    I have a 2005, I was looking at doing this. Man you saved me a huge headache lol I not gonna do this, it's no normal process, I'm gonna pay someone lol. Thanks for the video! I wouldn't mind seeing one on changing out that driver's side wiper blade. I can't get that thing off either.

      I think I explain in the video how to take off the wiper arm.....oh just noticed you said blade. dont know.

    I left the fuel rails in the engine with injectors on the engine. Didn't need to remove them. I removed the intake manifold without the rails.

    This was a great video... however, there is a recessing Allen key bolt on the back right side that keeps the alternator snug. If you loosen that first, you won't struggle to remove the alternator. Just a friendly tip.

    Great video. What length and type of 15mm box end wrench did you use for belt removal? Was it and offset wrench? Thank you.

    • @cruizinmax4017
      @cruizinmax4017  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for late response, It was basically a long closed end 12 point straight wrench, you can probably buy them on amazon.

    • @garyhertfelder4904
      @garyhertfelder4904 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the response. I used a 15mm socket and a breaker bar to release pulley tension.

    What is the part number for the alternator for the 2010 Maserati quadruporte base model 4.2 l
    Mine's out I've done the test had a feeling but did the test anyway measurements aren't reading we're supposed to check the fuses. And still went back to the alternator test then alternator then power drops across the alternator's connections to make sure everything was connected correctly and everything was grounded. But I do need the part number.

      No idea my friend, the owner provided me with the alternator and it was used.

    Nice job my men.
    Question why you don't cover the side screens ?
    Can you tell me where's the startingmotor ?
    Regards

      I dont remember the side screens, did this job a while back but as far as the starter, that should be on the bottom near where the trans and engine meet since i didnt see it up top. Sorry for lack of a better answer.

      why, did you have issues after moving the flap like that?

    • @troystcyr3771
      @troystcyr3771 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cruizinmax4017 it can mess up the throttle body for sure, suppose to use the accelerator pedal for electronic throttle body’s. Not like the good ol days of pulling the wire.

    • @cruizinmax4017
      @cruizinmax4017  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have done many throttle body cleaning like that by moving the flap when the key is off and never had an issue. With no power to the motor, the motor moves freely so you can move it all you want. One time cleaned out a nasty and I mean nasty TB on a nissan altima and I had to reprogram it after that because rpms would jump up and down.

      This is not the car to try your first alternator or even your fifth alternator.
      I recommend you have a friend mechanic help you. Too much can go wrong here with fuel rails, or intake etc.

    DO NOT TOUCH THESE ENGINES IF YOU ARE NOT MECHANICALLY TRAINED WITH THESE CARS........
    You wanted a Maserati because it's the closest you will ever come to owning a Ferrari so you need to PAY A QUALIFIED MECHANIC or regrets will soon follow.
