I'm working so hard with this, my niece want a chibi moon cosplay so bad I couldn't help but telling her that I will going to make one for her, thank you so much for all the videos
I know this is a Longshot but do you have a vid of how to make ghs hip roll? My friend and I are having a hard time making it and I haven't fpund any vids on the hip roll. Love your tutorials.
Thank you for sharing these videos and your techniques. They have been most helpful. I also can't wait to see the video on how to make the skirt pattern as well. :)
OMG! This video helps so much! I wanted very much to see the video of the pattern of the skirt, is the part that I find more difficult xD Thanks for all help!
I'm redoing my skirt for my sailor saturn cosplay, and I'm using this tutorial. I'm confused why you attach the skirt to the unitard with snaps though. Why don't you sew it directly on? The only thing i can think of is so you can use the unitard for all of the sailor scouts by making the skirt, collar, and bows interchangeable
I'll try to add a tutorial for it as soon as I get a new computer ^_^ I had recorded the footage for the hip roll and uploaded it to my old computer, but it's so old that the files are sort of permanently trapped in it, so I'm trying to figure out how to carefully extract them, and get them to a computer that will allow me to edit them into a video! Thanks for your understanding~
Because of each fabric’s individual properties, they sometimes drape differently, and you’ll want to let the bias fully relax for at least 24 hours once it is pleated so your hem doesn’t look wonky. This is common of many circle skirts (or any skirt really)! If the bias stretch causes it to stretch out, your hem might end up looking uneven, and the best way to ensure it is completely the way you want it is to construct it as much as you can (attaching it to a waistband, most of all) so that you can hang it from a dress form or your body and then trim any areas where it hangs lower. I had to do the same with my Cosmos cape for instance- I hemmed it too early and end up having to rehem it because the diagonal grain had stretched out after I hung it on my dress form for a day, making the hem wavy at the bottom😩
White could work since it would match the white hip roll and white suit, but also, any color “close enough” is good, for instance I think I used dark green for Neptune’s teal, and navy blue for Moon’s blue, and maybe even black for Uranus’s dark blue since the navy was brighter. As long as it’s near or even white to match the hip roll, shouldn’t matter too much! Ideally it won’t be seen at all, but in case it is, helps to be somewhere in the same color family as pieces it is adjacent to =)
I bought the skirt pattern and found it amazing. But where are the other tutorial videos? It is very bad to buy but not have others to complete the tutorial.
@@rosem3240 Yes I know. But what's the problem with record again and a friend editing for her or helping her in that case? There is not just one person asking for the videos, they are more.
Alexandra Almeida honestly last year was just a rough year for me all around- I moved TWICE so it was crazy busy! The final parts will be coming soon ^_^
Alexandra Almeida I cant wait to upload it! In fact I’m working today on testing out filming and editing on my phone until I can get a better computer. I’ll be back in full operation in 2020- thats the goal anyways! No more moving or working two full time jobs at once 😂
I will be adding one this month to my new TH-cam channel, @momokarinyo This channel and all videos on it will be going private by the end of 2021, so be sure to follow that one to see the new tutorials! ^_^
Dinah Lor hi! I’m working on a blog post for this currently. A video will come also, but it’s a bit complicated to explain so I thought writing it out would be helpful too! Both for me and everyone else 😅😂
Momo Kurumi omg! That would be so awesome! My brain doesn’t want to click when it comes to the hiproll, I see so many tutorials do it differently (like attaching it to the leotard or the skirt etc) so I would love it. I love your tutorials so much so I’ll definitely be on the lookout! ^^

SexxyShavedLlama I have full intention to, unfortunately my computer is on the decline and can’t handle editing videos right now :( I’m trying to save up for something newer and more powerful to handle all my video clips!
@@MomoKurumi ok thanks for responding! I feel like my comment seems a little rude but I didn't mean it to be. I was just wondering bc these really are the best sailor scout skirts I've ever seen and I really wanna try it out
SexxyShavedLlama trust me I really am sad I can’t get them up sooner! 😭 I even have the clips IN my computer already recorded, I just can’t do anything with them right now :C
I can do a separate video eventually, but in the meantime, I remove the stitch finger, the left needle, and the left-most thread. I set the stitch width to R and the length to just under 3. The differential feed is usually raised anywhere from 1.5 to 2.0. I set all tension to 3.5-4 to start, and tinker with the tension until I get it to a point that I'm happy! It might take some experimentation, but those are generally the settings I start with!
Most authentic sailor moon costume I've ever come across, thank you so much for spreading this video.

Your tutorials are awesome!! I hope you upload the other vids soon, I'm cosplaying Sailor Uranus in a month!!
Apologies for the delay! The old computer isn't able to edit video anymore, so I will have to save up for a new one before I can make more ^_^
Hi! I wanted to know if there is a part 1/4 and a part 4/4 since I can't find them anywhere? Thank you for the videos, they are super helpful!

Hello your tutorials are amazing and so helpful! But where is Part 4 of this skirt tutorial? Hip roll?
Cool! Can we get a hip roll tutorial please I'm stuck

How you make the hip roll
What advice can you give about the hip roll? Every tutorial i find had either too bulky or a tube like circle. You have the best one I've found!

Hello where can i find the pattern?
My friend loves Sailor Neptune and I Love Sailor Moon!
What fabrics you use?
I use a matte satin! =)
Do u make them and sell them :((( i would make it but I suck sm ugh
Yay the new video is up!!
Question!! Why wouldn't you hem the skirt before pleating it?

Is it necessary that the bias tape be the same color as the skirt? I can't find a similar purple at my fabric store. Is white okay?
White could work since it would match the white hip roll and white suit, but also, any color “close enough” is good, for instance I think I used dark green for Neptune’s teal, and navy blue for Moon’s blue, and maybe even black for Uranus’s dark blue since the navy was brighter.
