- Are you in need of a budget projector.....this P8i / P8 mini projector from DLP could be the one. This pocket sized bomb shell is selling at £120 on gearbest at the mo, and would be all you need to get yourself into the projector game.

Does this support HDMI in for gaming projection.
Great video! Everything was great. The detailed description, the video quality, the sound quality and clarity, lighting, ect. Everything was very well done and professional. You definitely have all the aspects needed to be a successful creator on this platform. Only recommendation is to remove the music from certain parts of the video. At any point in your video when you speak to your audience, the background music is quite distracting. I showed this particular video to several friends and family members. The magority of them also had mentioned the background music being either too loud, unnecessary, or distracting. This was just my honest feedback and opinion. Don't get me wrong I could not have made a video as well as you have done here, and you're content is of a fantastic quality. Overall, a 9.9 out of 10 IMHO. Have a wonderful day. Looking forward to more of your videos in the future!

hi how can i use my laptop with the projector? i connected my laptop to the projector via hdmi but nothing is happening. i expected that the laptop will detect the projector but it didnt detect the projector in the display settings on my laptop
Do you know by any chance how to change the home menu apps? Mine has youtube among them but it doesn't really work so I'd like to change it for Netflix

What are the internal memory specs on this projector? How much storage is actually available for apps installation and does the playstore work?
What's the trick to typing in the wifi password? Do I have to hook it up to my laptop and use the keyboard? Also, can I invert the image? I want it pointing down onto my table and the image is upside down.

Only thing I would of liked to have seen you do, is pause the music, and just place your phone near the projector to capture how much noise it makes, as projectors are notouriously noisy due to the fan, these small projectors use LED bulbs instead of condecent ones so im interested in knowing how noisy they are in comparison (I have purchased the Vivicine P11 so i guess ill find out in a weeks time, it has Android 9 on which im happy with but see how smoth it runs

Hi everybody. I did a Firmware upgrade on Android 7.1. but unfortunately the WIFI and Bluetooth now are not working any more. A factory reset did not help. Could somebody please provide a download link to the Stock Rom Android 4.4.4 or to a working actual Version? That would be very nice! Thanks!

Never played with the cube if I'm honest...
Need to get my hands on one to be fair.
When I use the HDMI as a source I lose my Bluetooth audio function. So no longer will my music come from my wireless speaker, only from the tinny projector. The only way to fix this is to use the head phone jack as a hard connection to my speaker. Am I missing something?
No, dosent work from HDMi, i use phonejack as conection ( or you can buy a "cheap androidtvbox" i use T9 box..4gbram,32 gb 50 dollar Aliexpress) as bluetoothdevice..They have upgraded P81 brands (Aun,Byintek and more) to 7,1 android and up to 2gbram and 16gb :) Bought mine from Aliexpress...
Is this the same product labeled as "byintek p8i" ? :) i am debating with myself whether I should buy it or not, is it a good piece of product? How is it holding up for you like 1 year later? 😊
Hey my man. Not sure as I cant seem to find that when I check on the ole google. If it looks the same with specs etc, then I would say go for it. Just make sure you get one with an HDMI IN and not an HDMI out.....that way you can plug in external devices like gaming consols etc....

Hi, great review! I have one of this projector and keystone correction doesn’t seem to work when I have hdmi input and hence showing a “V” shaped display. Would you have any idea to improve this? Thanks!!

Hi! I got a DLP P8 Mini Projector and ı started to use it properly but its charger broken and then ı try to charge it by another charger but this charger was different from original. So, ı couldn't open it again. the machine still working but doesn't indicate and light.
Remark: different charger was 12V. Waiting your prompt reply. Thanks in advance.
5V is the operational voltage i guess.. if you do 12V as an alternative, it can broke your projector's power regulator and soon components will be damaged

@@tantamayo971 turns out the mini projector wasn't intended for projecting the screen of a laptop if it only has the hdmi out usb

Can someone help me? My P8I does not show the home screen. After projecting the first screen it just goes blue with a "no signal" message. And I can't click any of the buttons. It's not functioning. 😢
How can I connect it to my laptop via HDMI? I don't see "HD IN" in my Home screen, I see "TH-cam" instead.

Ravi Raj hi buddy. From what I remember, there are two types for this projector. One has HDMI in and the other has HDMI out....it maybe you got the wrong one. I would send it back and get the one with the HDMI in!! Hope that makes sense???

EDWIN SHUTZBERG hey buddy. Not at all....if you look at 4:23 into the video, you will see on the left of the menu “HDMI IN”! Plug your Xbox into the projector via and click that....worked for my switch no problem. Hope it works.

You charg it with the cord you got with the projector..lasts about 2 hours..a red light comes on and blink if its out of juice :)
How do you play TH-cam from Android? Seems like it doesn't work
I believe to use youtube you have to go to thr Web based version as there is no app that can be installed. Hope this helps

This pico projectors (P8, P9, etc..) has variations on HDMI some are HDMI IN where it can accept inputs. Some are HDMI OUT where the purpose is to display out to a non smart tv to make it as a smart tv..

If it doesn't have an Hdmi in... I'm lost. Maybe the model you have doesn't have an Hdmi in? There are some that have an out.... Which in my opinion is useless.
If your unit has an HDMI OUT variation, it will not accept input. The purpose is to display the projection UI into your non smart Tv. It will serve just like an android media box for a non smart tv
Can this be upgraded to 5.1 or 7.0 android?

They have 7.1 version out for over a year now...Bought it from aliexpress..from 176 dollar, 1 gbram/ 8gb-2gbram/16gb about 198 dollar..

Miracast and eshare..easy :) android or iphone..i hook up my tvbox with more ram trough HDMI input..+ i use a wifi extender for better conectivity(second bedroomfloor) and projects on my wall...:)

Hhmmmmm only thing I can think of is a firmware/software update.... Although I've not done this before with mine....sorry I cant help here.

Lose the music, fk. If you do use music, have it at a low, low volume and be angelic and relaxing as to not distract, but relax the viewer.

Yes it is....still amazing playing games on that bad boy. Speakers are a must though and even better if you throw them through and amp.

You need the hdmi converter if you have an iPhone . About 40 bucks though. I just bought this projector
