You are my savior! i was just about done trying to get the leotard right for Sailor Saturn. particularly the curve that goes under the bust. i couldn't figure out why when i sewed it, it didn't look right. now i know its supposed to be a separate piece!
I've been watching your videos and just realized the high-pitch noises came from a bird! Thank you for the tutorial. I don't think I'll make a sailor costume, but it's fun watching how you make them while I craft my own :)
I'm so glad that you decided to make tutorials! I've been planing to make a sailor mars cosplay for sometime now and your videos are amazing! Thank you!!!!
Am doing Sailor Uranus for a con in June and July and you just save my life with your videos! Thank u so much for being very thorough with you cosplay tutorials! Your wonderful cx also ur harley quinn and Hawkgirl cosplays are beautiful btw! X3
This is BY FAR the easiest tutorial for me to follow that I have found. I love that you don't need to be an expert at sewing to get it as you explain EVERYTHING super clearly. I will be refering HEAVILY to this when I make mine! Thank you SOOOOO much for posting this!
One question though. Is there anywhere that says like, length of how much fabric you need? or like how long to make the patterns? Because printing them out is obv not gonna be the right size. Do we have to measure ourselves and figure it out? Because I'm new to sewing and I'm not real great with figuring this stuff out yet.
Thank you so very much for making this tutorial! The costumes can get expensive and may not fit, plus making it is more fun. I'm about to go to my first comicon and am thinking about doing Sailor Saturn - Thanks so much! Amazing job!
wowie this was super helpful! im a beginner at sewing and your instructions were very clear and now im excited to do this and im not as intimidated as i was before thank you so much!!
Great video. I was thinking about doing a scout uniform for a convention, and this definitely has me eager to clean up my Singer and get this project underway. Thanks :)
randomly came across your vid since a group I'm going to Otakon with wants sailor scout costumes (and we're noobs and have no idea how to sew) and I must say, I LOVE THE MUSIC! SNSD IS THE BEST!!!!!
Yay I can use this for my Sailor Mercury cosplay. I need the chest armor and I used a crappy pattern 😭 now I need to get more fabric cause I messed it up.
Thanks so much for the tutorial! I am going to my first anime convention this year and I wanted to cosplay as one of the girls from the anime that started my love for anime and Japanese culture. This was incredibly helpful! Thanks again!
Many thx for your awesome upload ! i made my Jupiter from your discription and ohter from our sailor Group to. and thx for your good an pedagogic instrutions.
Don't worry about the collar. It's not that bad. I love it. I see that you're doing my favorite character from Sailor Moon. Sailor Jupiter is my favorite character in this show. She's beautiful.
My shirt was too small for my Kagamine Len cosplay that i bought so I'm making my own this was soo helpful the collar was confusing me this looks much better then how the costume I bought looked It doesn't go up to my size
This is super helpful! I'm going to do Sailor Jupiter as well, the older one (don't know what to call it either hahaha) and not only this helps a lot (I'm not very good at making patterns and such), it will also save me some time :) Thank you!
Hi! Thanks so much for your tutorial :) It really helped me. I just attached my collar, and the back of the collar kind of puffs up (I'm guessing from excess material) Do you have any idea on how I could fix this? It's like this because I had to make some of the patterns bigger because I'm a bit bigger so I thought I'd need more room xD
Hey! I really love this cosplay and I would love to use it to make the sailor venus one but I never sewed before and buying it online makes me feel scared ( I ordered an elsa one and was very disapointed) so I was wondering if it was that complicateed to make. I have a new machine so it might be easier :p Thanks :)
Hi i love your tutorials and am currently using it to make my own sailor scout cosplay! I was looking through the patterns, but just realized the wasn't one for the skirt :(. i was just wondering how you did that part? Thank you soo much!
You're so cute! & I love your tutorials. I want to get started on making a Sailor Mars cosplay, but I'd be a beginner at sewing. ): I want to learn asap though! This really motivated me to get a good Sailor Mars cosplay done before next halloween or convention :)
"7/8 years old, OLD" Haha I used my mom's old machine for some projects when I was younger, THAT machine is from the 70's, making it ~40 years old xD But yes, old machines can be difficult to work with x3
I love your video thanks for posting! I'll be working on a Sailor Jupiter cosplay later this year :) Also your machine is not that old, I sew on a Singer 401A from 1957 ;D I have a brand new Singer that's a piece of plastic garbage! I bought my 401A at Goodwill for $35 and it can sew through 6 pieces of thinner leather and 4 pieces of thick leather. My new machine can barely go through one piece of leather. Seriously keep an eye out for older machines at Goodwill (or any other thrift store type thing) because they're built so well compared to newer machines! Anything Singer that says "Made In America" is pretty much a good buy. :p
Only one thing to say. I always find sewing two lines of stitches very close to each other makes gathering easier. If one breaks you still have a backup :D
Hi Kellax, I love your sailor Jupiter costume. It look so show accurate. If you can, you should open up an online cosplay shop specialising in Sailor Moon costumes. I would definitely buy from you, because I am a big fan of Sailor costumes in leotard style.
May I have the link to your website? I hope you can do a customize sailor mars costume for me, and hope you do international shipping to Singapore. Thank you very much.
I never wore this to a photoshoot so I have no good pics of it! TT_TT on my Facebook there might be a few hall shots scattered around but I really don't have much.
twilightangelspirit (don't know if you'll see this but) may I give you an idea for your chibi moon costume for the see through fabric. Make each piece an inch longer (2 inches for the last - go based off what you think looks right) then the one before it and sew them all together. This may work. They will lay on each other mostly but maybe hair spray will work to shape it?
Really awesome cosplay tutorial! Even more helpful since I really want to cosplay as Sailor Jupiter :D Thank you for making this! Would you consider making more and selling them :)
How did you go about sewing the hip roll to the main piece? Did you hand do it, or use a machine? Your cosplay came out looking AMAZING, btw. I just love how you made everything. c:
I'm doing a Sailor Venus cosplay and I plan on using your pattern. The version of Sailor Venus that I'm doing is from season 1 and 2 so I was wondering how I would do a pleated skirt for this. Mainly, how should I stitch it so that I can taper the skirt and get the V shape.
Hello, just out if curiousity. What normally size are you in cosplays? Medium ? Because i'm like almost the same size as you & i want to make sure what size for a cosplay fits me well asap o: please
thank you so much for this tutorial! I was hoping to cosplay Sailor Moon for an upcoming con, and now I can! I have a question though, and I'm sorry if you have already answered it, but how do i print the patterns to scale? thank you so much again!
measure your torso waist hips bust, ect... and print the patterns to the measurements you need. all my new patterns will have measurements on them....sorry i dont have time to go back and fix the old ones at the moment. but any new patterns will be easier to use :)
Love this! Been thinking how to make my Saturn costume. Question! How is the skirt able to go over your shoulders when it's not elastic? Or it doesn't look like it. Thank you for showing this.
What did you use to close the bottom of the body suit? I am also doing Sailor Jupiter and don't know what to use to keep the bottom closed when the costume is on. Thank you, :)
I'm about to make a Jupiter myself, but with a pre-bought leotard so i'm sure it fits, because i'm bad at patterns and matching, also because I don't have to think about modifying the pattern to my shape (no boobs for instance, and no so much hourglass-waist. How would you suggest I get into the dress after I add the skirt and the collar then? i'm guessing I should find a stretchy fabric for the skirt, then I could take it on over the head, if I fix some kind of thingy for the crotch, or maybe i'll just cut the crotchpart out and turn it into a dress, and add some bloomers or something under as a separate piece. ^^ Now to my question... will those hip rolls work in terms of size with your pattern, or do i have to measure them too? could i basically just print out the paper, ignore the leotardpattern (because prebought) and go with the same size as your patterns? or what modifications do you think i'd have to do? :)
+Solstickan Map beef the hip rolls might fit. But if your waist is smaller or larger than mine, you'll have to make adjustments to the length of the roll pattern
I have no idea if i'm smaller or larger than you, guessing smaller because i'm superduperthin. but since the hiprolls isn't horizontal, it's tilting like a V (more or less), how do i measure that? my regular horizontal measures are 77 for waist and 90 for hips atleast, if that's something to go on. ^^ (cm, not inches!) :)
+Solstickan Malmberg go ahead and use the pattern first. You can either make a test piece out of fabric it use use the paper. Hold it up over your hip where the roll should be. And youll know if you need to shorten or lengthen it
You are my savior! i was just about done trying to get the leotard right for Sailor Saturn. particularly the curve that goes under the bust. i couldn't figure out why when i sewed it, it didn't look right. now i know its supposed to be a separate piece!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm finishing my Sailor Neptune cosplay thanks to your tutorial :D
Love your work ♥

Thank you for the tutorial. I don't think I'll make a sailor costume, but it's fun watching how you make them while I craft my own :)

Thank you so much! Again, this is VERY helpful! I already have the fabric for the skirt and collar. ^^ Again thank you!
You're like unbelievably good at this *~*
I love the way you made the skirt!!! I'm taking your advice. I LOVE your channel by the way!!!
I know right😉 I personally thinking of doing a circle skirt instead of a pleated skirt 'cause it looked better
agreed, and I think is way easier and less steps to follow
TYSM! I can't sew or use a sewing machine so my grandma is helping me (thanks granny) but I am so excited for this years comic con!
I'd like to say thanks so much! Your videos helped me figure out a lot of things for my League of Legends cosplay. :D

WOW! You did an amazing job doing this!
Thanks for the tutorial. Also I love you sweatshirt I'm a big fan of G Dragon
This tutorial was amazing! I favorited it & subbed. & your bird is hilarious 😂😂 I was cracking up at the end.
Don't worry about the collar. It's not that bad. I love it. I see that you're doing my favorite character from Sailor Moon. Sailor Jupiter is my favorite character in this show. She's beautiful.
Wow, you're really good your costume looks great. And I must say I love your One of a Kind hoodie. Reminds me of G Dragon. ^_^
Best video ever! loved it! I hope when I have my sewing machine I can do all of that, Keep doing more of these videos!!
My shirt was too small for my Kagamine Len cosplay that i bought so I'm making my own this was soo helpful the collar was confusing me this looks much better then how the costume I bought looked It doesn't go up to my size
You're so talented! Everything looks soooo easy with you! X3

Your bird is so cute!

You are just too amazing!! Great job!

Haha I used my mom's old machine for some projects when I was younger, THAT machine is from the 70's, making it ~40 years old xD But yes, old machines can be difficult to work with x3
can you put velcro for the collar & skirt? im thinking of instead making/buying other sailor scouts you can change the collar and the skirts
I love your video thanks for posting! I'll be working on a Sailor Jupiter cosplay later this year :) Also your machine is not that old, I sew on a Singer 401A from 1957 ;D I have a brand new Singer that's a piece of plastic garbage! is there a pattern for the skirt template, because it isn't on your DA account
Only one thing to say. I always find sewing two lines of stitches very close to each other makes gathering easier. If one breaks you still have a backup :D
OOH LA LALA. WITH THE GIRLS WITH THE GIRLS GENERATIONNNNN *DANCE BREAK*
Referencing this!!!
Hi Kellax, I love your sailor Jupiter costume. It look so show accurate. If you can, you should open up an online cosplay shop specialising in Sailor Moon costumes. I would definitely buy from you, because I am a big fan of Sailor costumes in leotard style.

Love it! Where can we see photo's of the finished costume?
I never wore this to a photoshoot so I have no good pics of it! TT_TT on my Facebook there might be a few hall shots scattered around but I really don't have much.
Came for the tutorial. Stayed for the cute birb.

Really awesome cosplay tutorial! Even more helpful since I really want to cosplay as Sailor Jupiter :D
Thank you for making this! Would you consider making more and selling them :)
What did you use for stuffing the sleeve/hip rolls? I'm sure that by the time you answer this I'll have stuffed it with something else though :)
I just have one question and it's about the collar how are the measurements on that like lxw?
How did you go about sewing the hip roll to the main piece? Did you hand do it, or use a machine?
Your cosplay came out looking AMAZING, btw. I just love how you made everything. c:

there are other good tutorials on how to do that. but you would just cut it the exact same way i did.
Muchísimas gracias!! Saludos desde México!!!
would your recommend this fabric for a pink diamond cosplay?
Hello, just out if curiousity. What normally size are you in cosplays? Medium ? Because i'm like almost the same size as you & i want to make sure what size for a cosplay fits me well asap o: please
What sort of fabric did you use for the skirt and collar?
I. Love. Your. Bird! He's so cute and I was wondering what was making the noise at first? Then *bam* bird on your shoulder so cute! C:
thank you so much for this tutorial! I was hoping to cosplay Sailor Moon for an upcoming con, and now I can! I have a question though, and I'm sorry if you have already answered it, but how do i print the patterns to scale? thank you so much again!

Axceleration Cosplay okay! thank you so much! hopefully i'll be able to figure it out haha! thanks again! :)
Gorgeous!!!
Love this! Been thinking how to make my Saturn costume. Question! How is the skirt able to go over your shoulders when it's not elastic? Or it doesn't look like it.
Thank you for showing this.
Because of the extreme V shape of the skirt it had enough room to fit over me.
Cool! Thank you!
Love your bird btw. So cute! I have one too but he's yellow and his name is Nugget. =3
How do you download the patterns off of your DA account?
How would you suggest to adjust this to make an Eternal sailor scout ?
really wish i saw this before i bought my costume ;~;
Nice effort for the tutorial. 👍
How long would you say this takes to make? Thanks for the tutorial! It was great. ^_^
Cool channel I really enjoy watching your vids
For Attach the Sailor Scouts Bows safety pins than velcros
one your patterns what size paper should you print it out on?
thank you for this!
What did you use to close the bottom of the body suit? I am also doing Sailor Jupiter and don't know what to use to keep the bottom closed when the costume is on.
Thank you, :)
Snaps
Axceleration Cosplay Thank you! :)
yes this is so helpful
This was very helpful! Do you think it's cheaper to make your own or to buy the actual costume?
It's cheaper to buy, but the cheaper ones are very "Halloween costume" looking so they're so they aren't as good quality
I just have a question about printing out the pattern, how big should it be once its been printed?
I'm about to make a Jupiter myself, but with a pre-bought leotard so i'm sure it fits, because i'm bad at patterns and matching, also because I don't have to think about modifying the pattern to my shape (no boobs for instance, and no so much hourglass-waist.

Now to my question... will those hip rolls work in terms of size with your pattern, or do i have to measure them too? could i basically just print out the paper, ignore the leotardpattern (because prebought) and go with the same size as your patterns? or what modifications do you think i'd have to do? :)

Very true, should have thought about that! Thank you very much! :)
about how long did it take to make this costume? and how much did it cost you? (just an estimate)
Your amazing keep going i love it
the pattern link you have what How big should it be once its been printed?
When are you going to wear the full costume
You are so awesome! Thank you for this! :D
Three Stripes is only in Live-action and Crystal
So cool
I am attempting sailor Saturn and I noticed that her sleeves are different than all the other scouts. What you you suggest doing for her sleeves?
I would pattern it and line it with interfacing so it's stiff and pokes out like it's drawn.
