    Great advice Dan. My list - What I can do - anything. Pay Some One - not likely. Reality - What I can Do - Bloody hell, I did that, Pay Some One - erm nothing yet!! 1 year in keep saying to myself "Dan said it's the journey not the destination". A project does become time and money consuming, but when you achieve something, (might not be pretty), but you have never had a go of anything like it before, it does feel really great when you stand back and can say I made that. Thanks to people like you Dan, people like me have the confidence to give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration mate !!

      Thank you so much mate I really appreciate you taking the time in leaving me a comment. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows but like you said if you can sit back and look at something you’ve created it definitely feels pretty good.

    It’s all about the journey, great advice, if you can keep it simple step by step and don’t over think it. And if you figure from the start that some mistakes might be made and everyone makes mistakes, you can learn and move on instead of getting all bent out of shape and wasting more time. Great video my friend, enjoyed it a lot!👍😎

    I know its a bit too late now, but the boys up at south east superior coatings in Coolum on the sunny coast did good work for me.

    Good advice buddy, and yes I too have a box of abandoned bits 😅 Have managed to sell quite a few but still some to go 😁

      If you go at the rate you’re going at the moment you might want to keep hold of some of those parts for the next build :)

      @@CafeRacerGarage 😅 For sure mate. Though if I told you what I'd love to build next you might pretend you'd never met me 🤣

    What are the tire sizes you went with on this build?

    Very many good tips here, great video! 😊
    Regarding powder coating the frame: I am not sure if that is the best way to go if the bike is supposed to be used and not just for display. I have found powder coating to be quite brittle, it typically chips of a piece if it gets a hard sharp impact (rock chip), and then it is likely to rust since it will expose bare metal. Regular 2K paint is softer, and with epoxy primer under the paint you have an extra layer of protection. It is also easier to touch up later if modifications needs to be done or damage happens. Well that is just my opinion, any thoughts?

      You definitely have a point and this is why I’m trying a totally different guy to do my powder coating because he 100% knows what he’s doing and we are doing some Creakote as well, The hardest coding available.
      Thanks for your thoughts brother I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment :)

      @@CafeRacerGarage It's just a pleasure to drop a comment to your videos, and thanks a lot for your reply 😊 Sounds like your powder coating guy knows what he is doing, I am sure the result will be splendid. I guess you will share the result in an upcoming video, looking forward to it 👍

    Hey mate, just wondering why you got it sent to Vic for powder coating ?

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The place that is doing it for me is doing Creakoting as well and he does a lot of bike parts so he knows what he is doing.
      More will be explained in the next Assembly video hopefully.

    How much is this cafe racer?

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate this is a very hard question to answer because I have an added up all the receipts you can spend anywhere from $1000 to Many1000s Depending on what you want to do the skills and tools you have and how much things cost in your country
