Thank you for this video. I recently lubed up my f63 treadmill, following the instructions in the manual, but it still didn't run right. I followed your instructions, and the treadmill now runs OK. What I didn't know is you had to loosen the belt. If you don't, you can't lift the belt enough to apply the lube. But what really helped was my treadmill didn't lock in the upright position. And, I am including this for anybody else with the same problem. The little catch in the bottom rail didn't pop out through the hole and hold the deck in an upright and locked position. I didn't realize you also had to lube the bottom rail. I did that, and worked the deck up and down to spread out the lube. The little catch still didn't pop out, so I touched the catch, ever so slightly, with a flat head screwdriver to loosen it up. It popped out right away, so now I can fold my treadmill again. I think the key is to keep the bottom rail lubed, as a preventive measure. Thanks again, for a clear and easy to understand video.
I am still putting my treadmill together..almost finished. This is a first-time event and don't expect to buy another one. Just happened to come across this and watched. Your video was the best one I have seen about the Sole F63. Now I know that is a very important step and you made it look important and easy to do. Thanks for the good explanation.. I appreciate it. Think I'll get this finished tonight!
Thank you for your clear explanation. I have a SOLE F80 - but the principle is the same. After greasing the treadmill, it works much quieter. I ran mine 95 minutes before lubrication. Several comments. 1. Follow the instructions in your treadmill instruction manual to reset the timer for lubrication. It is a very fiddly procedure but it works with patience. This timer number is the one that you see when you start up your treadmill. 2. There are two screws at the end of the treadmill. The one with the Philips screw is for removing the cover. I had to remove the cover in order for the Allen wrench to fit, as the Allen screw was partially covered by the cover. The one that uses the Allen wrench is for loosening the treadmill belt. This is the one you need in order to loosen the belt. 3. I held up the treadmill belt part (the part that goes up and down) while unscrewing and screwing in the Allen wrench bolt. I found that this made it easier to see what I was doing. 4.. The video suggested lubricating the two parts under the belt first. These two parts are used to raise and lower the treadmill. Great idea to lubricate this first. 5. All in all, a great video. Good luck with your running. Enjoy!!! 6. BTW, it took me 1.5 hours to lubricate the treadmill belt. This is my first time to do this procedure.
Thanks man, very helpful! Just swapped a neighbor some work for his barely used F63 and saw a tube of grease with it. Thought I’d better see what that was for! Great video
I was soo intimidated to lube my own tread.. Thank you soo much for this video. You made it Very user friendly; step by step. I appreciate your time on this.. thank you again!
I'm on my second Treadmill f63. My first f63 I had 7,000 miles on it before I busted it. This one I am at 1,400 miles after just about 11 months. Still runs like a charm!
According to the owner's manual all you have to do is lift up a little bit on each side with the belt still fully tensioned and put a 15-in s-shaped pattern about 4 to 6 in on each side and then walk on it for 5 minutes. They do not suggest loosening the belt in the manual
Ha, bought it as a new year's resolution, I'm sure it became a coat hanger after 3 months, if not sooner. Then someone got a great deal on a very lightly used treadmill. Lol
This was extraordinarily helpful. Just did my first lubricant job at my 90 hour mark. This would not have been possible had I not watched this video first. That belt is TIGHT and there is no way to get your hand inside! I will share this video with my daughter who bought the same make and model. Thank you!
Superb! I just purchased a pre-owned F63 and it’s mighty dusty so I am going to give it a complete clean,,, and lube of course ;-) Thanks so much, really appreciate the video. -fingers crossed you have a video showing how to set the F63 to miles instead of kilometres 👍
Great video! I really appreciated the attention to detail. Worked great on my Sole F80 (2020 model) although I needed about 10 full turns to get the belt loose enough to effectively reach under my belt. I’m sure it differs by the treadmill!
That is EXACTLY what I figured would be the best way to lube a treadmill belt. I haven't bought mine yet but am preparing for a purchase soon. I didn't like that "quicky" method of using a long tipped squeeze bottle. My method is almost the same as yours. I would prefer to wipe down the whole platform with a LIGHT coating of SILICONE OIL AND THEN turning my hand upside down and LIGHTLY coating the underside of the belt, too. From all the repairs I've been reading about on treadmills, it seems that a lot of the electrical issues are cause by electrical overload. A dry belt increases motor overload and hot wires until something electrical just gives out. I want a slippery belt. But I'll bet that over 90% of treadmill owners never oil their moving parts or adjust belt tension or do any maintenance. Just get on and beat it to death and then complain about product quality. That's the American way. How many car owners check their own car oil? Not many.
Yeah that long thing is garbage, I did that once and I put more than I thought and my floor was oily for a year even after washing it making my treadmill move on high speed
Great video. Pls share how to clean n grease the rollers, difficult to get the SOLE technician home due to the COVID lockdown and I can hear some murmur and squeaking.
You say you buy the lubricant directly from the manufacturer; do you have a link? I have this same make/model of treadmill, and when I go to the Sole website I don't see anywhere to buy the lubricant from.
What size is that hex key? I tried so many sizes on my treadmill and nothing seems to work 5 seems to fit almost excatly and 6 is too big. Donnu whats inbetween..
@GeekyAsianDad, what type of lube did you use in this video? Can you share the model number or the type? I would like to order some on Amazon. Or if you can share a link... anything would be helpful.
The lube sold by Sole is in a tube and thicker where every other treadmill lube is a thin liquid silicone in a bottle. I wonder why that is? It seems like the viscosity in the tube would be too thick to be absorbed into the belt's cotton lining.
You don't need to lube the lift on the back of the treadmill. It's not recommended by Sole. You also don't use a whole tube or smear it with your hand. It doesn't hurt anything but walking on the treadmill for 5 minutes after distributes the lube.
As a rule of thumb, how loose should the running belt be? My treadmill just came in and I can barely even lift the belt up so it is def too tight. Also, my treadmill has those oil holes should I lube it your way or just drop it into the hole?
Quick question.. I followed your video exactly as shown but now even though the belt seems to be moving smoothly the treadmill is making a noise in the front that it wasn't making before. Any suggestions? BTW great video! Very helpful!
The owner's manual says no but I found that my Deck was pretty dry upon delivery. Since the lube evaporates I think it depends on the time between manufacture and delivery
What a charmer and is that a rabbit!? Anyway, good instruction. Like others. I was nervous and clueless about it. My lube looks different. More like an oil. That's what it came with. Same thing? Will that work or do I need some separate lube stuff?
Can anyone help me. What is that part called that he lubed first? I got a preowned one and it doesn’t come with it so I’m trying to find the replacement piece but i don’t know the name. If anyone can help would appreciate a lot!

Nice. Glad you had the sound on the treadmill at the end. I wanted to hear what a clean treadmill sounds like.

Yah most definitely the best video on how to lube a treadmill. The Sole manual says jack all about loosening the belt, nor lubing the rail.
Well done video, I’m about to lubricate my treadmill for the first time and the tidbit about not using the wand saved me. Keep rocking on!
my manual didn't even say the rail had to be lubed. thanks for the video!
I always go back to your video as I lube my 5 year old sole 63. Have been running 10-12 miles a week the whole time. Great video and a good product
Thank you for your clear explanation. I have a SOLE F80 - but the principle is the same. After greasing the treadmill, it works much quieter. I ran mine 95 minutes before lubrication.

1.5 to lube!?! Wrong kind of lubing going on there. Probably why the author rums out of lube so fast too.
Lol
Just ran across your video! Now, I can lube my treadmill with confidence. What a beautiful bunny!
Thanks man, very helpful! Just swapped a neighbor some work for his barely used F63 and saw a tube of grease with it. Thought I’d better see what that was for! Great video
Thank you again. I go to your video every time I lube my treadmill!
I was soo intimidated to lube my own tread.. Thank you soo much for this video. You made it Very user friendly; step by step. I appreciate your time on this.. thank you again!
I will gladly lube your thread 🍑
Thank you, I was wondering how it was done. Worked like a charm!

That's a lot of miles
How do you even see how many miles your treadmill has been used? Or are you just estimating based on your workouts or something?
According to the owner's manual all you have to do is lift up a little bit on each side with the belt still fully tensioned and put a 15-in s-shaped pattern about 4 to 6 in on each side and then walk on it for 5 minutes. They do not suggest loosening the belt in the manual
No, they don't but he is showing you how to make it easy to get the lube into the center and to spread it out well.
Damn straight!
Damn straight!

Thank you for making this video, it made lubricating my treadmill a simple experience.
I read the instructions but this guy's vid is much easier to understand and follow. Thanks! Now, to make that new year's resolution a reality...
Ha, bought it as a new year's resolution, I'm sure it became a coat hanger after 3 months, if not sooner. Then someone got a great deal on a very lightly used treadmill.
Lol
Your explanation was great, and I love your pickles, beautiful colour
Thank you

This is exactly the instruction that I needed. Thank you!
This video was perfect for walking me through getting my treadmill belt lubed! Thank you for posting!!
Thanks so much for your video, very clear and helpful!
This was incredibly helpful, thank you! Pickles was an added bonus 😂
Nice video!!! Thanks for sharing such great info. Love your bunny too!
Great job. The manual is NOT very clear. So thank you very much for taking the time to make this video.
Excellent video! Thanks for taking the time to make this and show all the little tips and tricks.
Very instructive video! Good and clear explanation.
Thanks Geeky dad and Pickles for the ABC123 video;) Very helpful!!!
I used a garage door lubricant. Says good for roller on it, and it's silicon based. Worked great! thx for the video.
Great video! I really appreciated the attention to detail. Worked great on my Sole F80 (2020 model) although I needed about 10 full turns to get the belt loose enough to effectively reach under my belt. I’m sure it differs by the treadmill!
Very good demonstration! Thank you.
I love the bunny cameo appearance, thanks for the tutorial
I did enjoy the moc
Great video! very detailed and informative. Thank U! And pickles is adorable!🐇😀👍🏾💯
Great video- Thanks! Love the rabbit at the end :)

I watch this video every 6 months.
Great thorough instructions! Thanks.
Thank you for this, excellent help.
thanks for the video, very straightforward
Thanks, very helpful for my first time.
Read the manual. For f65 there is no mention of loosening screws before lubing. Just lift the belt and apply silicone grease on each side.
Excellent instructions.
Super useful video, this answered every question I had and some questions I didn’t realize I had. Plus, pickles 😍
Thanks! Very helpful video 👍🏻
The random Holland lop. Lol. The lube you used at the bottom what lube did you use? Was it the same you used for the belt?
Why do you lube the leg thing under the treadmill that we use to lift the treadmill up and down? whats the purpose of it
Does a new recently purchased Sole f63 treadmill need to be lubricanted after being assembled before being used?
Great video.
Pls share how to clean n grease the rollers, difficult to get the SOLE technician home due to the COVID lockdown and I can hear some murmur and squeaking.
Did you ever get an answer to your question?
You Rock Man, great content!!!!
Thanks for your video just ordered one so every 4 months
You say you buy the lubricant directly from the manufacturer; do you have a link? I have this same make/model of treadmill, and when I go to the Sole website I don't see anywhere to buy the lubricant from.
How often do we have to do this ? And we need to do it after initial purchase and installation?
How much lube did you use? Thanks for the video! Helped a lot!
Great Video.... Can you post where you get the lube? I can't find it in the Sole's website.
You can get from ebay by typing "treadmill belt lubricant ".
What size is that hex key? I tried so many sizes on my treadmill and nothing seems to work 5 seems to fit almost excatly and 6 is too big. Donnu whats inbetween..
Huge help! Thanks!

Thank bud👍🏼my wifes treadmill is nice and lube

I just purchased the Sole F63 and just assembled it. Am I suppose to lubricate the belt before using it or is it good to go out the box
Thanks, really helpfull video
Thank you for uploading your how to video!
Thank you, great video
Thank you so much for the great video
Hello and thank you.. how do u lift it in an upright position?
The manual says there is a light that comes on at 90 hours of use that means it needs to be lubricated. Where is that light?
mine is way overdue! Thank you
Quick question..
I followed your video exactly as shown but now even though the belt seems to be moving smoothly the treadmill is making a noise in the front that it wasn't making before. Any suggestions? BTW great video! Very helpful!
Has anyone used other lubricants outside of purchasing from manufacturer for the F63?
Super helpful! Thank you!
I have lubricated my treadmill twice and the monitor still shows me the warning to lubricate the belt. Pls what do I do?
You did not address on how to adjust the belt if does not stay centered after you tighten up the bolts again.
Very helpful. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the video!
I'm going to be buying the sole f63..just wondering how yours has held up to date??? Any issues??
Nice work.
Thanks a lot you helped me out
How do you fix the speakers in your treadmill ? I have the same machine and the right speaker stopped working
Thank you
you're awesome. btw what do the bottom screws do underneath the alan wrench holes? Do those control the left / right of the belt on the tread?
Those are just Phillips screws are aren’t to adjust the belt. Only the 2 top ones on each side are for belt adjustment
Do you have to grease and lube it before using it for the first time?
The owner's manual says no but I found that my Deck was pretty dry upon delivery. Since the lube evaporates I think it depends on the time between manufacture and delivery
Thank you. Very helpful.
Have you replaced the belt before?
Thanks for the video
Can you tell me where I can buy this lubricant? I just bought this exact treadmill (used on Facebook) and was wanting to lube it first.
I'd like to know as well. It's $12 a tube on Amazon, which is ridiculous.
FANTASTIC DEMO.THANKS
Hey question for ya…my treadmill is able to power on & start. But the belt is not running. Does lubrication solve the problem?
I have the same problem now after putting the Lube on. My belt doesn't spin now.
I have a F65 that is giving me the E2 error. This is when I am walking or running at 0% incline. Any ideas how to fix this?
call customer service you have lifetime warranty
Q
Someone may have said this, but don't use the silicone lube on the hydraulic lift part.
Very helpful thank you
What a charmer and is that a rabbit!? Anyway, good instruction. Like others. I was nervous and clueless about it. My lube looks different. More like an oil. That's what it came with. Same thing? Will that work or do I need some separate lube stuff?
Use same one which provided by company
Can anyone help me. What is that part called that he lubed first? I got a preowned one and it doesn’t come with it so I’m trying to find the replacement piece but i don’t know the name. If anyone can help would appreciate a lot!
This helped a lot thank you!
Very informative vid! Thank you! And hey nice bunny rabbit you have there. Lol
Is it ok to have this treadmill in a garage? Also do you use the whole bottle of lube?
