The only real hurdle I had during this was Explicator and inconsistencies with DPS phases on this loadout. For the every run I'd have one of three issues occur: him immediately taking a plate at the start of DPS, Dragon's Breath simply not working (despite hitting the boss), or the same with the Throwing Knife just doing nothing. All of which would throw off my rotation completely and essentially ruin an entire DPS phase.
The first I was told how to remedy in the comments, that it was caused by having the DPS phase going on for too long and breaking the threshold on the third plate, which often causes it to bug out the next DPS phase. My strategy originally involved waiting for Release Recover to proc, but that'd prolong the phase and cause that issue.
The second two were problems I still don't know the exact cause of, but ultimately I found a way around it. I'd start a DPS phase, immediately shoot Dragon's Breath and throw the melee straight after. When doing this, more often than not the Dragon's Breath either wouldn't ignite, it wouldn't deal damage at all, or the Throwing Knife would completely ignore the boss and do no damage (along with no debuff or Radiant proc). I went back and checked the footage multiple times, watching the Dragon's Breath and Throwing Knife hit the boss directly, or just phase right through him and do absolutely nothing both times. That'd usually be enough to either not break threshold on the first plate, or cause Dragon's Breath to have barely any stacks later on.
To fix this, all I did was wait a little bit between shooting the Dragon's Breath and throwing the Throwing Knife. As soon as I did that, I got the clear on that run and didn't have those issues. I don't know if there was a reason it would happen, or just an interaction I didn't understand, but that seemed to fix it.
Outside of that, this is quite simple to do, especially so this season and many people having done this already. There's probably faster ways to do nearly everything in this, but I just went about the transitions with my own basic approach.
I'm happy to have it finally out of the way anyway, as I kept putting this on the backburner simply due to not liking the raid. Not sure when or if I'll do other classes, but it's a long season so I'm sure I'll probably get bored enough at some point.

I think the most shocking thing of this run, is finding out that you still have red borders to acquire from RoN
As someone who raids religiously, me too hating this raid like he did. It's simply too boring with full 6-man, and it's annoying to run it low-man with all those slowing rockets from cabals or suppress from nezzy. Once I had the shotgun dropped, I just don't feel like running it. Still have 3 weapons to complete.

I played this game when it first came out and came back years later and I’m so confused as where to go and where people are located at the tower. Usually die first and the last one to show up in vanguard. And knowing my luck with that little health running and jumping to hide I would die and have to restart. Good job 👏

btw when it comes to explicator taking the plate as you start damage it works like stunning caretaker for solo. the game holds the mechanic until it can be performed again if the boss "fulfills" the animation for the mechanic to happen.
After 3 manning planets, I don't understand how he does it with such ease, especially on hunter. Truly remarkable.

Hi, I'm trying to learn this encounter. I can get to dps easily enough, but Nez just bounces me all over the place so I don't really get to actually dps. Is the position you're standing in an exact science so that Nez won't do any bouncing attacks?

I have a question for my own buildcraft purposes. At 9:56 he gets 3 seconds of restoration. How does one get that to work as a stasis hunter?
how does he get cure/restoration using the build on Cataclysm?
Very small thing I have a question on, every solo run I have found for Cataclysm has the very first node start on left. Is this just a coincidence and the more it spawned on the left the more frequently the first set was complete or do people wipe/restart until it starts on the left? I only ask because I rarely can spawn a tormentor and complete the set if it starts on the right, but almost always do it when it starts left. May just wipe for the placebo of left being better, I just wasnt sure if this was entirely a skill issue thing or what.

Saying this from the day RON released, I fully believe this was a finished dungeon but was changed to a raid because the higher ups wanted a filler expansion before final shapes.
