42,000$ is the most reasonable price ive heard in a long time. I was reverse shocked
A good price but still expensive
Xrt is a wannabe off-roader with unproven reliability. This is an unibody design (like your sedan). I rather have a 4Runner sr5 premium Toyota $38,000 here or trd off road premium 4Runner for $4000 more which is one of the top vehicle that retains its vehicle after 5 years. 4Runner is a body on frame truck suv. This Hyundai will lose 50% of its value in its first year making it a great used car to purchase.
We love our 2024 Santa Fe Limited. Nothing to complain about.
Did you look at the rear of the vehicle before you bought it? Or haven't you got there yet?
@@ytj22I don't see rear of my car when driving. It still looks better than cyber truck or Bentley bentyaga from behind
@@mrdato116 Fair enough, if those are your benchmarks then I suppose you're correct.
Should have bought the caligraphy
You do a great job with your reviews! We just bought this exact same car/model/color two weeks ago. Completely happy with space, drive, comfort, and tech.
Thanks for what you do!
Enjoy the honeymoon!! 👍
I hated column shifters in cars. They remind me of an old person with arthritis trying to put the car in gear. However, Hyundai did an amazing job executing the column shifter without making it look outdated. I love how you can just twist and turn it rather than pulling it like an old Buick. I can actually live with this type of column shifter. Anything that reminds me of Shady Pines, I’m backing off.
Don't worry you're going to be an old arthritic decrepit mess one of these days. Then what are you going to do? Oh that's right, you won't be driving by then. You'll be rolling around Shady Pines in a wheelchair. 😂
Hi Ben! Love your reviews. You also recently reviewed the Atlas peak edition. Would you go with the XRT or peak edition Atlas?
That column shifter is a great idea and clears out a lot of space in the center console. Unfortunately, my previous experience with a Hyundai and a Kia, I would hesitate to own another one. Suspension creaks in cold weather at 5 years old. Cracked windshield washer pump. Loose bolt holding the tailgate spoiler. Broken parking brake. Headlights randomly turn off while driving. Randomly finding the parking lights on when you open the garage in the morning. Just odd things like that. But the features at the price point are VERY attractive.
Some tall people seem to hit their legs on the collum shifter.
Flex and land rover defender is spot on. It's what I thought seeing it in person as well. Personally my favorite trim for value to price
This Santa Fe has very clean and understated styling that’ll look good in ten years, a rarity from Hyundai
Yep! It Breaks just like a Range Rover 😂 I saw car confections video about the blown transmission on their ‘24 Santa Fe, but all cars have issues including my Toyota with a blown transmission at 70k. And my son’s ‘17 Tucson’s engine blew at 40k but I think it was do to his constant speeding and not keeping an eye on the oil dipstick - Hyundai just gave him a New Engine for Free. So I would buy this SF even though it’s not going to last as long as my Hondas, Acuras & Toyotas.
I had a 300s with 320K miles if that last I am sure this will to
Exactly what I thought ford flex...my wife has one. Thanks for the video
I’ve got a 2022 with 72,000 miles on it (I drive a LOT for work) and other than routine maintenance, it’s been trouble free
Love the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024
4:56 I like the column shifter, but I’m not a fan of the gauge cluster just being an upright screen behind the wheel with no housing/covering.
This reminds me of the Land Rover Defender for 1/2 price. Cheaper and hopefully more reliable. The 10 year warranty is a great 👍🏾selling point .
My concern is that wet DCT. Hyundai took it out of the all new Kona. I believe they know that its a problem but they want to get rid of overstock, before they make the necessary change across all vehicles. Thats just my assessment.
Bingo! 💯
I'm gonna wait until they make the switch.
Nice looking. Decent price.
I’ve been calling it the Hyundai Flex sence it got announced hahahaha
You're right! It's just as reliable as a Range Rover! More crap from Hyundai
Great ride, seriously considering it for my next car. Only thing I dont like is the DCT -- already have seen multiple reports of total transmission failure in need of replacement. Also the steering wheel eye sensor will automatically shut off adaptive cruise control and all your active safety features if it cant see your eyes, so depending on if youre holding the wheel at 12 o'clock it may not see your eyes.
Just get the Hybrid version, no DCT, reliable AT 6 speed transmission
@@DualITofficielwhat hybrid? 😂
Santa Fe 2024 Hybrid...It doesn't get the DCT crappy transmission@@magnoliap5824
Nice review... probably more reliable than the Range Rover as well.
Hyundai built a awesome suv love the tell lights and head lights there cool suv
I think Hyundai has been trying its best to improve and it shows. Unfortunately we have a large number of Hyundai/Kia haters who just go buck-wild crazy trashing on these cars like a pervert in a porn shop.
Thinking of trading in my 23 outlander for this.
Ben, you gotta start talking about how wide the center console is and how wide the handle on driver door is and for big 6ft tall or more guy or gal you can't really open your legs to be comfortable you will feel confined on a long trip. The seats are very narrow. That's why Hyundai as not released front hip room yet. The Ford Maverick is actually wider than the Hyundai Santa Fe. And the duel clutch transmission is a no go!!!!!
evening the steering wheel looks like a range one😂
I need this…
Quite surprised the XRT increased height didn't come from a different suspension... they should have went for it....
Ben's starting to look more and more Amish 😊
Haha
Or Al Borland
I like it I am. Looking ...... 25 Chevy traverse, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 diesel, Nissan rogue, Chevrolet equinox, or Hyundai Santa fe, what do you think????😮
Nissan rogue is the best in that list
The Traverse is huge, can’t even compare it to this vehicle IMO. 😂
Surpasses Acadia on lux& ruggedness Tange Rover and sorento have a baby and it’s a little palisade 😮
looks like an amazing vehicle for 42k but wouldnt trust it to go more than 30-40k miles without problems
I've never had an issue with any Hyundai or Kia I have owned. Well over 42k of miles. Time will tell. Now the Dodge Durango I currently own, I don't see having no issues when it's over 40k miles.
My Hyundai has.
Hey but that means it has better reliability then a Land Rover 😁
Drew and Mason already needed a transmission replaced but after that, it's been pretty good. TH-cam channel Car confection.
My mother in law has 200k miles on her old Santa Fe lol. You just a 🤡. Don't be jealous of good looking car. Just buy it
Rear lights look weird too low
I drive a box van for work delivering auto parts and the low mounted Kia/Hyundai turn signals I cannot see if the car is near me.
I wouldn’t dare. Looks good though.
Basically cost = range rover ?
More ⚡ ⚡⚡ stuff to break. It does look nice though
Its a beautiful poor man's range rover. Also I've heard about how brand new santa fe transmission failed under 100 miles... Apparently it didn't wanna shift from 1st gear to 2nd.
Not that long ago, people would've flipped out over the price. 42K for a Hyundai?
How times have changed quickly.
Cry more 🤡. Go buy Toyota land cruiser for 55k with no options. Probably has same problems as new Toyota tundra
@@mrdato116 and the new santa fe is already having trans problems with their DCTs.
@@1996ChevroletImpalaSS no they don't, it's 2 gay guys who don't know how to driver. Anyways Hyundai will be always more reliable than Chevrolet lol
@@mrdato116 they barely even have the car for one day. And another person in the comments on car confection’s video had the same issue. Modern chevys are crap, and honestly hyundai is much nicer for the price but a 90s OBS chevy will outlast any hyundai/kia, old or new.
It’s seems to be just as reliable as a Ranger Rover (e.g., Car Confections).
That’s just one issue, and it’s isolated not widespread
It must come in india 🇮🇳 people like it ...❤
2:08 that key looks like it is waiting to slip out of owners hands and hit the pavement within seconds of buying the car. 😬
It’s like a reliable well built Range Rover. Would you Look at that!!
The Santa Fe has a DCT instead of a normal automatic transmission. It’s worth noting that out, because DCT are problematic.
He got carried away he was gonna shopping with the Hyundai
$42k seems pretty reasonable, this is what the new Toyota 4Runner should have looked like IMO.
I would spend couple more thousands and get 4Runner. Better quality and resale.
This looks like a range rover
7:48 umm, I expect a $40,000 vehicle to have decent build quality and not feel cheap, but maybe that is just me. 🤷🏼♂️
I'd rather buy a used range rover evoque 2020 r dynamic for less than this looks like g wagon mixed with defender
trans issues are prevalent very very premature.
NIce beard man, never cut it
It looks like a Ford flex and a dodge journey hate child with taillights inspired by a VW T3.
Wow, what a handsome child that would be😂
It would be the perfect SUV but it's missing moon/sun roof
Heated seats but no ventilated? FAIL
Yes it could very well be a rebadged Land Rover.
This needs a lift to help its overall look. Also, terrible taillight placement.
But progressive covers range rovers. Not Hyundai's 😂
Yes they do.
Steering wheel straight stolen from Land Rover
All that $ you spend on autos and that's the best you can do with your shoes?
The rear look is so horrendous arguably the worst designed rear end in the industry 🥴 also the “digital gauge cluster” isn’t actually fully digital. It’s their version of their lower end gauge cluster but they’ve made it look more like a fully digital cluster. You can tell by how the center part of it is an actual screen but the speedometer and odometer are more of a “colored calculator”. They do offer an actual digital gauge cluster on higher trims.
Basically a Range Rover! Is it that bad!
The ford flex comment ruined the whole vehicle for me 😕
It looks cheesy with that H Headlights and Taillights. Trying too hard to be unique.
Ha, it wishes it was a Range Rover. Not in this lifetime.
ITS not even close to a RANGE ROVER!! ….It screams Hyundai!!!!! That’s why its under $50,000
That slanted cut off back is ugly as sin, it looks almost unfinished and is guaranteed that will age poorly design wise. Like other viewers commented, another YT channel posted their experience with their broken transmission after barely driving it. So yeah that compares it alright with a Range Rover. The interior looks amazing though, One of the problems with Hyundai is that they do not have an identity yet, They drastically change (too often) the appearance of their cars hoping to make up for their underlying quality issues (engine, transmissions). I dare anyone to spot an older Hyundai car on the street and recognize it. Other than the logo all their cars have totally different looks that is making it very hard to distinguish. If you add to that their reputation of not being the most reliable then...it almost makes their products forgettable and disposable. This car will be recognizable but not for the reasons Hyundai hoped
Their Santa Fe was a lemon. Not common issues. And new Hyundai are more reliable now.
@@bradleyscarreviews That could be very well true however it doesn't help a company who's trying hard to shake off the past and get rid of that "unreliable" label. I am not bashing them and it seems lately they did make big progress on the quality front but it is a hard pill to swallow when your brand new car needs a new transmission(lemon or not) and it comes round full circle hurting the company's (already bad) reputation
Car park reviewer.
He doesn't even know the Range Rover design.
He don't know driving and car design.
How can he be a car reviewer?
weak transmissions
Nope.
Good for about 2 years then throw in the trash 🗑️ tipical Hyundai and Kia
Nope.
This is not a Range Rover.
i do not trust anything Hyundai. 😒
But here you are..FOH
10 year 100k warranty
The past was the past
But you trolling, you take your time just to come here and say You don’t trust them 😂😂😂
@@Defy_Conventionthere’s a reason for that, they know it’s gonna break🤷🏻♂️
It may look like a Range Rover but it is anything but one. Please educate yourself before making such a clickbait.
That faulty DCT transmission will tank protected sales for Hyundai. Car Confections only got 27 miles in on there newly purchased Santa Fe before the transmission failed on theirs. Fellas save your money for one of the Japanese brands.
It is an isolated incident. Not widespread.
Grand Highlander’s are having transmission issues.
