DSH-Coalinga 071720: An emergency conference call at Coalinga State Hospital, was moderated by a patient named Sam, who surveys several other patients on other units that describe horrendous conditions at this facility where 3 patients tested positive for COVID-19 this week. Shocking conditions are described which are taking place under the leadership of the Executive Director, on units, consisting of 50 patients such as: Staff never, or seldom doing the required cleaning every 2 hours as required and falsifying there logbooks claiming that they did so; staff not wearing masks as required or wearing them below their chins, or not wearing them at all while passing out food and medication, or around each other or other patients; using their computers as entertainment devices to shop, look at women in bikinis, or watch movies, while neglecting patient care; failing to repair patients telephones so they can speak to their families; not having chairs or tables for patients to sit at; forcing large numbers of patients into a common area to watch television; denying patients access to psychological and emotional support while they are social distancing during the COVID-19 lockdown (essentially abandoning them) ; and tormenting its first COVID-19 positive patients on its new quarantine unit.
(Update as of the posting of this video Senior Police Investigators, legislative staff, attorneys, the Office of Law Enforcement Support, and many many others had ignored weeks and months of phone calls and emails from the Director of dshabuse.org and this TH-cam Channel about these conditions at Coalinga State Hospital, and similar conditions at Atascadero State Hospital, and Patton State Hospital, which have been almost completely ignored. May God help anyone who continues to ignore the voices of these suffering human beings from this point forward. Don’t say that you never knew what was going on inside DSH. )
