Arthur's was gonna happen no matter what so you kinda knew he's was gonna die but John's was more shocking and he actually could've lived so John's death
The way the Arthur stayed loyal to Dutch from the beginning to the end, and their brotherly relationship, makes Arthur’s ending more emotional. And when Dutch left Arthur on that mountain to go pursue his own desires, it was a betrayal to Arthur because Arthur sacrificed so much for that gang.
One of the best games of all time. And one of the greatest protagonists. This will remain Rockstars greatest artistic achievement. Ever. RDR3 will be VERY hard to top because they nailed it with this one.
I'm pretty certain it's the best game ever to release overall. Obviously there are some games which laser focus on one aspect, that probably do said aspect better than rdr2 but it's the best well rounded standalone experience i think you can have in modern gaming
@@SbudzI agree, I try to not let my bias infect my opinions on things but. just stand out, rdr2 is at least top 3 best games ever made. Such a wide and deep net with this game.
Every red dead 2 playthrough I always play Arthur as a bad man until he gets diagnosed with TB. And end his story with the highest of honor. I believe it’s the canon way to play Arthur’s story
I start real rough and go down a notch every now and then, the Downes mission per example. I feel like Arthur is conflicted about doing what he did even if he shows up there and acts tough. I try to put myself in his shoes, i'd know I was doing wrong but still be too stubborn to admit it and change. But i'd go easier on some people here and there, to make myself feel better and from there it would just build up cause much like Arthur i'm an asshole but an asshole who really loves helping others so the more I help the more I wanna do it. Still an asshole though, a very helpful asshole.
That’s crazy that he also googled when the cure for tuberculosis was discovered. I think we all did that at a point . I spent like 2 hour trying to go back in my save and not do the downs mission and trying to figure out some way to save Arthur
If they made RDR3 and we played young Arthur with all the gang members yea even RAT face micah all young until the year RDR2 was set in Roger Clark should return i don't think anyone can do Arthur better then Roger
I bought the game on PSplus last year & im Still going through my first play through because its just so much fun, I know most of the spoilers already since I played the organizer when it came out and of ofc this one is about 6 years old already but I don’t care this game is still phenomenal and I’m gonna enjoy every bit of it and play as Arthur for as long as I can.
That is so cool that far cry 5 theme playing in back ! i just played rdr2 cause I want to associate playing this game with the memory of Far Cry 5. ❤️🤘🏻🥃
Even if a person catches TB, they can survive for many years with the disease. Doc Holiday lived 15 years with TB. if Arthur just retired somewhere and lived a quiet life. He would have lived another decade or more. It was his stressful lifestyle that killed him. not necessarily TB.
Rockstar made a mistake killing off Arthur. Not because it doesn't make a great redemption story a game, but simply because they didn't know how great of a protagonist he would be and they can never make him a main character again.
This is why I don't believe hypothetical theories about the game unless the writers scripted it into the story, The writers are the kings of the narrative, they wouldn't waste time putting something in the story if they didn't plan on using it.
Remember that the idea of the game is that redemption can only truly be found in death. Arthur was a bad man. He was a murderer, robber. He lived a very rough life and did a lot of evil things. The only time he considered changing his ways was when he realized he was dying and that his way of life was coming to an end. But that's not worth forgiving. You're supposed to atone for your sins before you die, before you're backed into a corner.
I wish red dead three was a prequel to Blackwater all the events leading up to black water now some people say that would be stupid whatever I don’t care, or the eight years between Arthur’s death to John’s epilogue
Did I miss something? Does he not die to his wounds from the fight with Micah? I can see how TB probably weakened him but he didn’t really die to TB.. someone please feel free to correct me here
the more i play this game, the harder it is for me to justify any other role in existence being better than roger clark as arthur morgan. it's mindblowing how real this character feels and he has raised the bar for every other actor i'll ever watch
Which hit the hardest, Arthur's Death or John's Death?
Discord: tinyurl.com/BossMorganDiscord
Arthur's death was inevitable, John's death could've been avoided. I say John.
Arthur's death is BIG tragedy
Arthur's was gonna happen no matter what so you kinda knew he's was gonna die but John's was more shocking and he actually could've lived so John's death

Arthur had no chance, Rockstar made us feel as John we had a chance, against all odds 😭
Arthur knowing he had tp really changes him it was heartbreaking and beautiful seeing him try to do something good
It's really emotional cause TP was so rare in the wild west. 😢
@@Boomgoesthedynamite12Tp was so rare they'd use dime novels. Somewhere in the future John probably wiped with the book Arthur helped research.
TB.

I genuinely question if they’ll make it with the gang it was a perfect story I truly don’t think they could expand on it more

I hope they don’t go back to RDR, but expand more to new IPs or Bully 2! 😅
When Roger Clark said "That's part of the Red Dead Redemption of Arthur Morgan" in this interview I almost cried.

I kinda played it that way by accident the first time, which made the ending hit even harder
It is.
this farcry 5 music just perfection
Best music I’ve ever heard in a game ngl
@@ZodiacBoi42 its match perfect to rdr2

you can see how much roger clark was invested in arthuer
Bro is one of us😭🤌
If they made RDR3 and we played young Arthur with all the gang members yea even RAT face micah all young until the year RDR2 was set in Roger Clark should return i don't think anyone can do Arthur better then Roger
"that's part of the redemption of Arthur" now that's something, hats off Rockstar
you could say, his red dead redemption
Arthur's. It's just the music and tone, and the deer got to me, and it just hit hard.
Arthur Morgan was my favorite character in red dead redemption game
Arthur's redemption is the best arc in rdr2, his death was very sad so as john's
So grateful for Roger Clark!
It’s called red dead redemption for a reason 😢
Dang if Arthur could have lived till he was around 77 they would’ve had a cure! wishful thinking you’re a good man Arthur Morgan!
It was a total pleasure to play him, thank you

There was a remedy to TB in 1854 wasn’t a cure, but it did work
It was found in 1944
That was curse of valentine

The farcry 5 music in the backround was an interesting choice lol
Never had it ever cried over a game let alone a character n horse until this game came... fn cried like I lost a brother...
you know the actor likes his character when they are sad about them dying

For anyone wondering, I believe the song in the background is from far cry 5
You are right.
exactly, it's called "now that this old world is ending"
@@Jaycobb07 I had a feelin, but wasn’t sure since a few in it sound similar, like the main theme or safe and sound
I just wish it was a true real story
Hoo arthur😊
Rockstar is the only franchise that can make the sequel better.
Chekhov's cough for sure
I wish red dead three was a prequel to Blackwater all the events leading up to black water now some people say that would be stupid whatever I don’t care, or the eight years between Arthur’s death to John’s epilogue
There should be a way for him not to die. I'm still upset about it. 😢
Everyone dies man. There are worse ways to die, at leasr high honor had a peaceful end.
So same point as us then 😂I won’t off thunk it
Love the far cry five music 😂

The absolute pinnacle of gaming…
It’s actually kind of ruined gaming for me bc nothing takes me anywhere close to how rdr2 had me feeling.
Its my go to game
I wonder how many people got TB from Arthur
Bad honor Arthur until he gets tb
I wonder if there are any vaccine deniers amongst players who've played RDR2?
Farcry 5 is a loose loose
The music was undeniably legendary though.
@ so was the gameplay bro I miss it so much if only there was stuff like past twos to each game
