I'm pretty proficient at the piano. I also like to think I'm pretty creative and anytime I play, people are silent and surprised. Her ad libs and transitions are so spot on. Many have interstellar covers. Nobody hits it like this. She made great choices to shape it into a 12 minute lesson on impact and fluidity. Just beautiful.

Internet is such a funny place. I've watched around 20 other Insterstellar covers and most of them have more than 5 million views when this one, which BY FAR the best, more complete and intense of all of them, has not even 2 million views. This cover and her performance is massively underrated, and I am not trying to discourage or underestimate all the other ones, but definitely this one deserves much more attention. Chapeau 🙏
It is challenging to memorize but your brain tends to compress this kind of data into patterns and other types of memory cues. Consider the memory of playing this song as a construct. What's interesting is the brain does this on its own and your will and execution to play it is like going for a ride in your own body.

That No Time For Caution cover is INTOXICATING ... wow. I absolutely LOVE the low D octave you hit just after 5:52 to transition into Em. The original is missing that bass richness. I also haven't heard anyone else hit that in the lower register like you did. I'm stealing it :)
Because it’s such a beautiful song it’s kind of like your hands move on their own. Even your own mind starts to get transfixed with what you play and your fingers just take over the rest. (coming from a guitarist)
@@u208839 Muscle memory. Play it enough and you don’t need to actively think about the notes you’re playing anymore. In my experience as a pianist your brain automatically breaks the song up into perceived “sections” so when playing longer pieces the thing I’m thinking about the most is which “section” comes next.
Well... Interstellar is one of my favourite films. I've just got home, drunk from the pub and by no means a social media kinda guy. You’re not the only one. Another amazing detail is the detail that went into making this video. There are two cameras and on is on a motion slider that moves slowly. The audio quality is clearly professionally recorded as well. This was no off the cuff production.

That No Time For Caution cover is INTOXICATING ... wow. I absolutely LOVE the low D octave you hit just after 5:52 to transition into Em. The original is missing that bass richness. I also haven't heard anyone else hit that in the lower register like you did. I'm stealing it :)

@@u208839 Muscle memory. Play it enough and you don’t need to actively think about the notes you’re playing anymore. In my experience as a pianist your brain automatically breaks the song up into perceived “sections” so when playing longer pieces the thing I’m thinking about the most is which “section” comes next.
As a beginner piano player, I hope I could come closer to playing this beautifully. Absolutely Perfect.

This score was supposed to tell the story of Father/Daughter relationship. But it sounds like the story of humanity to me. Im sure loving the movie is part of that. Beautiful yet haunting rendition.
I’ve never been truly speechless from a piano cover before. Any piece of music at all really. But this had my jaw open the entire time. From start to finish every single note hit was hit with care, precision, dedication, and passion. I can FEEL this. That’s what art is. This is sooo clean! In so many covers of interstellar feel like the performer is always trying to chase the tempo / playing just outside of their comfort zone which brings mistakes.It's a difficult piece to perfect, and you've smashed it!
