Absol can learn bite by level up it is not neceasary to breed an absol to get the move via egg move, abosol can't learn crunch and faint attack by level up and that is really stupid.

Game Freak saw this as an opportunity to rework almost every Pokémon’s moveset that was still in the game. On the flip side, Haunter couldn't learn the elemental punches by TM or move tutor in Gens 2 and 3, despite having hands. Only Gengar could learn the punches. May I remind you that Haunter learns Shadow _Punch_ when it evolves from Gastly?
