I like the idea of paper ruffles! I wouldn't have thought of this. Maybe you could do a video showing this technique? I love how this journal is looking! 😊❤
Great practical demonstratio, & clear instruction how to do a hidden binding. Thanks for sharing! 😊❤
I like your organisation of your papers, it really makes sense, but I also like how you still had a box to organise too - a grace box, I love that name! We crafters are so similar 😊❤
How lovely! I really love Daphne's Diary & all the inspirational ideas from it. I look forward to the rest of the series. 😊 It's interesting to hear about books too, I have always loved them! Thanks for sharing! 😊❤
Great haul! I went to an estate sale several months ago and found a lot of similar items I plan to use in future junk journals. Lots of vintage magazines and stationery. I also have too much stuff for junk journaling and not nearly enough time.
This is beautiful thanks for sharing 😊❤
Awesome😊❤...Hello from India 😊
Oh my goodness!! Thank you! I'm so happy to have won this!!! I will email you shortly!
Congratulations for the winner 🎼🎉🎵🎊🎶🥳
Thank you! And congratulations to everyone else who is also receiving a gift!
Where do you find such large paper dollies?
Thrift stores & estate sales!
Giveaway. I love everything about this sweet little journal! It's not overwhelming with a ton of ephemera, so there's lots of room for writing and embellishing. Beautiful!
Entered! Thank you!
@butterflypapers thank you!
❤❤❤
Giveaway Thank you for sharing this sweet journal and for the giveaway. I like watching flip throughs and that's how I found yours tonight. I also like process videos to see what supplies others use and how they put them together. Have a blessed day.
Entered! So glad you found me.
giveaway I have an interest in junk journaling. That being said, I just haven't put one together and thought that one already made would give me a place to start!
entered!
Totally relate because after years and years there is just so much… we don’t all have so much space either! I need to do this!
This is lovely! I just found your channel and subscribed, I've been exploring your videos. Lots of good tips and ideas! 😊
Hi. I Love those doilies, where did you get them? I have never seen cooling racks like that. I am now on the hunt. Me for dyeing paper and my daughter for her baking. I have tried different ways, I like the paint on method because the paper doesn’t get as wet. I should say I like it better for papers that I already printed on. I have an ink jet and painting on helps it not run. I like the idea of putting the tea bags on top, I am going to try it. Thank you for sharing. X
13:35 i was afraid you were going to say: my husband drank it! 🫖 😂 question: can you iron the doilies?
Please take care of your nails before filming!!!
You must have missed the fact that I have autoimmune issues that affect my nails. They are a constant challenge and no, it's not the prettiest. But perhaps seeing imperfections, people can have more compassion and empathy for those that deal with things that affect their body. Don't you think?
Great tutorial! It would be nice to know the names and where you got the supplies from, like the tea, lacy paper placemats and drying racks and perhaps a link to a source to purchase from. Just a suggestion?
Thank you! And I understand what you're saying. Most is from thrift stores, but I can try to mention where I get things in the future.
Please what kind of paper do you use. Thank you
This paper was from a huge, presentation style notepad, which I cut down to 8 1/2 X 11 sheets. It was from old office supply so totally recycled! I would suggest using 24 pound paper if you purchase yours.
Loved the tea dyed doilies. I added your video to my Tea crafts playlist. I have those drying racks and didn’t know they could be stacked. 😂
So glad I could help, lol!! We learn so much by watching others' processes.
Nice demonstration ❤
Thank you!
Love the sound of the paper 😊
Yes, me too!! It's comforting.
These turned out really nice!
Thank you!
Thankyou for sharing how pretty they turned out. I have been dying papers and drying in the sun in my garden laying out on my two benches, its true they drip a bit but they are drying so quickly. Im bit impatient on the drying time so it works for me. 😊
I love that you can dry them out in the sun! It gets so windy here, I'm afraid they'd blow away, wish I had that option.
Love how these turned out. I like dying fabric and paper. I use whatever I have like coffee, turmeric, koolaid, acrylics, inks. It’s so fun to see the results. For me I like the darker papers.
Yes, there are so many things that can dye paper, it's much easier I think than fabric or wool.
Did your husband go get the wood for the dog house after throwing out your tea? 😉 mine knows better than to touch anything that looks like I might 'need' or 'want' lol I like this idea, I may try it with a couple of small journal kits I bought on Temu - small journals - and like you I do not care for the WHITE paper. I also have in mind to get journals made for the rest of the year - I write in one each month, and add a daily page of art in some form or other. I also have a few onion skins I kept back to paint paper with, maybe I will try this method and see how dark they get, or learn how much water to have them brew in. I hear you on the Raynaud's and the arthritis. Nothing beats a really nice warm cup of tea on the cold hands and a beautiful warm shower. I also have Fibromyalgia and Sjogren's on top of them, so an interesting mix in one body 😂 you now have 130 subbies 💖
No, he didn't get in trouble. It's up to me to communicate what I need to stay put, because he can be clueless, lol. Let me know how your other dyeing goes! It takes a lot of onion skins for a dye, I usually forget to save them. Sounds like we have similar autoimmune issues, it's such a challenge. I find working with paper is easier than other crafts because there are many options and ways to cope.
Awesome 👏. Where did you get the stackable drying racks? Love that idea ❤
Thanks! I got the drying racks early into my marriages, so at least 25 years ago, oh my!
great idea! thanks for sharing!
I love this ❤
Cute!
Interesting way to tea dye! and I see I am your 100th subbie! ❤
Woohoooo!!! Thanks so much!
Thank you. I will have to try it. I must have 25 of her edge punches and I have many others. You just gave me some great ideas to try. I will also do some for Cards.
You're welcome!
GREAT!! TFS. Linda
Hi when someone receives a postcard do they send one back as thank you or did they send you a message in the site? If thank you postcard then everyone does that? Send one back to person who sent to you?
When they receive a postcard, they register it on Postcrossing. They can send a thank you note from the site or not, their choice. Then you can send another postcard out!
This is very charming. I have not tried this yet, but I love your Fairy theme.
Thanks, I enjoyed making it!
This journal has a lot of charm. :-) Perhaps some corrugated cardboard under the image, with a touch of soft gauze to mimic cotton and some charms from an eyelet or tassel for the 3 themes? Enjoyed watching. Best wishes~ Valerie.
Thanks for the idea!
Thank you so much for sharing. Amazing how much you did in 24 hours. It is taking over 2 years for my big one LOL. Well done. I love what you did and it is just so cool. You said you did hidden spine? I like that method too. I just have not tried it yet. I have so many of your You Tube Videos to watch. You sure have a lot of gorgeous lace too. I need to dye more of mine.
Thanks! I can't believe I did it so quickly too, just had everything ready to go. I have one I just did that took 12 hours! Will post that video later. I like the hidden spine to keep the original book more intact.
@@butterflypapers soo cool
Gorgeous book, thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks so much, I appreciate your kind words.
You did well :-) My thrift stores do not offer bag sales, but I can often find these kind of supplies at church sales. I like the goat and owl napkins. Enjoyed watching. Best wishes~ Valerie.
oh yes, I'll need to keep a look out for church sales this summer!! Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed watching :-) Subscribed. Best wishes~ Valerie.
Awesome! Thank you!
I love it!!! ❤
I wanna see more! Love the magazine!😊🤗🥰
No worries, there's more to come!
Fun to watch! What kind of glue do you use please and do you apply it with a paint brush or what do you recommend? I’m glad you mentioned this channel on your Julie Norman channel episode that I was watching earlier. I’m subscribed to all of them now 😊
I like Fabri-Tac and Beacon 3 in 1 the most. Glad you found this channel!
This is adorable I make these all the time and then I tie them in to a cover like with a twine binding method or you can leave them separate so I like to do that too because you can add pages I don't even so signatures in any more because it restricts you so much so I like to be able to have the option to go ahead and add pages...... I also give them as gifts like that so they're great for encouragement gifts as well to put in inspirations may be a gift card and just share some friendship photos or prayer time or whatever.....❤
Those are great ideas!! I've always like the Traveler's Notebook style of switching signatures in and out.
I'm late watching this one, but like it very much. I think it's a good idea. Love and Blessings. 💕
Thanks for sharing.😊 I’m the same, no one to leave all my many many many journals to. Great idea. Much love ❤️ and God bless.✝️🌹🙏🏻
It’s Cool idea 👍👍👍 very beautiful 😻
It’s а beautiful postcard 👍
