An old saw. Motomix in it. Hardend fuel hose. At this moment I knew what to do… Clean it, exchange all rubber hoses, diaphragms and adjust the carb. Saw ok for the next 40 years.
@@marriedwithsmallengines I would let you check out my saws if I couldn't do this myself. Great channel and really building up some fabulous views. Hope you guys have a nice Spring!
This video game me deja vu vibes big time. My father was a Stihl dealer in WA state, and I bought an 034 Super (later renamed 036) during the summer of '89. Cut, split, & stacked several cords that summer. Worst decision I ever made was selling that saw when I went away to college.

OK this is now my favourite channel. I enjoy the methodical way in which you diagnose the faults and your explanations. I feel I know a lot more about the pressure/vac tests from watching you and will endeavour to get one for working on my old saws. The close-up footage is a great addition!

I enjoyed your troubleshooting methodology because it covers the three essential things for combustion..... compression, fuel and ignition. You are indeed a good teacher. Enjoyable video.
