Start at 200 to 250mg...it took my palpitations away. It was my visiting nurse aid who was studying nutrition that told me some of the same. My primary doctor who is an internist AND vascular doctor was clueless why I had volatile BP that epuld fluctuate for no reason. Magnesium was the trick because I was eating a gently quantity of potassium and sodium but not enough magnesium. My doctor looked so dumb after my symptoms above went away with a magnesium supplement. I also changed my eating habits to 90% whole foods which greatly aided in constipation and weight loss.

Dr. Mandell, I was having soreness in my left shoulder for months. It got so difficult sometimes, I would have trouble lifting my arm to get dressed in the morning. I had no idea where it was coming from. I'm 50 years old, pretty healthy, and on no meds. But I eventually visited my doctor. He and I thought maybe I was sleeping awkwardly. I also had lots of stress going on at that time. I happened across your channel and this lecture. So, I tried taking 500mg of magnesium citrate every day. In two weeks my shoulder soreness went 80% away. Yes, I made some other lifestyle changes but I believe the magnesium is what made the difference. Thank you!!!

Could I please ask you which Vitamins and how many mgs of Magnesium and Vitamins ?
I'm not quite begging 🙏 but I am in Constant pain from Headache, for many years now. My family Dr. has said It's Not Migraines, but more than likely a "Reaction to all the Meds (I'm) taking over the years !" - So little help there.
I do suffer badly with Anxiety - for which I take "Happy pills", Muscle Relaxant & use CBT (Talking therapy) - I don't KNOW how Much they help, but I'm too afraid of what Might Happen, if I Stopped !! 😲
This last 3 years have been Totally dreadful though ! I started getting viral infections which, for some reason as yet unknown, had particularly chosen to destroy my lower jaws, gums & teeth !
I lost 6 teeth in total from mid 2019 to the start of 2020. That Really eff'ed up things for folks like me, as Dentist/Dental Surgeons were almost totally closed here in N Ireland. with only Non-invasive procedures permitted. Teeth extraction and trying to Stop "Receeding Gums" were unavailable (except for outright Emergencies - have U ever thought of pulling your Own teeth Out, Just to see the Dentist ?!!)
When taking to him though, I mentioned the Anxiety & Headaches. He thought the trouble with my Mouth, Teeth & Jaws were likely 1 of the "root" causes of the Headaches, with ongoing Infections also causing swellings which may/probably cause further infections, or pressure onto various Nerves in the Jaws & Ears !
      The silly song;
      🎼"Your, Head-bone's Connected to the...
      Neck Bone !' 🎶
🎵'Your Neck Bone's connected to your... Back-bone !" 🎶 Never seemed as appropriate, as it does these last few years !
Sorry, 🙁 I'm laying a lot on you, and you have more than enough of your own ! 😯 That's the trouble with CBT and using "Note-padding" to get down feelings. etc which is supposed to "help" establish problems and patterns to aid reasoning out what are the triggers for the Anxiety ! Unfortunately for you, you came along about the same time as I'm normally starting my "Notes" and you ended up with my questions instead of my Notebook ! I'm sorry for that too !!
So, Any answer would be very much appreciated, whenever you have time. Either way, Thank you for your time👍
and Best Wishes for your own Health and Well-being. I hope you get as Well as possible very soon 👍😉

@@PODBENN Magnesium does help with headaches. Therapeutic dose is 3000 mg., and only recommended at that dose if being closely watched by your doctor. You NEVER start at the high end. You only need what works. Vitamins are not a quick fix, it takes time. You should feel a bit of a difference over time. It takes time to get unhealthy and time to correct health. Usually you start with one 400 or 500 mg. pill (foods rich in Magnesium is the preferred way, but many use supplements, too) and see which level works for you. You adjust up and down as needed. Do read as much as you can on natural cures for (insert your condition-illness-disease) and search out needed info. Do read more than one site. One may offer this bit of info and the other site gives that bit. Do keep pen and notepad handy and take notes so you have a reference point to all the needed points. A Super B-Complex with the Magnesium and a Fish Oil helps, taken as needed when a high level headache starts if you catch it soon enough. It may help you, too. Has your doctor checked for Trigeminal Nerve damage? Read on it. It may explain yours. A good Neurologist is vitally important in headache care. If you get no results find a new one. Search till you find one that is of help to you. Some of the help they can give is heat and TENS therapy along with massage, etc., that can prove quite helpful. They can also teach you exercises that can help lessen the pain for many. Find one with a Gym and Therapy all in the same office/building. They can be of immense help. When going out in bright light (sun-snow-bright lights-flickering lights, etc.) do wear sunglasses. The brightness and other types can trigger headaches. There are neck exercises you might find very helpful. Stress can cause tight muscles in the neck. Work on neck exercises in addition to the rest of the self help. Many times it's a multi pronged approach that works. An accident and being jerked, pulled and stretched and slung around can cause headaches, but exercise over time works wonders on it for many. Can be painful to start, but once you keep doing them they get easier and easier to do and you notice you lose pain. Dehydration can bring on headaches. Drink plenty of fluids. Your diet can cause issues with headaches, too. Do a food intake log and make note of the days when your headaches are worse or brought on. Food can be a trigger. Allergic reactions can trigger headaches such as foods, smells like perfumes, smoke types, odors from clothing, furniture, vehicle emmissions and more. Living in a highly driven area can cause higher levels of vehicle carbons and bring on ill health with toxicity headaches included. Do read and keep reading to stay informed. It is vital to your health. Sleep Apnea can cause headaches. Get tested. Lack of good sleep can cause headaches, foods, dyes, preservatives, stress, life situations, all not remembered right now as triggers, etc., can cause them, as well. Detergents with perfumed strong smells can be a trigger, body soaps, deoderants, fabric softener sheets with perfume, perfumes, air freshners, floor cleaners, house cleaning products and more anything with an odor may be a trigger, but there are natural ways to accomplish many things that have headache causing added perfumes or odors to the products. Small changes matter. You may not be totally headache free, but you may discover how to lower them to bearable. Do your figuring one at a time so you know your triggers. Not all doctors know what Dr. Berg knows. It will take time, but you will self discover some things that add to your headaches. Do a log and show a doctor what you self discovered. It helps immensely in their knowing you and what might help. Drugs are not always the answer. A diet high in junk foods, salts and sugars can be triggers as can chocolate for some. It takes time to self discover, but you will be amazed at what you discover about self and how much healthier you are for it in a world of it is increasingly difficult to maintain good health. Pollutants are all around us and in foods. Buyer beware on foods do read the info panels. Disclosure: I am NOT a doctor or in any of the medical fields and the above information is a suggestion of help one fellow human to another in hopes it helps another to suffer a bit less when armed with knowledge. All the Best to you, God's Prayer's are sent your way for knowledge and less to no suffering in the upcoming days.

Quinoa is a seed that is harvested from a tall, leafy plant that is not a cereal grass ― that's a relative of spinach, beets and chard. And so quinoa is technically classified as a pseudo-cereal grain, along with amaranth and buckwheat.

I was having digestive & bloating issues, anxiety, unable to sleep and my doctor recommended i take it and I am so glad I added it to my daily regimen. I also take the powder vs the pills because it is already broken down and makes it easier for your body to process. If I don't take it, I am usually constipated the next day and don't sleep as well through the night. It comes flavored under the brand Natural Calm. I can't praise it enough! Hey doc I'm having to go back over the back of your video to write down these types of magnesium that are okay. It would have been really really helpful if you had put those types of good magnesium and the bad types in your description. That would give me something in writing to go to the grocery store with instead of having to go back and rewatch the video to try to capture the information. Thank you for your absolutely fantastic work sir!
I have gone back and I have recovered that information for anybody that wants it the good types are magnesium: citrate, maleate, Toreate, glycinate and possibly chloride. The ones to avoid our magnesium: aspartate, carbonate, sulphate, and glutamate. It's important to know this because I went to GNC to get the best magnesium they had and I ended up with GNC super magnesium and it is made of three types of magnesium aspartate as the first one lactaid followed by citrate. So obviously the only good one in the list is at the bottom and the worst one is the one with the greatest amount. I started taking it and I noticed instant diarrhea.

I ask a couple different doctors if they would give someone a magnesium drip and some would agree to it others said no! You are quite right but when you go to Dr's and tell them your symptoms they don't always delve deeper into lack of vitamins and minerals, and a few just thinks one psychotic or something and even miss diagnose for lack of proper checking. I have just had blood test and I can be pretty confidant they did not check for magnesium or anything of use. Especially as did not ask any questions pertaining to my problem, about 4yrs ago I had a very bad thyroid problem but no-one would listen to me just thought I was a winger until I lost so much weight I nearly disappeared. So don't hold out for much with what happening now, I am 66yrs and should be enjoying my retirement but I am not. The two things I’ve noticed since taking Magnesium Citrate, is that I used to have leg and insole of the foot cramps. I think Vitamin D3 along with Magnesium has given even better results. The second thing is that I have stopped taking Omeprazole for acid reflux. I was on it for years. Dodgy stuff it is too imho. I don’t need it now that I take Magnesium, D3, K2 and Zinc with copper. I feel my semi paralysed legs have more strength in them now too. My walking is significantly improved. I can also confirm that both Magnesium and D3 can make a difference to your mental health. I felt my mood lifting when I started D3and Zinc with the Magnesium. So that’s 4 things now. I am so glad to be rid of Omeprazole though. It concerned me quite a bit.

Question … what levels of magnesium are good for an all around healthy answer? And what if you get too much of it in your diet? It certainly sounds like this is a very ignored need within our physical health. Why? Thank you so much for your informative content.

Great information! I have found that magnesium has helped me in so many ways. No longer have high B/P! I have crohns and it’s helped my digestive system! Found out it was low when I broke my hip and was in hospital. I started eating better and I even have more energy. Thank you! ❤️

This video uploaded 6 years ago, is still more than relevant!
Wish you the best for the intensity of the focus to bring things to our awareness!
It would be nice if you could put :
    1. A list of the symptoms in the discription box, - and a list of:
    2. Natural foods, suppliments.
    3. Many of us are compromised due to
    stress of the temperature rise.
Which can cause drop in sugar levels due to rising up early, working hard and feeling hungry after 4 to 6 hours, with no healthy snacks!
When urgently/desperately searching that u tube instructional, informational video, we are blocked with ads!
Thanks for the time and effort producing these videos!

Dr. is correct regarding magnesium taking care of stress and irritability. I USED to take Valium. Now I bathe in magnesium flakes and I walk around in almost a state of bliss!! I cannot stress enough how correct he is about the changes that happen when enough magnesium is in our bodies!!

Dr Mandell always gives us good advice. I fixed my back and neck just by listening to him. I was quoted $4000 to fix my neck which I declined, the price went down to $2000 but I still declined the treatment. Thanks Dr Mandell.

Can I ask what you did/specific exercises you did to achieve this? Really pleased these videos have helped you so much. I'm currently paying a fortune to a chiropractor to help me with forward neck. Not convinced it's doing me any good. Perhaps I'd be better off with these video.
