Also what did you mean by not usefull because diminishing returns on power savings? Surely 50% PL is 50% gpu power reduction. No?

It won’t damage the gpu if you run it at that power. In fact I’ve heard it’s better for it to run at lower power

In theory, your GPU will last longer because there is less heat. Hot-cold cycling kills electronics when subjected for long enough.
