Just reposted to my FB page with this comment: "Yes and YES! Listen to this NOW - however young/old you are, however much you've got it together or can't find your way. Profound." Thank you, Kathleen Taylor! I will revisit this frequently.

I have " Be true to yourself" tattooed on my right arm. After graduating high school I was in the military for 4 years, got my BA in film and television, worked at WB, travel the world twice and still doing so, finally moved to a different state I like, and just came back from Europe ( for the first time.) I'm only 33.

Wow what a beautiful talk. It reminds me that the world needs people to come alive. What's ironic is many people "come alive" when they are dying... Great job Kathleen!! :)

Something we all need to do...and, as parents, teachers, etc., permit, encourage, and help others to do as well!

Thank you Kathleen. Excellent lesson for all of us. As a success coach, I find we want inner peace. Which is achieved by being our true authentic self (stop the bullshit). I'll be sharing this video. Thanks again!

I have been thinking about making a bucket list of the things I would like to do but this has made me realize that life is not about me, it is about who I am and how I fit in to the bigger picture of family, friends, acquaintances, church, and society. Jesus had a bucket list. He said "I desire to keep the passover with my disciples before I suffer" It was about the people closest to him. How much do I care about the people who are close to me? Jesus cared so much that he went to the cross.

Before interfaces with surroundings a baby has nothing to be called true self. True self cannot be extricated from surroundings coz those are closely interconnected. You could only find your true self in your surroundings.
Having listened to a serious of TED, I realized that I won't leave any regret because my life is so boring as to willingly sit down and watch TED.

I think figuring out who you are is good but in some cases it isn't. For instance Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy and John Gacy all figured who they were and looked what flowed from that.
