@@CastleContent would you be willing to help spread this idea? Alright boys and squirrels, I'm assuming that you can tell by the smell of crayons, that yes, I am a titan main. The Mask of the Quiet One is my absolute favorite Titan exotic, and love the way it looks. Not everybody gets it, and what it's worth, and I do feel like the exotic perk does keep it from being S tier. HOWEVER, I have thought long and hard on this one, and I think I've come up with a unique solution to promote aggressive game play, while really allowing this helmet to FEEL truly exotic, while remaining balanced. New Exotic Perk: While shields are active, taking damage grants ability energy and kills trigger health regeration. When critically wounded, damage is increased and regain maximum health on kills. Now, this change would essentially create 2 different play style elements. As long as your shields are up, taking damage grants you ability energy. Triggering health regen on kills can allow you to stay in this state for longer, allowing you to really be on the front lines, actively rewarding you for aggressive game play. The more aggressive you are, the more you get out of this, especially in pve. In PVP, I feel like this would remain very balanced, as there is currently lots of things that can trigger health regen (one eyed mask, skullfort, healing rift, etc) and still requires skill to operate, you gotta win your fights. It might give you a slight edge against multiple opponents, but is not a guaranteed insta win. On the other side, once your health drops to critical (red bar portion, shields Depleted) then dreaded visage would activate. Currently its not listed, but in its current state, when your health is critical, taking damage does not grant ability energy. So dreaded visage could remain the same, only adding increased damage. In pve, MotQO is great for sustainability when your health is low, of you can secure kills, you won't die. Adding a damage boost ties directly into the perk dreaded visage, be very aggressive, get a kill, don't die. The maximum health does not include shields or trigger regen, but it can keep you from dying. In PVP, this can again, give you an advantage to win your gun fights, but being at red bar is very, very risky. Therfore, I don't think it would be overpowered. (Unlike One Eyed Mask was at one point.) There are already damage boosts available (such as sunspot or empowering rift) so nothing game breaking there. I need to calculate how much the damage increase should be to remain balanced, to comment if you know, but I will update this post after I do some math. This change would simply give players a more risk/reward dichotomy to balance, being more exposed and aggressive to gain and chain more ability energy and kills, or balance on razer edge, close to death, dishing out way more damage looking for each next kill to stay alive. I think this can catapult MotQO to a top tier S exotic, able to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies, just by seeing the intimidating horns towering over, filling them with dread. If your a titan main, or you wish to support your favorite titan with more than just a box of crayons, please share and spread this message, and consider signing a petition, I will absolutely create one, again I will update this post.
Just a few comments on Khepri's Horn, since I used it quite extensively. On a flat surface, it propels a firewave out *that comes back* after around 8m. So you can do 2x100dmg, and if your target is at or close to max range, you will do those 2 ticks instantly. The issue is that if the outwards wave cannot fully extend, it doesn't come back. In addition, when used with bottom solar, it counts as an ability kill, creating a sunspot. If you tailor your build around it (100 resilience + dynamo + a fire primary for example) you can get a barricade up extremely fast, feeding your grenade / melee / super if you hit with the wave, and if manage to secure a sunspot it snowballs extremely fast. The major issue is that it requires a major playstyle shift to take advantage off, and with stasis in game, this playstyle took a huge hit. It's honestly a C Tier if you have no idea how to use it with the decent build, A Tier if you capitalize on it in 6v6.
Quick thing for Mk. 44 Stand asides, the description on it is wrong. It says it only works with shield bash, seismic strike, and hammer strike, but for some reason it also works with ballistic slam. Makes that slam a LOT safer to do, but still not that useful.
This video is incredibly informative. Ignoring the tier ranking it is a very solid overview of all Titan exotics and their functionality. The tiers are icing.
Another banger. I use Citan's mainly, but I main Pulses, so they allow me to counter snipers without equipping a sniper, so I can still ape when in medium-close range. My others I use are all the S-tiers.
Amazing content, as always. Utterly invaluable breakdown, as a Titan main. Heart of Inmost Light has always been my go to simply for the amazing ability regen, but only just starting to appreciate the OHKO potential of grenades in PVP. Are you planning on doing a video on this? Can’t seem to find any consistent information regarding potential grenade types versus resilience values for OHKO windows. Fusion grenades seem very reliable at this when empowered is active, but magnetic grenades much less so.
The normal punches with skullfort don’t actually refund your melee energy but while on the juggernaut skill tree, activating knockout makes your melee do arc damage which counts for the perk. Also helm of saint blindness is a short range burst immediately when blocking, enemy has to be really close in order to get hit by it. The effect doesn’t linger, you need to re-block again while they’re close.
I love these vids! Great job! Sometimes I realize I’m using it the exotic wrong! I know a lot of work went into this and I really appreciate cheers 🍻 bro
If I remember correctly insurmountable skull fort can be another swappable exotic. Since it grants health I’m pretty sure it heals you after each kill in your striker super, it might work well in 6v6.
Very informative - and a bit old at the moment compared to recent exotic balance changes - but I 100% disagree with Hallowfire Heart going to C. Even you have said repeatedly that D2 is often an ability spamfest and here, you are illustrating exactly why it should be placed higher.
Just wanted to note that kephris horn flame wave should return to the barricade dealing a total of 200 damage to anyone caught in it, and if you can sweet spot the barricade and hit them at the end of the flame wave, they'll instantly take the 200 damage, this counts as an ability kill for middle and bottom tree hammers giving you sunspots and roaring flames. For ursas, guarding with top and/or bottom tree also gives you super energy back, and in some cases in the past has even led to more super energy being generated than middle tree. For peacekeepers I personally feel like people tend to forget that getting all of those buff even on only one weapon is already massive, I pair my smg with a sniper and use the extra movement speed and fov with the smg out to move around and then swap to the sniper quickly because the smg also gets faster stow speed. MK 44 standaside inexplicably work with ballistic slam on middle tree arc.
@@CastleContent very welcome. Your descriptions on the pro/cons on how to use them are what made it. Would be great to see the other classes done with the same depth. Keep it up!
Just a small headsup: Synthos only needs 2 Guardians to proc off in PvP. Edit: It's worth noticing it'll also buff Super damage (around ~60%). I do like to use it with Stasis and the Enhanced Slide. Feels like I'm playing with Dune/Bottom Striker (Increased Melee passive when breaking shields) but with the rest of the Stasis Kit.
They work great on ballistic slam in Code of Missile when 2 or more enemies are near. Also, they help increase super damage in Code of Devastator when you have roaring flames x 3
Has it always only needed 2? I use to main bubble titan with synthos and I always thought you needed 3, which is why I never used them with missile. Dunes basically did the same job but better.
Regarding dunemarchers, probably the best thing for me is the fact that the chain lighting will persist on a dead player. Can’t tell you how many time a guy thought he was safe to push and his friends corpse lights him up
My hunter clan mate always gushes over Phoenix cradles. Mainly because that sun warrior buff also effects their supers, extending them. But the moments they actually can get this combo off is so rare it’s not even worth the effort.
Love this video! Thank you Castle. I know you’re a titan main, but could you create one of these for Hunter/warlock or recommend someone that might have done that?
I’m definitely going to start playing on the others now that I got this beast done. In the meantime though Patty did one for hunter a long time ago and Apa did one for warlock.
I've mained HoIL since Beyond Light, but the Dead Man's Tale catalyst with Lion Rampants is actually really good. Not just a meme like a lot of other AC-130 builds (Jotunn, Sweet Business, Skyburner's, etc.), but they're actually good with the DMT catalyst. 100% in-air hip-fire accuracy.
Coolguy mentioned this on firing line I believe, but Cuirass should be higher for stasis because the base damage shield shows up regardless of super. So, Behemoths can get beefier...
Umm excuse you Castle. Cuirass of the Falling Star “technically” (probably a bug) does work on Stasis. Idk about the extra damage but it gives you a short overshield after getting out of the behemoth super, and I saw CoolGuy use it in Trials of Osiris. Great tierlist overall! Severance is higher than I expected and Doom Fang Pauldrons are lower than I expected.
Hey Castle, I noticed that the top three S tier titan exotics are the ones that I enjoy the most on behemoth. Would you be able to make some builds, particularly for heart of inmost on stasis (my favorite). You have probably made a video about this already, but there are new fragments like (forgot the name) which gives you grenade energy after taking damage, and after some testing it definitely works in crucible. Also, whisper of chains (resistance around friendly crystals) could be viable in crucible as a way to tank shotgun rushers/create destroyable cover with the glacier grenade. The new aspect (howl of the something) creates crystals as well, and is only really useful in tight spaces like buildings as there are many stompees hunters that never stay on the ground. I’m curious to see what you come up with. I have been experimenting a bit, and I think maybe whisper of chains and a fusion with max discipline armor + HOIL could be interesting. Or maybe you could somehow spec into getting the behemoth melee back instantly, which has HUGE crucible potential. Also do you have any insight as to how bungie might nerf behemoth, and how to “future proof” the build? Idk just some ideas, love your vids. Keep it up man!
For wormgods caress, you forgot to mention bottom tree striker. Knockout allows you to one hit at one stack. And MK. 44's work with ballistic slam as well!
@@CastleContent Great vid nonetheless. I love how every single one of your video is highly informative but you find a way to make them interesting. Good shit man, good shit.
I get that I’m a bit late to the party, but I wanna go on a rant for a bit concerning *Icefall Mantle* These things have quickly become my favourite Titan exotics ever since I laid my hands on them, because of how much you can fuck your opponents with them. I think the reason why people dislike this exotic, is mostly because they don’t know how to use it most effectively. What the trick is to using this exotic, is that your overshield almost acts like a healthbar completely separate to your own, meaning that if you take damage to your overshield, your health regeneration is not interrupted, unlike something such as Defensive Strike or One-Eyed Mask. This means that if someone takes away your shield (which is 130 hp at 10 res), and you’re left only with your normal healthbar (which is 70 hp at any res), you get behind cover, pop your shield when you hear your healthbar regenerating again. Should your opponent break it immediately, they’ll have to chew through 170 hp still, making it not much different for them than whenever you’re at full health, though if they let you recharge, they’ve had to do 130 for the initial break, 100 for the second, 130 again for the third break, then 70 damage to actually kill you, making the damage they need to bring you down at that moment 430. People imagine they have to be a massive tank, roaming around the map killing people because you’re unable to be brought down, while in fact, you’re using it mostly to win engagements you’re losing. Not only that, but you can survive aggressive frame and slug shotgun full damage shots and live, making people who wait around corners throw their mouse across the screen when a simple hunter jump doesn’t cut it anymore to bring someone down with their Felwinters. You can survive 90 rpm sniper double bodies, you can survive a 120 rpm handcannon three tap. The mobility doesn’t matter when the shield is meant to be broken. Hell, you can even just stand in front of your teammate to act as the barricade you’re replacing. I did it yesterday in trials, only I’m a barricade with much more aimassist, one that shoots back and with a teammate behind me that can shoot you as well. Even if your shield doesn’t break, using Shiver Strike from Behemoth renders the movement irrelevant when you zoom back into action anyway. The only real downside I can see, is that you won’t be able to cyberbully people in Control by floating ten miles above them and melting them down with a True Prophecy. If you enjoy using things like Tommy’s Matchbook, Last Word and Dead Man’s Tale as well, even better, because you keep just as much mobility as the person crouch spamming in front of you while they’re aimed down sights, only you have 1.5x their health. Easy A tier.
I am glad the gave code of the missile some love since it doesn't see much play in PvE. I wonder when Sentinel might get a new exotic that might change it or buff it
A note on the phoenix cradle exotic and sunspot titan in general. You can actually get a sunspot by killing yourself! Did that one time in PvP and got like 2 kills.
My favorite PvP exotics for each class are: Warlock: Ophidian Aspect. Since I don't have Mantle of Battle Harmony, and I don't really care for the increased sprint speed on Warlock from Transversives, can't go wrong with the free mini Quickdraw and Loader for all weapons, especially in this shotgun meta. Also helps pull off Eriana + Steady Hand combo. Hunter: Lucky Pants. I don't have Mask of Bakris, and I like Eriana's + Steady Hand too much. But most of the time I just roll Stompies. Titan: ASHEN. WAKE. Pop someone with a 120 rpm in the body, and then grenade them for a kill. Once you get 3 kills with the middle tree Sunbreaker, you can instantly kill anyone with instant explosion fusion nades that come back after every kill, so as long as you're killing a person every 30 seconds you're getting it back. Absolutely CLAPS in 6v6. But obviously not too useful in Trials. Also forces you to use Burning Maul which is a bit of a downside.
In my honest opinion Mask of Quiet One should be buffed to also begin shield regeneration when you get a kill while critically wounded on top of the health restore. Would it be OP? Maybe or maybe not. Would it be any different than having 10 recovery?
I love Antaeus wards. My entire triple 100 build is around them in strength, recovery, and intellect. That being said they make me play way dumber sometimes. If I hear the enemy team pop a golden gun, I will instinctively throw the match just to try and reflect. It’s really a problem. But they’re so much fun I can’t part with them.
For helm of saint 14 the melee mode will only blind if you activate your block while the enemy is right next to you, blocking and then walking into them won’t blind
Sentinel shield blinding with Helm of Saint 14 at least works in PVE - enemies do the same flinching animation as when hit by a blinding grenade launcher if you walk into them while blocking.
You know that Khepri's Horn deals 200 damage if placed correctly? The burst goes out and comes back and the range is a good one so you can make it work very easily
Titans are in such a great spot right now I love it. Almost everything they have is good but very little could be considered “overpowered” (aside from stasis and maybe falling star, but the latter ain’t hurting anyone, is it?).
You got khepri's wrong. It does 100 damage out, then 100 back, as in it can kill at any resilience. The kill itself will boost the barricade cooldown, and with bottom tree sunbreaker, give you a sunspot. Hallowfire Heart is wrong as well, when you used your ability, you were getting the sun warrior buff, increasing your recharge.
About the wormgods not 1 hitting on the second stack if you run middle tree striker it has a passive melee buff that if you get it with a melee kill that combines with wormgods gives you 7m range one shot punches
This list was a tad bit subjective in some instances but overall great rankings. So glad Heart of Inmost Light got S tier its so criminally underrated in PVP.

Great post Asdrael. This is a perfect example of my ground rules and how very specific play can always highlight a certain exotic.
This is easily one of the best videos I’ve watched in a while keep it up man !
Thanks EnZ!
By far the best titan pvp tip video out there! Keep it up man
Quick thing for Mk. 44 Stand asides, the description on it is wrong. It says it only works with shield bash, seismic strike, and hammer strike, but for some reason it also works with ballistic slam. Makes that slam a LOT safer to do, but still not that useful.
good video
this was really helpful for titan mains
This video is incredibly informative. Ignoring the tier ranking it is a very solid overview of all Titan exotics and their functionality. The tiers are icing.
Massive amount of respect for playing so many games with all these pieces! Great video
Another banger. I use Citan's mainly, but I main Pulses, so they allow me to counter snipers without equipping a sniper, so I can still ape when in medium-close range. My others I use are all the S-tiers.
Just joined the discord. Great community, thanks for bringing people together
Thank you Castle, I was coincidentally just thinking about the best exotics! :)
No problem!
Yeah I’ve been digging using lightning nades with HOIL in trials recently
The blinding effect from Saint-14 on blocking with the shield is a burst effect, which you can see going out in a short range after you start blocking
We need an updated version of these series for lightfall. Or did u already dropped those vids. Anyways good work 👍🏽👍🏽
Really helpful video, we need more of these
you were lied to
The normal punches with skullfort don’t actually refund your melee energy but while on the juggernaut skill tree, activating knockout makes your melee do arc damage which counts for the perk.
Also helm of saint blindness is a short range burst immediately when blocking, enemy has to be really close in order to get hit by it. The effect doesn’t linger, you need to re-block again while they’re close.
200IQ
I am so glad someone is giving Severance Enclosure some love - such a useful exotic!
Man you put out some of the most detailed stuff. I love it. Keep it up
Thanks Iceman!
Thanks for doing this!
You clearly put in a lot of time and effort
No problem! Enjoyed doing it 👍
I love these vids! Great job! Sometimes I realize I’m using it the exotic wrong! I know a lot of work went into this and I really appreciate cheers 🍻 bro
Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed / found it helpful.
great video as usual, thanks for being so thorough
I've been looking around for a ranking list that had the Cuirass just to see if it was worth getting. Thanks for the vid mate
If I remember correctly insurmountable skull fort can be another swappable exotic. Since it grants health I’m pretty sure it heals you after each kill in your striker super, it might work well in 6v6.
26:19 I don't think they would include smgs because smgs already have their own titan exotic, the Peacekeepers.
Great VT really useful advise and helps with which exotics to fully masterwork 👍
Very informative - and a bit old at the moment compared to recent exotic balance changes - but I 100% disagree with Hallowfire Heart going to C. Even you have said repeatedly that D2 is often an ability spamfest and here, you are illustrating exactly why it should be placed higher.
The blinding on saints helm is that void pulse around the Titan when they block, you were never in it’s range. That’s why you were not getting blinded
I swear, When I was a new player I always thought the citans baracade was some kind of exclusive look for stasis baracades
What an amazing video! Heard abt you from patty and had to check you out, keep it up dude your sick!
Thanks Walker that means a lot!
Phenomenal video, best of its kind that I've seen. Keep them coming.
Thank you J, I appreciate that man
@@CastleContent very welcome. Your descriptions on the pro/cons on how to use them are what made it. Would be great to see the other classes done with the same depth. Keep it up!
Ayeeeeee just found your channel. Good info, good editing
Thx!
Do you think its worth using with stasis? Id normally main synthoceps with top tree bubble class lol and I absolutely loved it.
Regarding dunemarchers, probably the best thing for me is the fact that the chain lighting will persist on a dead player. Can’t tell you how many time a guy thought he was safe to push and his friends corpse lights him up
Mate really great video, informative and to the point, earned a sub, looking forward too a Warlock and Hunter tier list if they are coming.
Thanks! Hunter some day. Warlock maaaaybe some day haha!
AYYYYYYY Keep at it my guy!
PS ----- Look at that Hawkmoon!
👀
Oh I fully agree
Coolguy mentioned this on firing line I believe, but Cuirass should be higher for stasis because the base damage shield shows up regardless of super. So, Behemoths can get beefier...
Umm excuse you Castle. Cuirass of the Falling Star “technically” (probably a bug) does work on Stasis. Idk about the extra damage but it gives you a short overshield after getting out of the behemoth super, and I saw CoolGuy use it in Trials of Osiris.
Great tierlist overall! Severance is higher than I expected and Doom Fang Pauldrons are lower than I expected.
I’ll update my pinned comment thank you!
Very high quality for such a new channel. Subbed ♥️
Thanks!
Peacekeepers + Shayura’s Wrath feels almost broken. Loving it.
yupppp haha
Thx for the ideas! I’ll add it to my list but lots on the go so I don’t wanna make a promise I may not keep. Thx again dude.
This video is so valuable, and just because of who it was made by
😳
For wormgods caress, you forgot to mention bottom tree striker. Knockout allows you to one hit at one stack. And MK. 44's work with ballistic slam as well!
Ya I struggled with how much to mention in each exotic with all the builds. My b!
@@CastleContent Great vid nonetheless. I love how every single one of your video is highly informative but you find a way to make them interesting. Good shit man, good shit.
I get that I’m a bit late to the party, but I wanna go on a rant for a bit concerning
*Icefall Mantle*
These things have quickly become my favourite Titan exotics ever since I laid my hands on them, because of how much you can fuck your opponents with them.
I wonder when Sentinel might get a new exotic that might change it or buff it
I actually needed this. Its a sign that Castle is divine, yesssirrr!
wow, great content - exactly what i needed
Glad you found it helpful!
A note on the phoenix cradle exotic and sunspot titan in general. You can actually get a sunspot by killing yourself! Did that one time in PvP and got like 2 kills.
My favorite PvP exotics for each class are:
Warlock: Ophidian Aspect.
Tell me you’ve seen my Ashen vid!!!
Synthocepts on stasis allow you to consistently double melee before they fly away with shiver strike. Ursa also works on all sentinel supers.
You can double melee before they fly without syntho
@@hentaikai312 it’s far more consistent with synthocepts.
For doom fang pauldron you forgot that bottom tree shield throws gives you super energy back extending your super for longer
Yes touché
The way you blind enemies with Saint 14 and banner shield is to activate block right next to an enemy
And right here we have an S tier destiny content creator.
Nice vid as always bro
Thx Spin
In my honest opinion Mask of Quiet One should be buffed to also begin shield regeneration when you get a kill while critically wounded on top of the health restore.
Would it be OP? Maybe or maybe not. Would it be any different than having 10 recovery?
I would LOVE that
Great, informative, and well delivered. Liked and subbed
Thanks Austin!
Castle Content you bet man
I love Antaeus wards.
😂 I feel this
FYI Khepri's Horn solar wave after going out to the full length comes back and can hit twice totaling 200 damage.
Love the vid and agree with basically everything. Just one thing, it's a magazine not a clip.
Great review
Loving the content
You know that Khepri's Horn deals 200 damage if placed correctly? The burst goes out and comes back and the range is a good one so you can make it work very easily
Pinned comment
Activating a block during sentinel will trigger an aoe blind, and then doesn’t continuously blind.
Yep, it’s when you start blocking
I haven't taken my ac feedback fence off since year 1 d1
me too bro. Do you use hammer strike + feedback fence? lol
Titans are in such a great spot right now I love it. Almost everything they have is good but very little could be considered “overpowered” (aside from stasis and maybe falling star, but the latter ain’t hurting anyone, is it?).
Ya behemoth super should be toned down haha
You got khepri's wrong. It does 100 damage out, then 100 back, as in it can kill at any resilience.
The kill itself will boost the barricade cooldown, and with bottom tree sunbreaker, give you a sunspot.
Hallowfire Heart is wrong as well, when you used your ability, you were getting the sun warrior buff, increasing your recharge.
Congrats on the 15k Castle, well deserved.
Thanks! Excited to do a giveaway.
About the wormgods not 1 hitting on the second stack if you run middle tree striker it has a passive melee buff that if you get it with a melee kill that combines with wormgods gives you 7m range one shot punches
Great video!
Thx!
This list was a tad bit subjective in some instances but overall great rankings. So glad Heart of Inmost Light got S tier its so criminally underrated in PVP.
For sure, any ranking will always have subjectiveness built in, but ya man Heart is just so good!
@@CastleContent Ayy! Great work on the vid though this was outstanding content! You highlighted alot of key aspects that most people wouldn't even think about for some exotics definitely subbing!
Thank you sir!
I'm new to Destiny, only started my titan character four days ago. I already have a max level Warlock, Hunter. I got the heart of inmost light yesterday from a strike playlist, well chuffed with the exotic, it's so good. Thinking about becoming a titan main now. 😂😂
@Castle Content What do you think about the icefall mantles now after the buff to its ability to cancel the shield and also the cooldown of the shield is the same as a normal barricade?
