    Did you buy a house based on the perfect skate location from your door? Good lord those are some perfectly wide roads. Good stuff!

    Perfect ride home with just a one push start🙌 Your pumping looks very smooth and what is that for an epic spot right in your neighborhood 💪just awesome!

    I had a deck with a 20-inch wheel base. With the waterborne it worked out to a 22in wheel base axle. For not necessarily intentionally long ldp type surf skating, but for covering a little ground effortlessly that particular wheelbase works real good.

    That wheelbase works perfect for going a long long way. Here in Florida is flat everywhere of course just like that. Except the only time I have to deal with the sidewalk cracks is when I'm forced up on the sidewalk off the bike path usually it's straight asphalt of various grades. That wheelbase though allows me to pump continuously for I mean like a mile-and-a-half to 2 miles, without pushing. Every now and then I got to push if the winds against me or pavement really rough but usually it's in my best interest to just pump the board instead of pushing. I'm checking that manufacturer out right now.

    Seems like the snake board and dragon boards capture the essence of LDP boards with freeskates beyond the top of the mountain.

    Dope vid brother 🤙…. Love the long board cruising with Surfskates. I’m having so much fun going from small snappy ones to longer . I’m going to check out those decks !! Enjoy the day !
    Also just bought a swell tech deck 40” going to put YOW Meraki on it and a CARVER C2 rear. . Should be interesting 🤙….. love

    Have you tried this deck with slide trucks? Would be interesting if it’s good for long distance too!

    whats this like on a 'regular' length surfskate board for you? more tiring and more pumping? or is it not too much of a difference?

    • @SurfskateLove
      @SurfskateLove  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      More pumping and more tiresome on a regular deck. The flex on this deck propels you forward. Very big difference.

    You can't skate LDP "style" with a CX truck the "gearing" is too low to cover long distances which is the "LD" in "LDP". The CX cruises fine at lower speeds. Looks like a fun setup for playing around on that campus though.

    • @theaustralianhulk
      @theaustralianhulk ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can skate any style on any setup with the right technique and determination. It’s tiring hearing again and again how you need this or that for a specific style. Just because you tried it and wasn’t able to accomplish it, doesn’t mean it applies to everyone. He just posted a video proving you wrong lol. In his opinion, it’s obviously possible.

    • @SurfskateLove
      @SurfskateLove  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      All I mean by that is that I'm using a long deck with a wide wheelbase to pump cruise for long distance, as opposed to staying in one small spot doing carving manuevers. I also have a formal LDP set-up so I'm familiar with the difference.

    • @LeatherHubPatterns
      @LeatherHubPatterns ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience, a longer board is harder to pump from a standstill but can go faster so you can definitely long distance pump with say a Tyler or an Anemone ( S5 ). The back truck is a C2 anyway which is not so different from a Paris v2.

      I have CX and I easily skate over 10 kms (6 miles). Like others have said... any setup can be pumped and carved long distance... it's all about technique and efficient use of body mechanics... although joint and cardiovascular health is predominantly the limiting factor!

    This video is 5 minutes long. I wonder if I could do 13 miles of Hollywood on a waterborne adapter.
