Hasbro has a bad rep for good reason. Worst was when they lied about plastic shortages to increase their prices to the obscenity we have today. And since it has continued with the obscenely overpriced while skimping on both engineering and paint...this just proves that they can make something quality, but even then they have to scam by pretending this is 'crowdfunded' (it's a limited preorder...they already sunk 99% of the costs before ever putting the preorder live) and use it to show that think they can charge 3p prices for a 1p product so they overcharge even more. But FOMO has stupid people overpaying for everything nowadays that only makes this shit worse across the board.
@@Dashierez While true, a lot of that comes out of investors and the corporate culture going on. Was at the Providence office a while back and during one of the meetings there were many demands for cheaper quality goods and supplemental materials. I can't blame the company for wanting to remain profitable, but you definitely can blame them for the shady practices.
This brings back memories of the original toys. Like the proton pack with the foam for the stream, and the trap that you stepped on a pump and it opened for a moment then closed. This is the adult version and I love it

Glad these are here and soon to be in my collection. When I was a kid I made the ghost trap out of old shoe boxes. Glad I have the close to real thing now! The trap was always the least made prop and glad it got some good attention now.
I love when stuff like this uses real, common hardware. Lore-wise it makes sense that someone built this from McMaster Carr and DigiKey parts in a small shop. Its not like a super custom, slick, finished peice.
You're absolutely correct. When the original props were made in 1983 from spare parts, they just stuck everything together so it looks like it was made in the firehouse.
