Yes they have replied within a day But there is about a two month wait if you want one at the moment as I'm getting it colour coded so takes a few weeks nore
these are available on various sites ebe and gummi and aliwawa etc but they are not powder coated. I notice yours is blue. Did you coat it yourself or did it come like that? Its good to see that these are holding up ok. i might get one if i see yours is still holding now as you have had it awhile.
Looking to update my canopy and came across this video on the website. Just a quickie though. My canopy comes with central locking and sits over the tailgate to stop people accessing the tub, is there a way to do it on this canopy or have you upgraded the tailgate to the central locking?
Hi Adam ao watched you as you have been installing the Canopy onto the Isuzu D-Max Ute. I have purchased the new 2023 Isuzu D-Max Ute Space Cab model. I selected this model as I can camp in during trips here in NSW. I have not seen any Canopy that would go onto my D-Max Ute. I will be very grateful if you can help to advise me how to have a Canopy built for my vehicle. I would appreciate your assistance in getting some information who can help me please. King regards John Dickson.
Hi Adam. Great video! I'm shopping for a canopy myself and this looks like a nice alternative to a RSI. I imagine price was a major factor in going with this unit.
Nope, just ran down the inner and ran up under in the rear corners where there's a small gap that goes into bending the tail light. Just made up a connector
Hi Adam, I’m looking for a similar canopy for my Ranger, are you supplied with keys for the locks ? did you do a vid on installing the positive pressure vent
How did you cover the GAP between the rear window and the tailgate ? My canopy from Canetoad is up but there is a small Gap that i want to seal as far as i possible can.
Hi Mate Seriously considering purchasing one of these. Why do you think they are able to offer it at such a good price point compared to the competitors?
I originally mounted it to the two crossbars on the top of the canopy and bolted it down there but have since modified the rack that it came with so they would slot inside those steel racks from all flush fit (and so I can be under 2 m and get into car parks 😂)
How do you feel about the supplied clamping brackets? I find mine could can be a bit of an obstruction and a potential hazard if I have the pups in the tub with how much they protrude out! Thinking of trying an alternative clamp or a nutsert type of system for a more streamlined finish. Have you thought about this too? 8:48
Hey hey, yep sure did, ran it down the left side and in the back corner there's a gap up under the tub corner area to run a wire to the tail light area
@@VideoShowMeHow awesome as thanks man! Did you use quick connectors or solder crimps when you spliced it in? And the interior LED light, what did you wire that to? 😜 Sorry for all the questions haha, my canopy is on the pallet in my garage ready to be assembled tomorrow!! 😍
@@VideoShowMeHow oh sweet I noticed you didn't under the tub. Guessing the clamping down would squeeze it down so you wouldn't require the Sika. I can't help but feel I should sika the joins, taping off each side of the joins to keep it neat, just in case 😂 but it's probably overkill.
Quick q….. is it a simple process attaching the roof top tent? It looks like the rails run north south along the edge or are there other rails required? Cheers
Yeah I had attached to the rack that I got with it as mine was north south rails also. Have since modded the rack to install inside the rails if that makes sense so nice and flush 👍
Awesome mate! I see the load rating is 200kg rated - I wonder if this is static or dynamic load? One of these with a RTT looks very appealing to me, I'm just wondering if me + my partner + RTT's weight would exceed it, but we're only small... 😂
@@VideoShowMeHow awesome!! I'm really gravitating towards a steel canopy for mine hey, so torn between a tub rack/RTT, all out tray+canopy (albeit crazy expensive) or this route, which looks the most promising thus far... 😍

Yeah still going great guns, they offer colour match which I went with, can see the details on their website
Hi Adam. Loving the channel. It's probably been covered elsewhere, but how have you sealed the tub/tailgate?
Just some d rubber from Bunnings and have recently installed a positive pressure vent with fan so will see how that goes

Hi Adam, I’m just about to order a canopy from canetoad for my ranger, are you still happy with yours?
@@russellsarahtreloar5584 hey mate, yep sure am, still running it and have been adding to it with table etc, will have a follow up vid soon 👍

for sure, like the steel as well, has been excellent so far and survived the Cape trip with flying colours. Follow-up post 8k Cape Trip out vid soon
how did you connect the tail light did you buy. any adapter to run it from the original lights ?? thanks mate
Nope, just ran down the inner and ran up under in the rear corners where there's a small gap that goes into bending the tail light. Just made up a connector
I like the look of the canopy but waiting keenly for post trip review before I purchase.
Love the in-depth install videos.
Cheers

Will be out within the next week
Great looking canopy but I must say, the instal of my rhinoman was much nicer for me 😂
Hi Adam, I’m looking for a similar canopy for my Ranger, are you supplied with keys for the locks ? did you do a vid on installing the positive pressure vent
@@russellsarahtreloar5584 hey mate, yep bunch of keys. No vid on the vent sorry mate, but is an easy job

@@JohannStoltz there should be a foam seal that gets installed on the bottom of the canopy window. There needs to be a bit of a gap for movement 👍
Been waiting for this one!!
Great video! Where did you get the paint work done?
CaneToad Equip organised, they can colour match any car
Hey Adam thanks for the video, any reason you didnt apply the rubber underneath the canopy when installing?
Hi, yep used the foam padded strips
Yep looks great!
Hi Mate
Seriously considering purchasing one of these. Why do you think they are able to offer it at such a good price point compared to the competitors?
I think classic example of no big name branding to pay for
Did you paint it yourself?
No it's an option 👍
@@VideoShowMeHow Ah very nice! did you buy straight from China or from a local distributor?
Aussie retailer, link in description
Hi love the video thinking of doing the same canopy setup how long was delivery for canopy and would you recommend this canopy
Yep still running it, going great, few more things on it since this vid. I picked it up from their warehouse
Hey mate do you have a video of how you mounted your roof rack? I’ve got a rhino rack platform and wondering how you mounted yours to the canopy?
I originally mounted it to the two crossbars on the top of the canopy and bolted it down there but have since modified the rack that it came with so they would slot inside those steel racks from all flush fit (and so I can be under 2 m and get into car parks 😂)

Seem to be fine so far? They kinda sit flat ish from the front anyway. Haven't noticed anything getting caught under so far :)
So I’m guessing this doesn’t come already painted?
Comes powdercoated black usually, I opted for the colour match that they can do as an option
What's it weigh?
~80KG
Hey again Adam!
Did you wire the 3rd brake light to one of your tub taillights? 😁
Hey hey, yep sure did, ran it down the left side and in the back corner there's a gap up under the tub corner area to run a wire to the tail light area

Thats one ugly canopy. Nice video tho
😂 Each to their own I guess? Am a big fan of the square ones 😉
Hey bro where can i buy the same ???!
Link in video description 👍
Did the foam tub rim protecter come included?
Yep
Hey man another silly one 😅😂
Did you sika the canopy to the tub?
No such thing as silly Q's .. no not underneath line I show in the vid, I did sika around the edges to seal

I just ordered the same canopy you got any idea how long it will take to get it as I ordered it colour coded White

I too am looking to order this have you had any updates @william
Yeah but they are on back order will take till end of January to get mine

Does it come with an instruction manuel
Sure does
Are there options without any glass?
I believe so, best checks with them

its made from china. theres no brand on it.
Linked in the description mate 👍
I can’t see the canopy brand either
i wish someone made a steel canopy for my Navara.
I think they have them for the navs as well? Worth a look on their website
mine is a D40. They only make them for the newer shape@@VideoShowMeHow

If the weight is only 80kg its not that bad really.
Yeah, prob a new increase of 50 odd I reckon by the time the factory roller and sail plane is removed
