Hands down ZX6R for me. You can’t beat the 4 cylinder sound, feel and revs. The R9 looks cool, but I’m addicted to the inline 4. I wish Kawasaki would go nuts with a RR version of the zx6r. Give it titanium pistons, rods and valves and make it even lighter.
Not with these dumb EURO emissions crap. Would be sick, but the market and economy says otherwise. Maybe in the future, but right now, that is nowhere near a pen and paper at Kawasaki.

No, they're both race bikes made for the street, one has been better adapted for the street thougb. R9 may be based on the cp4 platform. However it has an all new bespoke chassis, I would not say it's a street bike into race bike adjustment.

Its actually the opposite for the ZX6R.. The new 2024+ models are similar to the R9 whereby you don't have to crank them all the way up the RPM range to get the most power. Most of the power is available below 12K which makes it usable for the street... these AI generated videos are cool to watch but not well researched.

@@nsant what determines that? I know engine displacement isn't the main factor generally but it's the main factor when it comes to classifying a motorcycle
@@000Trauma Cylinders and displacement combined. It's also how the engines are designed. Look at the ninja 650 vs the zx6r. The 650 will lose to the zx6r in an almost Corvette vs Camry comparison even though the 650 has more ccs. Same with the R6 vs The R7. The R7 is slow compared to the R6. Same with the gsxr 600 vs the gsx8r.

He even says it in the vid, r9 is 50/50 on daily and track riding while the zx6r is favouring track days. A liter bike is even more focused on track days than dailying

The R9, zx6r, Ducati Panigale V2, gsxr600/750, MV Agusta F3RR, cbr600, etc are all in the same middleweight class. Why compare the R9 to anything outside of that class? It's pointless.
I never bought a bike for practical road use. That's why I have a truck. I've never ridden a Yamaha triple but if I was in this market I'd go for the R9. They could have done a better job though. Definitely squeezed out some more HP+TQ instead of ever so slightly adding a tooth on the sprocket. I'd still take the way overdue GSXR750 any day without thinking twice.
@@nsantquarter mile and top speed are two very different things. The R9 will absolutely destroy an R6 in 1/4 mile, just like the MT09 will. The R6 will probably eventually catch up and pass it for top speed though because it's has more power up top where the R9 will start to die out.
