I tried the broomstick method first but I found that I could only fit my hands flat under the belt as it was just too tight. With the hands being flat, I couldn't squeeze the tube. I ended up loosening the roller pins 10 rotations like the owners manual specified, lubed the deck, and then re-tightened the roller pins. Worked great! Thank you for the alternative method - I'm glad it works for you and others just fine and is a lot quicker than messing with the roller pins.
This covered what I needed to know about lubricating a treadmill belt, thanks! There's a lot of debate online for how often you lubricate a treadmill belt. I just got a Sole F80, used maybe 20 times by the previous owner who suggested I lube the belt before using it. Some say once a year, some say 4 times a year, some say Sole's reccomendations messed their treadmill up and to lube only once a year. I'll be using this treadmill on a weekly basis, no one else but me will be using it. So, once a year? Twice a year for lubricating the belt? What do you think?
Well it is best to feel under the walk belt once a month! It is best to have a smooth slick silicon feel to the touch. Days , months, years, as you have found out differs a lot just keep it slick feeling. And learn the amps of your unit to test for belt wear
This is an off topic subject other that I have an issue with my walking belt. I have an old 2008 nordictrack apex 6100xi. It is a great machine. I recently moved and now the walking belt is rubbing against the bolt that attaches the brackets that hold the isolators (?) on. The isolator is a black cylinder that is like a little roller. I don't even know what it is for. The walking belt seems to have the same tension as before.
Well normally the belt moves over because of a imbalance in the rear roller. I would start with what ever side the belt goes to. Tighten that side of the roller see if belt moves over. I have a video on that under sole also . Do it a very little bit at a time
Hello, i just purchased a Sole F85 Treadmill from their website yesterday. Assuming this model i will need to use Silicone. What product would you recommend me getting? I am getting it June 17th and would like to Lube it before i start running on it. Does these treadmills come with a Sample Lubricant bottle ?
If it is a sole it should be close to that. There are some times you have to loosen the rear roller to get your hand under but I don’t. See sole walk belt slipping to get a example of how I do it

@@peanutshere911 Well Thank you I just don’t use the adjustment screw in the rear because I am afraid people won’t get it back center. Good Job
That was amazing…thanks for sharing your immense wisdom & knowledge of lubing!
@@danieloconnor7253 wow Thanks so much. For such a small service Please subscribe

Yes they do! We also carry the factory lube when you need it
@@FitnessTechnologyServices How would someone purchase this lube? can i get it off Amazon?
@@plaguedoc8261 well you can get anything on Amazon
Does the Sole F63 come pre-lubed out of the box? I thought I read that it did... but I don't feel any "wet runny nose" feel?
Hmm not to me I would go by feel. Even when the factory sends me out they always add a tube of lube
My belt doesn’t have near that much slack to reach under it.
