazing. All my body would engage in a full body yawn. Sure enough, after about 4 days, got the blood results in, this was back in 2004, and my potassium levels were so low, the doctor then literally prescribed me strong potassium to take. But, that $3 potassium probably helped prevent a stroke or heart attack, at that time.
I really needed this explanation. I got horrifically painful long lasting cramps for years. I learned about the imbalance of calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium in the body as culprits causing my cramps. I work to assure all of the first three are available in my body during heat, times of stress, and days when I'm just not eating correctly to keep the cramps at bay. Your explanation is critical information I needed. Too much salt in my diet has been a life long issue for me (I just really like it). Now, with this explanation of what happens in the body, I can do more for my health. Thank You So Very, Very Much!!!
Dr. Mandrel, Thank you so much for being such a caring doctor. For your extreme dedication of the tedious time involved in your work in order to be so knowledgeable in your field of expertise.Your intelligence has not gone unnoticed. Have a very blessed day!
This is awesome thank you. Following your advice I hand lost seven kilos in dropping sugar and passed your messages to more than 30 people. Thanks again great work Doc from Australia
In 2018 I was unable to keep down any food so I lived on crackers and ginger ale for 3 months. Big mistake, I ignored all the symptoms Dr.Mandel talked about. Ended up in emergency room with severe chest pain. My heart was failing do to very low potassium, Had to have a 3 hour potassium infusion , at the same time diagnosed with large Mass on my Pancreas. That was the reason I was unable to keep down food. I had rapid weight loss, 50 lb.in 3 month, I ignored that too ! Will never ignore symptoms again. After Chemotherapy I am doing well . Thank you for this video so people will understand the importance of Potassium !
This was a right now word for me. I fell recently and hurt my hip and wacked my head on a shelf . I still have a goose egg. I have felt extremely tired, dizzy a little and my blood pressure has been low. Thanks Doctor. I saw bananas in the store today but they were green. I'll go to another store tomorrow. I did take a multivitamin just bc I thought my potassium might be low. Thank you again!!!
Thank you Dr Mandel for the list: Mushrooms, avocados, tuna, halibut, almonds, cilantro, parsley and spinach are at the top of the charts for a high amount of potassium and low on sodium. I eat less processed foods and less salt, but my sodium ratio still higher than than my potassium. 😊
Well, I'm glad I listened. I am trying to take care of my potassium deficiency. Now, I can pass on this valuable information to my sons so they won't make any mistakes. Thank you for sharing.
I was having heart palpitations a lot which scared me . I searched you tube and found your video. I am now taking potassium supplements. My heart palpitations are no longer there. Now I am learning from you the potassium rich foods. THANKYOU!!

I do get muscle cramps, and constipated a lot. I am going to eat a banana every day, and check the other foods that are rich in potassium. Thank you for this video.
God bless you. I have been researching for why they put me on blood pressure medicine. I worked out a lot and ate some of the wrong foods over and over again. With this video you gave me hope. The doctors never asked questions why my blood pressure might be high and all my blood work was good with oxygen level of 100 they just gave me blood pressure pills. While researching this video just showed up. Thank you
I went to the ER last week due to irregular heartbeats (pvc) that I could feel, dizziness, sob. Turns out my potassium was low and I was dehydrated. They gave me it fluids and an extra dose of potassium and sent me home. Staying hydrated and making sure I take my potassium and eat it too.

This video is a God-sent. It spoke to so many issues that I am having. I take ACV due to constipation and it works but then I also urinate a LOT and then my heart palpitates. I take potassium but I'm not taking enough...this was a great video!
I needed this! I have been having leg cramps at night and feeling faint when stooping down and standing back up. I am on the Keto diet. I will look at ways to add potassium to my diet!
Hi, I was on a keto diet with a health coach, and she had me purchase a potassium and magnesium supplement(They sell these two in one pill) to take every day. So I suggest you look into this. Apparently anyone on keto will be deficient of these vitamins.... Good luck.
Make sure that you aren't magnesium deficient! That will throw your electrolyte balance off and affect potassium levels and uptake. Cells need magnesium to regulate the flow of sodium and potassium as an intermediary. Also, if you are taking high levels of vitamin D3 and K-2, vitamin D3 will utilize magnesium in its processes and create a deficit. Its imperative that if you are taking D3 to make sure that magnesium is supplemented. If not you may have a potassium problem because of low magnesium caused by D3.
That's interesting to know thank you. Living in the UK winter I've been taking 4000 iu of D3 for a while but only intermittently taking magnesium glycinate. I have been wondering whether I need the d 3 seeing as I am carnivore and often eat raw liver and usually take fish oil also. Many people say that you can't overdue vitamin D3 but after what you said I am starting to wonder because I have been getting cramps lately.
I also have read that taurine helps magnesium and potassium enter the cells. Most people make adequate amounts within their bodies but some have conditions in which it is depleted including old age. Doctor Mercola lists some of these conditions.
Wow. Didnt know that. I began having problems after taking D-3. Didnt know that was the cause. At the time I did up my magnesium intake because of the symptoms and handled it but didnt know what started it. Thank you!

This gives me all the nutrients I need and don’t get any cravings. Your video and scientific explanations proves i am getting enough potassium. Thank you so much. 🙏
I was in the ER about a year ago with stomach issues. I was admitted because my sodium level was so low. While in the ER, I was knocked down by the fire door in the bathroom, and couldn’t walk for days. I was sent home about a week later, but given no real instructions at all. About a month later, I had to go back, and was admitted for low sodium, but a different physician diagnosed IBS D also, and gave me a wonderful new medicine, and I have had no real issues since then with my stomach. Unfortunately, I have been plagued with back issues since. Then, six months later, I again went to the hospital, this time because of low potassium. what I need help with is figuring out which one I have, since I have all of. the symptoms you have been talking about.
Exceptional doctor who could explain beautifully the impotance of every essential nutrients for our body functions which we are not aware of Thank you doctor Great job
BP was extremely high. Already on ace inhibitor, beta-blocker, and diuretic. Consequently, told me to double my meds. I asked if my meds could be changed. Mentioned, in ER situations or lab work, they find my potassium is way too low and med staff has to pump me with 2 or 3 (broken up since they are so big). The response was "this will help your potassium". Climbing stairs began exp. chest pains. Went to ER who admitted me overnight. Hosp. confiscated meds. as protocol requires, and with oxygen, breathing treatment and NO drugs BP came down from 196/105 to 120/88. There was one problem...my potassium was in the dump. Follow-up visit, I made sure my meds were changed as per outside recommendation. THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO!
Doctors put anyone with even slightly elevated blood pressure on drugs and just say not to eat so much salt. It is far far better to increase potassium so you get the roughly 5000 mgs a day needed and limit salt to 2500 mgs a day. We are only getting half the amount of potassium while most of us get twice the amount of sodium. So instead of twice as much potassium as sodium; we are getting it other way around, increasing blood pressure. It is hard for some people to eat enough potassium daily, so find a low sodium vegetable juice like Knudsen Low Sodium Very Veggie or Mott's Low Sodium Garden Vegetable and drink a couple glasses daily to add about 1500 mgs. Jazz up the taste with a squeeze of lemon juice. Look also for other juices like carrot, orange, banana combos that are low sodium, high potassium with no added sugar and use them as the base for a smoothie with added protein. Or do your own juicing at home with all those veggies and fruits to add loads of potassium to your diet. Stick with all natural unprocessed foods and eat one big salad every day with spinach, celery, avocado, orange slices, strawberries, basically any veggie has potassium and throw some lean protein onto the salad. My husband's blood pressure was 160-170/100-110 and with no medical drugs, and in a short time it decreased to 130/90 only by adding potassium rich low sodium veggies, fruits and juices made from them. Most doctors never tell you this specific information because they support the pharma companies instead. I have owned a natural food store for 30 years, and was an educator before that, plus grew up on a farm where we ate an abundance of farm fresh veggies so I am coming from a broad knowledge base.
After watching a video on keto, I decided to cut out the daily banana and orange juice. Around that time, I started having heart palpitations at night. They got bad enough to cause me anxiety which kept me up. It was happening like every half minute. The same doctor who made the keto film had another about low potassium. So now I know, and I'm back to having a banana and orange juice for breakfast. My palpitations have pretty much ceased at night, thank God, and the weird uncomfortableness in my chest. I've been eating about 7 almonds every day for a long time for the iodine so it's good to find out they have potassium too. The weather is hot and making me sweat during outdoor work so now that I know the importance of potassium, I bought some low sodium V8 which has 20% RDA of potassium per 8 oz serving and 40 calories and also Gatorlyte, which is expensive but has loads of potassium. I was shocked to see that Regular Gatorade and other sports drinks hardly have any! Thanks for the list, I've heard Avocados and Brazil nuts are good sources too
my daughters 22 yrs no speech no balance no motor skills shes been constipated all her life and on the relevant things to help her i give her mag in dist water allways however 5 days ago i put her in potassium adding it to her water to my suprise shes filled her diaper this morning and after her breakfast i know she will start looking and feeling better if this keeps up im really relieved that shes actually going wow and believe me ive tried every thing resorting to enemas im made up you have no idea so she has epilepsy i allways seen the conection with her seizures to when she has had to tiolet after 2 weeks some times i only hope this continues please pray for my daughter 😇💚
I had leg cramps but my fresh blue-green smoothie in the morning and a small red banana for desert in the evening have worked wonders! Thanks doc, for the lemon, vinegar, honey & water elixer too. I've lost about 50 in 6 months!
Depending upon the type of molasses you purchase, it has anywhere from 405mg., to 850 mg., of potassium per tbsp.. Good source of potassium and iron. No magnesium though. Good dietary sources of magnesium include whole grains, leafy green vegetables (spinach especially), as well as almonds, cashews and other nuts, avocados, beans, soybeans and fish, especially halibut.
No soy, estrogen mimicker unless ur eating fermented soy. Now they put soy in everything making men more femine. Read ur ingredient labels. Doctor always tell people to reduce all sodium and prescribe diuretics. Natural salt very essential pink or celtic sea salt is good option.
Your lecture is very informative. My leg cramp was gone after I resumed eating bananas, Ketomix nuts(Walnuts, Brazil nuts, Pili nuts , Pecans, Macademia nuts, Almonds, etc). God bless U Dr Mandell🙏.
So many foods contain potassium! I grow vegetables and I had grown butternut squash. There are 493mg of potassium in one cup of butternut squash. I usually make soup with apples, onions and spices. Food be my medicine! I’m 68 now and still growing my garden. People don’t like the vegetables because most of what come out of the grocery stores is already a week old. There’s nothing on earth like a home grown tomato! I love listening to you,its better than seeing the dr.!
Thank You Dr. Mandel. Love your messages of health, wealth & vitality. You are one of the Lord's messengers on this earth & how desperately we need your messages of how to stay healthy without spending boat loads of money. God bless you & the Mighty work you do for Him & us. Louise : )
Greetings Dr. Mandell. Thank you for the lessons in magnesium and potassium. Thank you for speaking so that we all can understand how important this is. Can you please help us understand Parkinson's decease.
Hi people I am back after over 2 years. I am still dealing with Barriers but doing well at age 87. A ton of stuff including the loss of my husband has kept me off line. Just not feeling like chatting. Good wishes to all.
God bless you, dear. I just found this vid now and 3 mins ago read your first letter. How neat to see you here again. I am 80 and love this doc. I have potassium and magnesium issues. Sorry for the loss of your husband but are doing well.
So sorry for your loss please accept my condolences. Please take care of yourself and keep in contact with us here anytime you want to chat! Love and god bless❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
@@NansGlobalKitchen Thank you my dear so much. I am doing well. I was in hospital for a few days. Barrters. Needed to get some I.v. potassium and magnesium. Fine now. Was out of hospital in time for my oldest daughters wedding. I gave her away. Wedding small because of the Covid but very lovely. My new son in law is moving us to his very lovely home. He is having a chair lift put in for me. I am so blessed.
Thank you so much for the information. I have had diarrhea for 2 weeks now. I had a spell about 6 this morning. I felt sick to my stomach. I went to the bathroom. I broke out in acold sweat. Had to wipe my face and neck. I was so sick I sat in the recliner and went to sleep. When my son came in there, he said I had no color, white as a sheet. Thanks to you I am taking my potassium.
Doc you missed the most abundant and important source of potassium the highest potassium you can get from a vegetable comes from the beet greens, most people just cut them off and throw them away but they are literally throwing away gold! Eat your beet greens, one serving has a ton of potassium in it, way more than bananas or avocados. I have a video on it on my channel.
Unfortunately beet greens are extremely high in oxalate needle crystals that micro blade your body and act like a Magnet 🧲 to other minerals ( oxalate calcium kidney stones ) and so you are stripping your body of minerals by eating High Oxalate Foods.
My mother gets the tingling sensation in hands, at old age home they get highly processed meat like viennas. I was told its a luxury treat for them. I had a meeting with the home manager and told him its too high in sodium and he said if she does not want to eat it she must get a drs letter. Wow they are feeding our parents bad stuff and think its a treat. Most of the home residents are on high blood pressure medication. This is a Badisa home Huis Uitsig in Cape Town, South Africa. 🇿🇦
I suggest you give her cream of tartar, small amount ( dissolved in water) which is high in potassium to help reduce effect of too much sodium? I live near Hartbeespoort
I have graves disease and woke up paralyzed from it, I was the 26 case in a 17 years and was the worst case in the USA at that time and was told that my body shuts off access to potassium due to my thyroid. I couldn't move for 5 days from the neck down and the dr.'s were surprised that I was alive and able to speak
Hello everyone, I am still doing well. Was in hospital some time back for IVs of magnesium and potassium. Will be 89 later this month, keep well everyone.
Wonderful to hear your doing well♥️
Thank you all.

Yes, they are a rare breed. I wish my Doctor would do the same, thankfully he has now retired.
I landed in the ER recently with this and actually still had to google and fumble around to get this information last week as I was basically just treated for my pain. Blood pressure was sky high and within two weeks of increasing my potassium it returned to normal. New subscriber here!
what measures did you take to increase your potassium and get better. I went to the ER also.
same here i went to the dentist and he said my blood pressure is at dangerous levels. I started taking potassium and it went way way down.
Omg same here I'm eating much more potassium rich foods after going to the er...they gave me too much iv fluids.
Please help me pray for her.🙏
She is only 30 years old.
Praying for both of you. Prayer works!

I would like to know where to buy nascent lodine. I appreciate all your information. THANKS, GOD BLESS
Kale and other cruciferous vegetables are awesome. Drink kale shakes. BTW you can also add some cream of tartar to water or in a smoothie.

Good to know
What?
😴❣️❣️❣️
I didn't realize that I have to be drinking coffee or anything like that to lose that mineral cuz I thought it was a daily ongoing process no matter what, no matter what!!!!
Not low but high blood pressure
You're the only doctor I'm not scared of. Thanks.

@@pullingthestrings5233 I’m glad you’re doing well. It’s hard to get enough potassium each day, good luck to you. 🙏🏼
wow momma k. i'm glad you are ok. i went to er in oct 2008. i ended up in icu with a k level at 2.4 and had to get bags pumped into my hands and was on a heart monitor. because the er was treating me like it was all in my head and very badly i told them i was leaving after sleeping most of the time in the er and kept telling them i didn't feel right my hands were tingling really bad and i was really tired. so they ended up treating me like it was a mental issue. finally the dr says to me "i found out what yr problem is" and he said "i don't even know how you can walk and talk how you are". i told him off as i was getting dressed because i had had it after 8 hrs of how they were treating me. after the icu visit from 2008 on i had to be on potassium. all the dr's even kidney specialist couldn't figure out why i was dumping all my potassium but seems after about 1 and half yrs after getting bad teeth pulled my kidney reversed and out of no were started functioning properly. I live alone too but i worry my heart has been damaged from the hypokalemia i suffered for over a decade!
I was sooo tired and couldn’t think straight, 2.5 when I went into the hospital. Not my first go round. Very useful information!
My doctor put me on Xanax 10mg x 4 times a day
Valium 10mg × 4 a day
Flexral 10 mg x 4 a day
Vicodin 750mg x 4 a day
Blood pressure meds x 4 a day
Naprisan 200mg x 4 a day
Tegretol 2000 mg ER x 2 a day
No, this is NO joke.
I went through the same things, just No seizures or coma .Up coming throat surgery July 9
Why were you drinking that much water? Were you trying to overwork the kidneys? Let your thirst dictate your fluid consumption. Like you would do with food (hopefully). Eat when hungry
Same here but with other meds. Now l eat a lot of meat, eggs, seasalt and water. I spoil myself with coffee with milk.
My doctor has never asked me what I’m eating they don’t seem to be interested in helping much at all these days
They weren't trained in healing through a healthy diet. They were trained to treat symptoms with synthetic dirivatives made at pharmaceuticals.
Right, all they want to do is pass out meds.Proper nutrition is the key.
Because they are not only IGNORANT, UNEDUCATED, UNCARING and STUPID.
Many can't advise you about food because they don't study this in medical school. You need someone who has taken the training.

What did you do about it?

My dad was having episodes of light headedness, almost passing out. He had one of those episodes when he was visiting me one time. So I took him to my doctor. She did a blood test. She phoned me when the results came back, but my dad was already on his way home and was at his hotel for the night. I gave her the number so she could phone him. She said his potassium level was dangerously low and she prescribed a potassium supplement for him. She said it could be very dangerous for him to have that low a level of potassium. I was so grateful for her excellent care of my dad. The problem was caused by his blood pressure medicine.
I like and respect this man, he is sincere in helping, not promoting stuff like all the others. God bless him.

🥀Terri Pierman🥀
Many thanks for the suggestions and for passing along your experience. Can't afford to see a Functional Dr. Of course, I've been misdiagnosed so many times, perhaps you could say I can't afford NOT to see a Functional Dr! Stay well 💞
Food is my medicine ! Eat more dark leafy greens & avacados ! Great for healthy bodies.
Functional doctor? Like, WHERE?
Blood tests wont show an accurate reading of your potassium levels. Because your potassium for the most part is INSIDE the cells.

Cheers! 🍌

Thank you for sharing your strong testimonies . Bless load !❤

You are correct. Vitamin D and magnesium compete with one another for absorption.
Thank you!

Beet greens are very high in oxalates, also, so caution for those with kidney stone issues.
Unfortunately beet greens are extremely high in oxalate needle crystals that micro blade your body and act like a Magnet 🧲 to other minerals ( oxalate calcium kidney stones ) and so you are stripping your body of minerals by eating High Oxalate Foods.
Don't forget arugula, very high in potassium.
