It would be pretty poor in natural day light at anything over 60 inches even then not good enough for PowerPoint. You would need to control the light somewhat to get use out of this.

+Vibhav Garg I've just setup the p8i in my own bedroom with a ceiling mount for a video tomorrow, looking at the amount of different between a freshly painted super matt white wall vs a projector screen barely an hour ago. 7.30 tomorrow As for which is better the h96p has more lumens and a better version of Android not to mention it supports 4k playback obviously not at 4k but it can play the file format. But the p8i out lasted both the other's in battery life. Id go with the h96p check the link in the video discription I'm sure its on offer till the end of the month.

So how do they compare to these portable projectors and how come there is huge difference in lumens yet the quality of these portable projectors look comparable in review videos??
+Vibhav Garg So this is not really a simple question, basically there are three type's of projectors lcd which I can't comment on as I've never tested one, second type is LED or your larger projectors like the GP90 I tested a while back and your basic pico projectors. Most LED projector have a much longer life than traditional projector lamps, around 20,000 hours they also dont suffer from rainbow effect like with some dlp projectors this will however depend on how slow the colour wheel is, that said dlp projectors have a sealed chip so dust cant get on to the chip unlike led projectors, both led and dlp have issues, for me it comes down to the size of your room the screen size your going for and if you have the right amount of throw distance, if done right even a good old 480p projector will look good enough in videos or your living room.
Thanks for this information. My room size is around 3.6 X 3.6 meters. The screen size that I would be aiming for would be around 80-100 inches. I'm looking for a portable projector so that I can keep projector on my bed and project on to the front wall. The doubt in my mind is about the brightness and colors of the mini projectors like P8I/C800I/H96P. Would they be bright enough to give a good viewing experience in mid light room, as even with all lights off my room doesn't go pitch black. If they can possibly give the good viewing experience with good colors and brightness then I would go for it else I would rather invest in a large monitor. That is the main confusion in my mind. Also while selecting out of the three (P8I/C800I/H96P.) battery life is not a concern, which would provide better viewing experience in medium light room that is what would help me finalize my purchase option. I hope you understand my concern an really appreciate your prompt replies :)
In a dark room it will be fine best screen size 80-100, for almost the same money you could pick up a full size projector like the alfawise x or cl760 both are 720p native, unless your stuck with wanting portability
Is there any possibility to get a Link to the Android Stock Rom 4.4? I did an Update on Android 7.1.2. but since then WIFI and Bluetooth aren't working any more. A factory reset did not help.

No it's not necessary but the connection quality will be better for long streaming sessions via an actual airplay dongle in my experience. But if it's working for you no need to invest in a dongle.

the c800i had 80 or 90 lumens the p8i has 100, plus it out lasted the c800i by 40 or so minutes from a full charge.

There about the same the gp70 is brighter, I'd probably say save the little extra go with the gp100 standard
