Snicker Apple Salad
4 diced apples
1 cup diced snickers
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
3/4 cup milk
8oz cool whip
Caramel drizzle
You do not have to explain spending money on your vacation or any other time. You and Dusty earn you money, you get to decide what to do with it. And taking a memorable vacation with your children is a great way to spend it. No matter what it cost, that's your business. We all know that you do not waste money and you're careful about spending. you should never apologize for taking care of your family. Its your vacation, doesn't matter what the heck you spend as long as you are making memories, enjoying life, and spending the time together! I research lots of cheap things to do, we do not camp, but i do pack an electric skillet and cooler and essentials and i cook in the hotel room as often as i need to. I can make stuff my family likes to eat and we can get cleaned up and on to the destination. It is so great that they are getting to explore the country!

We're doing a road trip for my kids' spring break in 2024. Going to go through Utah and visit several National Parks as well as some stops in the Navajo Nation and a State Park.
For the Nathinal Parks, we're using the Every Kid Outdoors pass, free to any 4th grader, including homeschooling or free-schoolers 10- years of age. You all just need to be in the same car.
We visited the Grand Canyon when our oldest was in 4th grade.
I really want to bring my kids and family to Yellowstone. I had the amazing opportunity of being there 16 years ago for my 30th birthday. Hands down, one of my favorite National Parks.
Watching this series has gotten me so excited about our upcoming trip. Enjoy your vacation!!

I have to say I watch your channel all the time & I just love all that you & your family share with us. You are so generous & wonderful. I agree with you. That you can do a lot for free. My kids became interested in history, because there is so much you can see for free. We didn’t have much money when they were growing up, so free things is what we went for.

I took your breakfast sandwich idea but used fried Bologna instead of Ham , egg and cheese on bread , Brooke it was yummy ! Loved the video and the thrift store score was all great values ! I love roasted hotdogs over the Camp fire , they taste so much better ! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈

I have a extremely budget friendly simple dinner for you. We call it "Slop In A Bowl". What you'll need is 1 pound of ground meat ( chicken, beef, pork, turkey), one half of a medium onion, 1 family size can of Spaghettios ( Store brand is fine ) 1 family size can of pork and beans or baked beans, single wrap cheese or any cheese you have to melt on top ( optional ). Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste.
Brown the ground meat with the chopped up onion and salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add the Spaghettios and the beans. Heat through until its hot. Melt cheese on top if you like. This makes a big batch. If you can't get family sized Spaghettios and/ or ɓeans 2 regular cans will work.
Didn’t know you could cook baked potatoes in a crockpot….thanks for teaching this old dog a new trick 🐕
We did a 2+ week road trip up the coast of Cali, half way up Oregon, through Oregon and Idaho, down through Utah, and back to Phoenix. We stayed in campgrounds 5 nights (we could shower, laundry, dump and fill), the rest of the time we camped for free. We used iOverlander to find places. We plan to do the same this summer in New England.

Took the Texas grandsons to that same thrift shop five years ago.. They didn't pack jackets and we're headed to high country. Of course, being teens they scoffed at the need for warm outerwear.

New trick i learned when trying to make the egg sandwich. Put sum raw scrambled eggs in a cup, bout a quarter inch and put in microwave about 2 min. Easey peasy. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

We were blessed , to see the giesers that shoot higher, than Old Faithful, but they can't be times, liked they They can time of faithful. I was just as excited as Keilen, but 50years older. I could go on about our Yellowstone adventures for hours, just as excited as when they were happening. Enjoy and be blessed in your travels ❤
A cheat for potatoes regardless of how you bake / cook them is to microwave them first then throw them in your crock pot/ instapot / oven / or open fire. Absorbs the flavors of everything else. I m/w them at 5 to 8 minutes til soft then finish cooking while cooking the rest of the food.... Perfect every time.
