Piano cover of The Godfather theme, arranged and performed by DOMRAJ. Widely known as the "love theme from The Godfather", this beautifully sad theme caused Nino Rota to lose his nomination for the Best Original Score Academy Award in 1972 when it was discovered he had used the same theme previously in a movie called Fortunella in 1958.
In arranging this piece I was inspired by primarily by classical works of Grieg, Chopin, and Liszt into transforming the song section by section into a climactic, frenetically-angry ending. My hope is that this piece remains true to the sound and emotion of the original soundtrack, yet also elevates and extends it into a broad and comprehensive advanced piano solo.

I feel like every Pianist or violinist or whatever, they are just too much talented. How can people move there both hands & play those complex things? How do their brain works! It amazes me always 🙂🙂
Cz I don’t have any musical instrument.
really impressive
Omg you are really good🎉
Very very nice
Thank you!
what piano are you using, does your piano sound the same in real life as it does In the video?? please lemme know, I wanna buy one, which piano would you say has. the same action/ sound as an acoustic one??
Truth is, the audio in the video was recorded on an acoustic Yamaha baby grand. Later, I filmed the top-down view of myself playing an electric piano (while listening to the acoustic recording to match the speed), solely for the visual and to capture midi for the "falling" notes. I just find that a good acoustic sounds better for recording than an electric in my opinion. Electric pianos are great, though, and the hybrid pianos I've tried were impressive @januskhazar237
@@domraj oh okay I get it, alright which hybrid or electric perhaps would u recommend?
@januskhazar237 Sorry, I'm actually not sure - I haven't looked into it very much myself and don't want to steer you wrong. I'd definitely recommend trying out the piano before you buy it, if possible... Perhaps first visit a local piano dealer and try out the pianos they have in their showroom so you can get a feel for good pianos. Local piano dealers can probably give you some good recommendations based on your particular preferences and needs. Sorry I can't be of more help, and good luck in your search!
Woooow
The TH-cam algorithm made me an offer I couldn't refuse
could you kindly explain to me, a beginner pianist, what kind of technique did you used on 0:47, i would like to learn it but doesnt know the right name of that technique and cannot search it on yt. thanks a lot
Hey @user-ez9hk9qx6r
It's essentially a form of arpeggio, but with both hands taking turns and repeating some of the notes. I'm not sure if there is a specific name for it?
1. RH plays e-g-c-e
2. LH plays e-g-c (exact same notes as RH but leave off the high e)
3. Repeat steps 1. and 2. but an octave higher
Hope this helps! It is a difficult technique in my opinion.
@@domraj thanks a lot man
very nice
Perfect⚘👌
Thanks! @_kian
This is actually called: "Speak softly, love"
And it was composed for the movie
this is really impressive. How long did it take to get to this level?
Thanks! I've been playing for about 14 yrs. Took lessons for 10 yrs. @cihanyldrm611
Amazing! But could you do another one in the original key signature?
D minor scale
Crumbs. That was good. I play a slightly tamer version Just subscribed as I see you have sheets for your pieces.
😊@SmileyBlue69 Thank you for subscribing!
Whats the piano type? Is it just piano?
@rayaahmed8116 I recorded the audio on a Yamaha baby grand piano.
Yes, it's just piano - no extra instrument sounds were added for this one!
Hello DOMRAJ, I am wishing to purchase the sheet music, I am wondering if you have a midi file for purchase well await your reply with thanks kind regards Noeline
Thanks Noeline. Unfortunately I do not have a midi file available for purchase currently... I am considering possibly starting a Patreon page in the future with perks like that, but we will see.
