Love how these turned out. I like dying fabric and paper. I use whatever I have like coffee, turmeric, koolaid, acrylics, inks. It’s so fun to see the results. For me I like the darker papers.

Yes, there are so many things that can dye paper, it's much easier I think than fabric or wool.

Loved the tea dyed doilies. I added your video to my Tea crafts playlist. I have those drying racks and didn’t know they could be stacked. 😂

So glad I could help, lol!! We learn so much by watching others' processes.

Great tutorial! It would be nice to know the names and where you got the supplies from, like the tea, lacy paper placemats and drying racks and perhaps a link to a source to purchase from. Just a suggestion?

Thank you! And I understand what you're saying. Most is from thrift stores, but I can try to mention where I get things in the future.

Thankyou for sharing how pretty they turned out. I have been dying papers and drying in the sun in my garden laying out on my two benches, its true they drip a bit but they are drying so quickly. Im bit impatient on the drying time so it works for me. 😊

I love that you can dry them out in the sun! It gets so windy here, I'm afraid they'd blow away, wish I had that option.

Hi. I Love those doilies, where did you get them?
I have never seen cooling racks like that. I am now on the hunt. Me for dyeing paper and my daughter for her baking.
I have tried different ways, I like the paint on method because the paper doesn’t get as wet. I should say I like it better for papers that I already printed on. I have an ink jet and painting on helps it not run.
I like the idea of putting the tea bags on top, I am going to try it.
    Thank you for sharing. X

Thank you. I will have to try it. I must have 25 of her edge punches and I have many others. You just gave me some great ideas to try. I will also do some for Cards.

Please what kind of paper do you use. Thank you

This paper was from a huge, presentation style notepad, which I cut down to 8 1/2 X 11 sheets. It was from old office supply so totally recycled! I would suggest using 24 pound paper if you purchase yours.

Did your husband go get the wood for the dog house after throwing out your tea? 😉 mine knows better than to touch anything that looks like I might 'need' or 'want' lol
I like this idea, I may try it with a couple of small journal kits I bought on Temu - small journals - and like you I do not care for the WHITE paper. I also have in mind to get journals made for the rest of the year - I write in one each month, and add a daily page of art in some form or other.
I also have a few onion skins I kept back to paint paper with, maybe I will try this method and see how dark they get, or learn how much water to have them brew in.
I hear you on the Raynaud's and the arthritis. Nothing beats a really nice warm cup of tea on the cold hands and a beautiful warm shower. I also have Fibromyalgia and Sjogren's on top of them, so an interesting mix in one body 😂
you now have 130 subbies 💖

No, he didn't get in trouble. It's up to me to communicate what I need to stay put, because he can be clueless, lol. Let me know how your other dyeing goes! It takes a lot of onion skins for a dye, I usually forget to save them.
Sounds like we have similar autoimmune issues, it's such a challenge. I find working with paper is easier than other crafts because there are many options and ways to cope.
