- A list of 10 watches Casio needs to bring back or reissue. Casio has recently been reissuing watches from their back catalogue, for example the AE-20W was reissued as the LF-20W and the upcoming A1100 is a reissue of the 52QS-14. This video is a wish list of 10 watches that I would like to see Casio reissue from their back catalogue.

I want Casio to bring back watches that are made of real metal, NOT silver painted plastic. Which always rubs off after a short time.

Casio should allow people to complete a survey asking them which models they'd like to see made again. I'd love another Databank telememo. I had a few back in the 80s/90s and they were fantastic.

I wish they would reissue the original Casio databanks. Don’t be fooled by the ones you can get now. These things were absolutely incredible! World time and a schedule that would scroll a message at the alarm time plus a phone book! Just amazing!
I agree and the ones you can buy new now will be fakes as Casio no longer make them. .
The Cosmo Phase and Moon Graph are my grail Casios. I would love a reissue.
I was hunting for them for almost a year and finally scored a Cosmo fro 350 bucks and lucked out on the moon graph for just 130 bucks.
I wish wearing two watches at the same time wasn't as frown upon as I would do that all the time haha.
My current grail watch is my FS-05 film watch.
And their sibling the W60U World time watch
I had the Blue Thunder watch back in the day, and I loved it. It disappeared from my wrist during a motorcycle accident, I'd buy a reissue in a heartbeat!
I totally agree on the game watch, I'd wish a few could come back as a nostalgias piece. I remember having the Nelsonic Space attacker in the early eighties, I'd totally would grab a reissue of that one if a manufacture would produce one.
I spent hours back in the 80s-90s playing with the car racing watch. I would buy it the minute they reissue one of those.

Heck yeah, when I see back catalogue items that are this cool, just waiting to be reissued, I’m convinced that Casio doesn’t like money.

I had a Marlin on a rubber strap when I was a kid I actually found it in a kids amusement ride at the shops, loved that thing I would buy 1 in a heartbeat.
I had the AA-85 when I was 14. CASIO, please reissue this model.
I had the AL180....but it was har to charge it in Sweden, with 6 months of darkness, lol. The Marlin Casio was on display in a store, in water, we admired it a lot. :-)
The flat version of the Databank with the slight angle between the two halves. Superb watches. The later ones were never as good.
Love the AE22w I had mines since the late 80s but I need to do a restoration on it once I get parts
I remember a classmate of mine having the Cosmophase watch. I thought it was so cool. (And I still do.) I was wearing the AL-180 at the time.
AA-85 and similar, AE20/21/22, GM's and AX's were the some of the best when I was young. Casio would make a few serious nostalgia sales if they brought back those. Same if Seiko brought back some of thier old digitals.

Some years ago, I saw a AL-180 on the shelf at Walmart and immediately wanted it--but I had no money at the time.
Unfortunately, by the time I did gather the money, it was no longer being sold there. So I settled for a Royale instead. But to this day I have pined for that missed opportunity.
I know how you feel. Casio, please reissue the AL-180.

Back in the early 90s I was still schooling and I remember watching at Casio watches in Shops I was window shopping. I clearly remember the Cosmo phase and the Moon Graph right in front of my eyes. I wish I had bought them. 😢

I had a watch that I loved and missed somewhere back a decade ago when I was a kid. Now just with your thumbnail I got to know that it was casio Fs-03em-4 😅😅😅 and I'm missing my lost watch now.
The Film Watch FS-03 rules! They need to bring it back.
I wore a blue thunder for over 20 years. In the end, the case was so scuffed, it was scratching my wrist and so I reluctantly stopped wearing it. If they were to re-issue it, I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.
#10 The Marlin. Absolutely!!! That would be my #1.

I think I need the cosmo phase more than anything.
I would love to see a reissue of the melody alarm models, or if they added a melody alarm to the new models to come.
I'd love to see the come back of film watch too. There are other variants like FS-02 that's even cooler than the one shown in the video. It can also store up to 30 phone numbers and has interesting animations in some modes (the FS-02 has a running man in stopwatch, some other variants have animations at the full minute).
FS-00 or FS-21 (diagonal displays make sense - less arm movement required - and good for driving)
I'd like to see a reissue of Databanks with built-in DTMF beepers.

i have the number 4 (DB-33W) since i was 8 years old. still working but it turns off after some days. i dont know whats wrong with it. i wore it 13 years before it failed.
my sister has the casio DB-30, witch is basically the same watch.

The Cosmophase is awesome
The film watch series is a great choice for the number one position.
My favorite model is the FS-02 with the polar dot-matrix display, which you can switch between an analog (very stylish looking) and a digital view of the time. It has some really fun animations. I have an FS-01 as well, which also has some cool effects.
The straps breaking is indeed their biggest problem and these watches are getting more difficult to find.
Another problem is the sharp edges of the case wearing down over time. They should re-release it with a metal case. Or someone else could release a metal version of the case, solving the strap problem at the same time.
The film watches don't have any sound though, so no alarm or timer functionality.
I really lucked out with an alarm clock version of the Cosmo Phase watch. Its functions, as mentioned in the video, are really fun.
The FS-02 had a unique display alright. Shame that they were so limited in supply and sold for only a short period. You're right about the straps being the main weak point, the slide-in straps look nice but replacements can't be found. I didn't know that other models in the range didn't have sound, luckily my FS-03 & FS-04 does come with an alarm.

Casio needs to bring back the AX series watches from the 80's with the fine second and minute analog displays and melody alarms.
they should bring back the cfx-200 and the cosmo phase I love them and plan to get them on the second hand market at somepoint

I just got my a1000 & a1100. Recently i know that a1100 is reissued from 52qs. So, what is A1000 reissued from?
For me the AE9W is the holy grail. I would love to see a reissue of that. Nice list though.

I wish Casio would re-issue the Marlin styles again. It was simple with usable features. They were everywhere in the mid 80s. I always loved the time being displayed while cycling through every mode. Seems like everyone had a Casio of some type back then. These days, I dont see many on people's wrists. Casio, if you're reading this...please go back to basics and bring back the Marlins!!!
Really wish Casio would bring back the AE-11 model 694 AE-11W I had that watch for years my late mum bought it me when I was at school in the 80’s I’m 52 now I had that watch until it literally fell to bits please Casio bring it back.

I like something similar to the AE-20W module/display design and then they change it with maybe 2 ideas being clever and the base idea from earlier destroyed. Then I feel sad and don't buy a newer edition. How hard is it to not change a lot?

The Comos watch and Moon Phase are siblings to my all time favourite the W 60U which as an oval globe instead of clearly this body needs to come back.

I’d love to see Casio bring back the TW-7100C solar, titanium, digital watch. It also has its solar panels on the dial. The DW-1400 “Marlin”, with 200m water resistance would be great, too.

There's a little mistake. Film Watches are not only ana-digi. I have a model only digital with the display in vertical (yeah, a pain in the ass to read it out!), FS-06, and others references was digital only. Coolest looking imho!
Yes there were many varieties. One model even played animations on the display. I kept it simple for the sake of brevity.
It's kinda hard to get Casio made in Japan. I was able to get one by luck 🤞

It certainly has an extraordinary LCD display. Must be quite rare and I can see where the AE1200 got it's inspiration from.

I love that 80s tech look. The best watches I ever owned were early databanks. If they re-introduced them I'd buy one. I see them on Amazon claiming to be new but I suspect they're fakes.
Casio always goes for the three button setting in most of their digital watches instead of four like other brands do they?
It varies. Entry level watches generally have 3 buttons, example if they only have alarm, date and stopwatch. If they have extra functions such as world time as in the AE1200, then they have 4.
