I have just bought my second of these, after ten years. I did not succeed with the first one replacing the battery and reassmbling so that the adjustment buttons would work. Hene the new one, this with black face. Biggest fault with world time is that DST or not is a global setting, so making the world time function rather limited. I'd like to find modern watch with long-battery-life LCD display and LCD hands, so not to have moving parts. I have not found one so the 2747 will do the job.

So my uncle gave me his old watch that happens to be one of these. It has a metal band but I would like to change it to a nylon strap. How would I go about changing the strap?

The new strap must be 18mm wide. Buy a 2-piece nylon strap if possible, because a NATO strap by itself would be too difficult to put in. I know by personal experience.
