      Der Rahmen sieht nur stabil aus, ist er leider nicht, gibt viele Mopeds die Rahmenbruch haben.
      Auch die Lichtmaschine ist an dem Moped eine Katastrophe.
      Ich habe auch mal so eine gehabt, habe sie dann verkauft und eine Blade gekauft.

    The "widowmaker"... one of the best and craziest liter bikes ever made. Hey... I love the stock wheels on my 2005. The first generation R1 was never referred to as a widowmaker in any official motorcycle publication. The first generation ZX-10R is still the lightest liter sport bike ever manufactured to this day. The horsepower difference is around twenty or so between the new and first generations.

    • @akidnamedsage
      @akidnamedsage  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      haha i was just joking about the stock wheels, I don't know why I referred to them as pieces of shit lmao. Although there is no publications of the 1st gen r1 being referred to as the widowmaker, I’ve seen may people say that about them on forums and Facebook groups so I figured I’d throw that in there

    @captainkirk3757 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Definitely gotta be careful with coming down on wheelies or just don't, these frames were prone to cracking right along the welds on the bottom side of the frame. I've owned 2 and still have one and absolutely love it. You got a seriously nice clean example there. awesome video!

    • @akidnamedsage
      @akidnamedsage  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks man! Yeah, this isn't my 1st gen 1 so I’m definitely aware of that issue. I try not to wheelie the bike that much because it’s such a nice example with some rare parts on it and I would hate for something to happen. I let all of my wheelies down really gracefully and NEVER slam them down. It becomes a really big problem for people that chase high speed wheelies and let them down hard, especially if you have blown fork seals, you’re asking for the frame to crack

    • @XtremeLifeDarius

    I had this exact bike same year color everything and I was 21 in the army and it was my first bike. And I realized what I bit off very soon after buying it. I kept it and ride it back and forth to work and never had an issue but I did know I could die quickly. It was comfy looked cool. I ended up buying a 636 a month after and rode it around for a while and parked the 10 until I was more experienced and then I enjoyed the liter bike a lot more. Still own both 13 years later

    04 was a such a great year for litrebikes. I was torn between the the 10 and R1 in 04. Both amazing, but eventually went with the R1 for ergos and the 10s were having random issues of the steering stem breaking off the spars. Mid range beasts. I still remember top gear roll ons with my buddy on his 10, that thing would straight walk away from my R1.

      Yes, these bikes were prone to having frame cracks. This is mainly due to the way the engine mounts were designed. Chasing high speed power wheelies and slamming the front end down over time can result in stress cracks on the frame. I always throttle out of my wheelies so I never slam the bike down

It’s also the last gen to be completely raw and analog. The gauge cluster is one of the best on any bike period. Bike is just as tough too I’ve seen some up to 60k and mine has 35k doesn’t even need the valves adjusted they were still fine! 😮I was 21 yrs old when that bike first hit the street. I had an 02 gsxr1000 that I later traded for CBR600RR because I knew I was gonna die on it. I was smoking cop cars for fun and all kinds of stupid shit. I havnt ridden any modern liter bikes but Jesus I just can't imagine any more power?? That's why they have Trac control and all the electronic goodies because it's just not usable on the road. Maybe a drag strip I can't even imagine it on the track. Very tasteful mods to this zx10r here. I've ridden busas that don't even put out the HP of these modern 1000's . And I've been riding for 30yrs now if u count the dirt.
