    10yrs later... you can always count on the TH-cam algorithm recommending coming out videos, that you haven't seen, recocomended during Pride month and on National Coming Out day. Great videos...would like to see more and find out where life has lead you.

    Nicely done please make a follow up I liked the way you talked about the lead up and your thoughts before you started telling people. This is really the most critical part - dealing with yourself & how and what that might mean for your future. It does make a difference to some people if they are not be comfortable with it. You talked about that very logically & well thought out. You are going to find a great guy because you are really a nice empathetic person. Can't wait to see more

    Just now caught your video and I want you to know how proud I am, like you I'm masculine and have never really come out and I'm really proud of all of those people who excepted you, I know all of my straight friends would except me also but it's really to late for me to go there. I've only been a one person person I found my true love at a very young age and I'm old enough to be your grandfather now and we were together for 53 yrs and 3 yrs ago he passed away in my arms , I just want you to know it's possible to have along and healthy life with someone if that's what you want. GodBless You Son 🍀

    So I want to say how cool it is that you speak your mind and such a down-to-earth way. I think sometimes that's the best way to communicate to people. What you say about it getting easier to tell people as time goes on is so true. I think about how I had to build up so much courage to tell people initially. Now I can practically tell people as if we were discussing the weather. I too am not a feminine person nor do I seek a feminine guy to date. I went to school for environmental science but right now I am a PDR technician doing painless Dent removal. Every single day at work I think about how many people have no idea / let alone think that I'm gay. I'm cool with that because it really means that I'm being myself. I'm not influenced by the feminine nature of certain people to follow a stereotype. I'm still a guy like you. Thanks so so much for sharing this!

    I am prior military and a martial arts instructor I had 4 dojo's at one time and I am gay, alot of people were suprised but the only one that was disapointed was my dad, he is a Baptist preacher and when I told him I did not hear from him for a week and I figured I would never hear from him again and about a week later he showed up, he does not like it but he is getting better now, I realized that if it took me 20 yrs to accept myself I cant expect someone to accept it instatly, give them time they will eventually come around, I think us gay people always think of the worst and are suprised when it doesnt happen, we make it harder in our minds than it has to be. Take care to everyone and love life.

    I like your point about people being scared of things they don't understand--I guess that's kind of true with some people and COVID vaccines! I appreciate you sharing your story--I came out in my high school yearbook quote in 2020 with "I started high school with straight A's...now I'm not even straight! I'm still me, though!" Super scary decision but I'm glad I did it, and seeing other coming out videos helped me. It is people like you who are inspiring people to own who they are, so I thank you immensely :)

    very well done.. I'm glad you came out for yourself... I was pretty much forced to come out. It wasn't a bad thing though, my best friend told my mom about 3 years ago, my mom and I were having a lot of arguments and she decided to call my friend to seek some sort of guidance into my issues (depression and stuff), my friend ended up telling her the core of my self-loathing behavior, that I'm gay. My mom started bawling and asked why I didn't personally tell her that, I knew she was hurt, but she wasn't mean about it, she learned how to accept me and I'm happy for that, my dad also knows, he took it perfectly well, and a few friends know, but I can honestly say that without my friend... I think I would still be living a lie right now.... I'm almost 20, and I'm happy my parents know and I don't have to lie to them anymore, it's a huge relief, but a assure you... my problems... are FAR from over...... coming out really isn't the answer to my happiness.... I have so many other things to deal with... I even doubt the purpose of my existence.. but whatever, it doesn't matter Also, I think you're very attractive... hehe... ;)

  • @CleggZoex
    @CleggZoex 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really liked your video. I think its great that everyone was so accepting and loving to you :] I feel the same way as I still am 'in the closet' and I've never been feminine either and in day to day life you wouldn't assume that I was gay. Hope you have a great day ;]

    It is always difficult coming out to another person over the duration at the beginning. Definetly understandable about having a life that you don't have to be constantly ridiculed and judged based on orientation. Even though it's 2014, people's mind set may be changing, churches and the armed forces are becoming accepting but it is still a fight for many years to come. But yeah, definetly a good feeling once u blurt it out. I know it was for me at first I was soooo relieved lol

    I'm glad you had a good response to coming out. Everyone is not that lucky. I came out to my family and friends. My parents disowned me. My dad actually took a restraining order out to keep me away from him. My sister and brother wont talk to me. My friends have been fairly cool with it and I have cousins and aunts that have been there for me. But it has been very hard. I wish everyone would stop judging people and accept them for who they are. Good luck and support is very important.

    Thank you for sharing your story, ( be proud of yourself ) I love to see masculine gay guys especially really good looking ones. Nice to see you working a blue caller tradesman job. I have worked as a heavy duty mechanic / commercial transport mechanic most of my life. On the downside, being masculine I often hear homophobic shit from people that don't know I`m gay.

    A lot of people didn't know I was either I went through puberty in 6th grade and I knew what was going on with myself with knowing that I was gay and everything but I really didn't know what it was at first it was rough didn't have any role models that's what was the bad thing was it was kind of all right I didn't come out until after I came back from the Army couple years after that but I didn't mind not saying anything because well I had dates come over and I slept over if I would have said something to my parents I would have been happening so I enjoyed my privacy it was my thing and I talk to people when I was ready best of my friends and everybody didn't have a clue, it was summer after 7th grade before starting a grade certain people I would see you and then come over to my house I have no problem with it whatsoever my first boyfriend it was awesome unfortunately when I was down the shore at the beach house my uncle stopped by our house my boyfriend was using the pool and using my room I could trust him but my dad found out he was staying at the house it's a three-story house a lot of privacy and my dad found out and I got a bunch of crap for it and I didn't save my boyfriend for a couple years talk to him for a little bit just before I went in the army and I was glad I kept it under wraps, i was put on the spot a couple times when some girls in high school will put the moves on me I would take him out on a date and that was it there was no closeness involved at all couldn't do it, After seventh grade I knew I was gay I need a little education and I got it from a schoolmate he actually describe some stuff to me like sucking dick? I thought that was just an expression I didn't know people really did it, I didn't even know how to masturbate somebody taught me it was a classmate of mine I was never happier then I fully understood what my life was going to be like.

    That's fantastic with your courage! You're a great model for others. By the way, a bisexual friend of mine told me this, which really helped me: Being Gay is NOT a choice. Being Bisexual IS a choice, i.e., being attracted to both sexes is a CHOICE. You choose either boy or girl. But being Gay, you're only attracted to the same sex (not a choice). Straight people are only attracted to the opposite sex. If a Straight person argues that it's a choice, all you need to say is the following: "You, who are straight, chose to be with the opposite sex. That means you were attracted to BOTH sexes and CHOSE the opposite sex, right?" You'll then hear a pin drop on the carpet, and he or she will be at a loss for words. God does not make mistakes in his infinite wisdom, where a certain percentage of the population is Gay. Why is a certain percentage of the population left handed, while the majority is right handed? Same analogy. Countless Gay, as well as Straight, are loving, caring, sharing, and productive human beings. Period and end of story.

    @19grinNbearit81 Sounds like a smart arse comment made after you already know. I've met plenty of straight guys who have characteristics that are far less masculine than this guy. Maybe you want to take the kid down a peg or two because of his youtube name, maybe you're miffed that he doesn't conform to the stereotype, whatever. Chances are he's got more strength and courage than his straight contemporaries, or people who post derogatory remarks behind a pseudonym.
