This goof pisses me off, man. Going around bragging about how he got hired while having a record, then goes to disrespect the company that chose to give him a chance. What really makes me angry is I have a record and I'm trying to put my life together, and prove to others that I can do it. And this dude's out here pretty much saying "Hey low income/entry level jobs! Don't hire those with records, we're bad and will always be bad people"

I’ve gone hungry even when I wasn’t homeless and I had a job, it just didn’t pay enough for me to be able to pay rent and buy food. There’s different levels of struggle for sure, but to freely waste food like that you maybe haven’t struggled all that hard.

I feel bad for the person who did the food prep for all that food, for it all to go to waste. Subway is one of the easier fast foods to be in and he threw it all away for nothing😂 reminds me of the guy begging Logan Paul for a job a few weeks ago

as someone who works at a subway now idk how its "easier" for food serivce, its been the most hell one ive been in so far. It might just be the one i work at but we dont have time to even pee or anything at mine. We are expected to work nonstop which is so different from anywhere else in food service ive been at. Every place is different and sadly i guess i got stuck with the worst of the worst, the only benefit is we are paid way more than most places for the shit we have to deal with everyday from customers.

We are very privileged to have resources like food in this country. While it might be tough to find an apartment and pay bills, I have never experienced hunger and I hope no one goes through it. Seeing food wasted is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Most restaurants do nothing not even background checks to learn about someone’s past. As a sous chef who has to sometimes hire people , it’s infuriating. They do not do background checks. Especially after the pandemic…. Employers are desperate. I literally stopped cooking for 6 months because of this. It’s ridiculous as hell.

The way I was treated as a Subway employee was borderline abusive and all I can think watching this is how much work he just made for his coworkers and how much trouble that manager could get in for wasted food. I would've actually cried if this happened at my Subway (bc that job had me constantly near tears....)
Anyway can confirm: unhappy Subway customers do sometimes say "I should've gone to Jimmy John's" as they walk out. (Funnily enough I talked to a Jimmy John's employee, they say the same about Jersey Mike's.)

Two things:
1. GUARANTEED- the store was closed when he threw all that food on the floor. 😂 most restaurants toss all of the food that’s still left at the end of the night regardless, so all he did was make his closing process more difficult for himself.

The thing about doing something like this is that, in trying to go viral and getting as many people as possible to see your videos, you're just increasing the chance that a future employer will see it. I'd say it's unbelievable, but I've known people who did crazy shit like that if they hated their job...instead of just quitting or finding another job. One friend worked at a buffet-style restaurant as a dishwasher. He would deliberately sail small dishes and silverware down a sort of chute, into a large disposal which destroyed them. I worked there later, and discovered why he hated working there--the management didn't know what they were doing, made the employees hate them and a year or so after I left, they closed.

We just had a dude in Boston harass a group of young Asian women for wearing masks when people went up to talk to them. Now we have some 28 year old clout chaser in Providence trying to become a signed recording artist by wasting $100 of subway produce on the ground. They were right, there's something in the water.
There's a guy that stands outside my neighborhood Dollar General and tries to sell you his CD, t-shirt, frisbee, keychain, or can coolie, (all with his name garishly plastered all over them) while he attempts to freestyle about what you're wearing or what kind of purse you have. If you say "no thank you" he immediately switches to this panhandler bit where he asks you to "How bout' you look out for him with a spare dollar or two whenever you come out of the store". Every. single. time. 😑
