    Thank you for taking us through the slope and offset calculation step by step. Much useful.
    Can you please help to understand the application of offset value?
    Specifically - upon arriving the slope and offset as narrated in your lecture, let us say we have measured mV in an unknown solution and the value is 100mV. How do we apply the Slope and offset to correct the 100 mV reading?

    Great explanation but I have one dought why we calculate slope and offset at pH meter ,what is the purpose for slope and offset in pH meter.

      slope is calculated in order to eliminate errors caused due to temperature and other variations. In ideal case that is when the temperature of reference and the pH solution is 25 deg celcius in that case slope appears to be 59.16mV/pH but it will change with change in slope
