My mum used to do this herself until her health failed and got a stroke 3 years ago. She felt the heartache whenever she saw strays going hungry.
I used to feed some stray dogs in Sembawang some 5 years ago. Due to poor health, couldn't continue 😢💔
Seeing these volunteers making good use of their time, I just have tears of gratitude 🙏❤

So sweet of them. Many years back, my dad worked as a Supervisor in the warehouse who used to feed and bathe the strays. I believe he did it during his break tocare for them despite having a busy schedule. He told me that these strays are often the victims of accidents or being
taken away by some authority concerned. Well, these doggies didnt end up with good fate. My Dad is 80++now. I believe it will be heart warming for him to see this clip.
So Bless to have so many kind people like u all feeding those stray dogs in our country singapore. I used to feed a very intelligent poor stray dog at my place at marsiling drive for many months ago. She knows this place very well. But she disappeared. I looked for her everywhere around my place. But couldn't find her. Very sad n disappointed, Someone must have bought her to some where.hope she still alive. Hopefully our people of singapore can give their respect n kindness those poor animals around us. In the past, I noticed that there were always dogs and cats at the construction sites to keep pests at bay to protect the construction tools and equipment. Once the projects were completed, the sub-contractors and canteen operators vacated the premises, but the animals were abandoned.
It's an inter dependent relationship between man and animal. We feed off their energy too, according to the migrant workers! Good job guys!!
Singapore is a garden city, without animals around no life is not garden city. Animals in singapore are protected. our government of singapore should stand up to find way how to help those poor innocent dogs in singapore. Those poor stray dogs are very intelligent n smart. Is pity to leave them Without water n food, they are unable to survive. Please help n give them support. many dogs around the world are suffering n killed cause of humans cold blooded n

Everywhere have strays and all kinds of miseries and unfairness in this world. Get used to it. Or do your part and try to made a change in this world to lessen these in life.
Thanks for helping me with the obvious guys, I stand by my comment. Many wants Pets, many animals (pedigree or not, they didn’t appear out of nowhere) without homes. I wouldn’t buy a pet because I wouldn’t be able to take care of it due to my disabilities.

My friend, Simon Tan used to feed stray dogs in Defu Lanes .
These dogs could "smell" his car coming from a distance.
Remarkable!
Not smell. Dogs can hear n recognise the engine sounds as belonging to the car of the person who feeds them. My own dogs cud also recognise our family car sounds n started wagging their tails before our car came into view.

If you want to take this seriously you need alot of things to do it. You need love for the animals,preservance,car,cash,time and a good social network to rally more like mind peoole to do it. Everyday at least two times as the animals need more than one meal per day. I dont know how some peoplecan do it but i have seen some are able to do it. Impressive.

The only advice , don't jog near these areas
There is a fine line between kindness and creating a new problem. Do these volunteers also work to have the animals neutered? Or will they breed and have more suffering animals in future? Will they feed them all? Is feeding of pigeons being kind? Is feeding of rats also being kind? Many serious implications in an "act of kindness". So often I see leftover food strewn along the backlanes. "cat ladies" think they are being kind. But the leftover food is left rotting feeding rats and flies. Water containers filled up and waiting for dengue mosquitoes. Animals leaving their poop all over the place. Do these "kind hearted" feeders, ever pick up the poop?
If only some of these "kind" volunteers treat their fellow humans half as nice as how they treat these strays.

These acts of 'kindness' are just unthinking biological instincts hardwired into humans to seek pleasurable feelings. If you get in the way of their pleasurable feelings or give them unpleasurable feelings, you will see how quickly their 'kindness' turn to viciousness.

Feeding these strays and then leaving them to roam feral is encouraging unwanted breeding. Our urban environment is ill suited to supporting stray populations of dogs and cats. Shouldnt a better solution be to neuter these animals or even better find a home for them off the streets? If these well fed ferals start to breed, the chain of suffering will be perpetuated.
Finally something positive in Singapore. Usually it’s all bullshit.

Dont NEA discourage feeding of strays? Now this is reported in the news. Is there a disconnect somewhere?
The discouragement is to prevent littering or dirtying the environment. So if you can feed the strays in a responsible manner and not leave behind food or litter, it's okay, and legal. Feeding wild animals (like monkeys) would be an offence.
@scsw66 .... NEA does NOT "discourage" feeding of straydogs n cats per se.
Just do it responsibly, meaning dont litter the area.

Community stray cats may carry Toxoplasma Gondii Zombies disease 😱.
Pet cat once step out of door become community cat pee & poo at community, inside lift, common corridor also neighbors flower pot causing breath choking unbreathable odor in lift and excrement in neighbors flower pot contaminating planted organic vegetables & fragrance flower and have to discard it.
Animals lover doesn’t mean need to own them.
is it ok to use expired canned foods to feed?....like canned ham or pork or fish and beans etc?...i have some and feel a waste to just throw away....thks Animal Group....
