One of my machines has a 2060 with a single fan. Running it at 85% has knocked a chunk off the temps and fan noise, with no noticeable drop in FPS. Thanks!

Its amazing how minimal the performance difference is even though you're using 30% less power. In fact there are some weird cases where you're getting slightly more performance with the power limit. Which is insane.

Yes it seems that CPU-limited games can only benefit from power limits with no downside.

The performance increase makes sense - the card can boost higher with lower temps, which come from lower power.
My own card rose slightly until 80%, then started to taper off, arriving back at stock at 67%.

Hey bro, really noob question, why your gpu uses always 98% power usage if you limited it ? how do you it is working ? if you put the PL to 70%, should the game us only 70% of the gpu ?
