  • How to Install an 2.5" Rubicon Express Lift Kit on Jeep Wrangler JL
Check out our super easy 2.5" Rubicon Express Lift Kit install on our new 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL, we ordered the JL7140 SuperFlex 1.5/2.5 lift kit but the rear lower control arms are on national back order so we decided will start with just install the front and rear coils. As this is an option without buy the upper/lower control arms for around $350.
this will be a multipart series.
1st video will install the Rubicon Express front and rear coil springs.
2nd Video install front Rock Jocks Anti Rock Sway Bar Kit

So im in the middle of this. Is it odd the rear track bar stays the same length when youre adding 2.5” to the height? I removed it, and had to jack up the left side of the axle to connect it back. Triangle math is making me scratch my head on this

So doing this requires no need to. Disconnect the trackbar or draglink. To install

Since this is only a 2.5” lift there was no need to remove the trackbar or draglink. We did install RockJock Antirock sway bars once we recived the adjustable control arms. Check out our channel as we did in full install on them. Thanks for watching…

Why are all the 2 and 2.5 lifts giving 3.5-4 inches of lift?

I think it has do do with the type of Jeep and lift, 2 door vs 4 door and Sport vs Rubicon.

Rubicon express shocks are absolutely junk. But priced cheap so you get what you pay for.All your screws will come out of your jeep because of vibration . It Hits hard, you feel every bump, go with a shock that only focuses on making shocks like Fox shocks. Cheapest you’ll pay for all 4 shocks should be 1000.

We have to disagree, been running these shocks for a while and they have worked very well, we’re not racing KOH or Baja 1000, lots of our local trails. These shocks have been valved to work with RE spring rates we installed on this JL. We have ran many shocks, Fox, King, etc We run ADS our ultra 4400 race car. It all about the system working together.

@@5150MotorSports mine hit so hard it broke my spare tire off my poison spyder rear bumper. The tire flew into traffic, All my screws are randomly falling off my rig , my ac motor stop working my rear lockers broke,I started watching videos to realize it was my shocks causing all my problems. For my Jeep it’s bad! If you live close I’ll take my Jeep to you and show you. I have a new brand on order now

@@poke777890 sounds like maybe your shock are bottoming out which means your shock does not have the correct amount of travel and hitting the internal limits within the shock. The primary job of the shock is to damped the spring from rebounding to quickly. Hopefully you new shocks work out better for you. If your interusted we have some new Fox 2.5 piggy reservoirs smooth body for sale.
      Thanks 5150

Hi, I've been having issues with my sway bar end links contacting the rear brake line support brackets at full flex. How did these S-Shaped endlinks fair?

Were actually purchased the JL7140 Rubicon Express kit with the Super-Flex upper and lower control arms, but the rear lower arms were on back order. The JL7141 is basically the same kit but with out control arms and what was covered in this video.
Video coming soon we will be adding the Super-Flex controls arms Thanks for watching!

@@samr5179 We have not install them as yet and we are running 35" tires. When we checked the alignment it was within spec, but will install the washer when we install the Super-Flex upper and lower control arms.
