    A small tip I've used for glass cleaning, I saw that Yves actually does too, is clean/wipe one side of the glass horizontal, and the other side vertical. That way if you have any streaks, you can see the direction it's in, and know what side needs to be corrected.

    I have Gyeon Can Coat Evo on the "spousal transportation unit". I do a decon wash at least once a month. When doing conventional washes, I apply Gyeon Wet Coat as the final step before rinsing and drying. We are well into year 2 on the CanCoat Evo and the paint still sheds water like a duck.

    Great content Pan, I have Gyeon Primer, but have been reluctant to use it because I can’t wrap my brain around putting a coating on a polish. I think I’ll give it a try this spring on my old Subaru.
    For the Can Coat I don’t use the sprayer. I place an applicator on top of the open bottle and turn the whole thing over and back quickly about four times. Ends up looking like an Audi badge on the applicator. Then I apply and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes before leveling. So far after a year, on one of my son’s cars, the CanCoat is still going strong. I use the same method with Moonlight, although you have to make sure all the crystallized product is off the bottle opening. Jury is still out on durability for my test vehicle.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Congrats on your new truck! What did you get?
      A new car is never new until it's properly detailed.
      - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example.
      - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc
      - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements
      - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches
      - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat.
      If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well.
      I explain all of this in this popular video: th-cam.com/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/w-d-xo.html
      So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers:

    Hi, I really enjoyed the detailed video on Gyeon products. I've also heard great reviews on the QM Gyeon Foam and wanted your thoughts. It's seems that the product works so well you won't need to do a contact wash but if a contact wash is required what would you suggest since the Gyeon foam is not meant to be put in a buckets

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      There is no such thing as a contactless car wash. A pre-wash snow foam can get 80% of the dirt off, but if you want a 100% perfectly clean car, you must ALWAYS finish with a proper contact wash and a soap in a wash bucket. So in the bucket, you would have which ever pH neutral soap you like, or something like Gyeon Bathe which is excellent.

    Can you use WET COAT & BATHE+ together?

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      You could wash your car with Bathe+, and then rinse, and then use WetCoat, yes. A bit overkill though. I would perhaps wash the car with Bathe+ one month, and then the following month wash with regular Bathe (or another regular car shampoo) and finish that wash process with WetCoat for maintenance.

    Great video! First time I hear about View EVO!! Excited! I already have Q2M View and very satisfied. The only drawback is it doesn't make a silicon-like slick surface, so its almost mandatory to apply WetCoat, Cure, or Glass+ afterwards.
    The Glass+ tip is also interesting because everybody struggles with the haze that's almost impossible to wipe off. Exactly why I recon Glass+ is just a coating, because in the extreme little amount of product needed you really can't use it as a cleaner. When you use it as a cleaner you already have way too much product, causing the haze impossible to remove and everybody struggles with that.
    Also the last tip about Primer is a surprise because I just thought it was a polish or only needed for a Mohs coating or something.

    Could I ask you two questions?
    Bathe+ vs Carpro Reset: Are they as similar in performance as I think? I have a ceramic coated (white) car I like to take care of :D
    I like the Wet Coat, but lately been looking into ceramic detailer. If we also throw Bathe+ into the mix; Are they complementing eachother, or any of them rendered redundant?

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      You can't compare Bathe+ to CarPro Reset. Bathe+ is a shampoo infused with ceramic protection. Reset is just a pure shampoo. Its direct competitor is the regular Gyeon Bathe (not Bathe+). I prefer Reset for maintenance of coated vehicles. It's my favourite soap.
      I prefer shampoos with no protection in them, as I like to control which topper I apply at the end of the maintenance wash process.
      But if you like a soap that also has protection, so you do two steps in one (cleaning and adding a topper), then Gyeon Bathe+ used once a month is also a great option.

There is still loads of snow in school yards etc :D
      So, you'd say sneaking in some extra SiO2 is not too important? Alternatively, what other topper would be nice? (I guess I could look through your videos for that answer :p)
      I am familiar with Gyeon WetCoat, but always on the lookout for improvements. At the moment I have been using a shampoo from Maguiars (NXT something), but the more I have read into it (as I do like the smell), it might be on the too acidic side of things, and might not help my ceramic coating at all, hence why I am trying to find out how to truly support the ceramic coating as best as possible. Which has lead me to see in your videos and you seem to consistently praise CarPro Reset, which I have now put in the orderlist. Just trying to figure out what to complement the order with to give my coating some support :)

    Hi Pan,
    Another great video that reveals more interesting ideas to use Gyeon products. By the way I have not seen Chemical Guys shows of you, are they some how not popular or used from professionals?
    Cheers,
    Yavor

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Correct. Chemical Guys is not a brand used by professionals. Chemical Guys is a consumer grade big box store brand, like Turtle Wax, Meguiar's, Mothers, Armor All, Griot's Garage and Adam's Polishes. Chemical Guys used to be decent over a decade ago, but have largely been surpassed by all their competition except for Armor All and Mothers which are even worse in my opinion.
      For consumers, in retail stores, Turtle Wax, Meguiar's, Adam's and Griot's Garage are the best options. You will see many videos about those on my channel.
      Brands like Gyeon, CarPro, Gtechniq, Koch Chemie, Shine Supply, Armour Detail Supply and others are professional brands, much higher quality in general.

    With can coat, I've applied it like a traditional ceramic coating with a pipette and a ceramic applicator, because it goes on much thicker, its level of protection is now off the charts. It's on my girlfriends MX-5. 8 months on and it's still beading, although it's dated slightly I can still see it's darker layer still on the paintwork so it's still very much there. A great tip for longevity.

      @PanTheOrganizer I can't imagine Gyeon liking this idea as it's not profitable for them, but it is for me! Extremely cost effective way of protecting her MX-5, I'm planning on topping up the cancoat coating by the way cancoat should be used as per instruction, that will restore stronger beading effects like it was when I installed it the pipette, block and suede method originally. I think that we should get creative with products on the market, but be sure to test an inconspicuous area first!! I might try cancoat inside the car to protect some of the plastics and other materials as its safe to use on these types of materials, I've got a very good understanding of ceramic coating products, I'm very confident in what im doing and understand how to install and where not to install, I think cancoat would be great in some areas inside the car so long is as it's prep'd well, with a thin layer applied it'll be exactly the same on outside plastic trim as it is inside, It's the same polymers being used so why not 😊. I wouldn't install it on interior glass, infotainment screens, or any of the cars controls, including brake pedals, just incase, common sense prevails here.

    I always use gyeon Bathe+ when detailing cars and I offer it in my standard details, so I can charge that little bit extra because it coats their car. I use a 100ml (3.5floz) of Bathe+ in 900ml (31.67floz) of water in my foam cannon and that does the job when cleaning light to moderately dirty cars. It also adds a nice layer of hydrophobics almost like wet coat and a sleek shine which I tell my customers will last roughly 2 weeks or until their next wash. Happy detailing :)

    One question Pan, once you have washed the vehicle, clay barred it, and then polished it, and it comes time to wax it (not ceramic coating) can one use a wool pad with a sander/buffer to remove the dried out wax? In other words, the final step, is it ok to use a buffer/sander or does one just do it by hand?

    • @PanTheOrganizer

    • @gyeonusa

      Think of Leather Coat as more of a protectant/conditioner. Also only full aniline leather needs to "breathe" but you can safely use this product on them. We recommend applying Leather Coat every 3 months but this might fluctuate depending on usage of the seats.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Most modern leather coatings are "breathable" so that's a non issue. And remember that modern leather is coated, with a polyurethane clear coat (top coat) similar to your paint's clear coat, and we don't worry about the clear coat not breathing with modern paint coatings. ;)

    How would you recommend to reapply CanCoat if polishing is not necessary?
    A)Maintenance wash, chemical decon, Clay wipe to keep the existing coating, reapply CanCoat.
    B)Remove coating: Wash and Chem decon, clay bar, machine polish, Prep spray wipe down then apply fresh CanCoat
    C) Could we layer on top of the CanCoat or use Wet coat is better instead?
    Thank you.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      That's not a simple answer, as it depends to which extent you want your application to go. Personally, I would prefer a full decon wash, then light polish to remove any remaining old CanCoat, paint prep spray, and then reapply a fresh layer.
      Or, if the paint is in good condition, and you don't mind not getting 100% durability, you could just wash the car, then do a chemical decon, pain prep spray, and reapply CanCoat.
      You can layer CanCoat, or use WetCoat as maintenance. I made a video on CanCoat maintenance here: th-cam.com/video/NDJG17gzwhM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sIwDa5fzuQwmWPnn

    Bonjour Pan !!! Continue ton bon travail !!!

    The funny thing about Gyeon Cancoat is that it can last way longer than advertised, so my bottle has just been sitting in storage for almost a year and I haven't felt the need to re-use it yet. I'm pretty sure the sprayer is clogged by now lol

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Hehe yeah it’s very durable for a spray. They supply multiple sprayers in the box so you can switch.

      @@PanTheOrganizer For sure, I put it on my Supra as a "temporary" coating, but since it's in the garage and I drive it mostly on weekends. It still beads like the day I put it on last year. Insane value in my use case.

    Hi Pan, honest question, and a video request. You always say "... and remember to not work in direct sunlight", but I'm one of those people that has no choice. In this situation, what products do you recommend to reduce the issues and improve the car cleaning experience?

    Pan I love the Gyeon products but their customer service could use some help.
    I’ve emailed them several times asking when their new Remove products would be available. Apparently they are not checking their emails or ignoring me?

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      They are a huge brand so perhaps they get flooded with messages. The best move is usually to contact your nearest Gyeon supplier and ask them what the ETA is on product availability.

    No hate! But… wiper jitter typically is from wipers not being aligned properly you want to make sure the edge of wiper that is touching windshield is at a 90 degree angle if it is tucking under one way or another it’s causing your wiper jitter 👍 good video pan the man

    CanCoat might be a good deal for the amount of fluid, but it doesn't last long when opened, so it's not a fantastic value for weekend warriors who do one or two cars max a year. Better off getting the Pure Evo or so instead in that case.

    Most underrated comment ever “always wear rubber gloves when you’re detailing.” I don’t get people who don’t, even more so I don’t get people who give me dirty looks when I do.

      You got it! If it's on your skin, it can penetrate. Always protect your hands when using detailing chemicals. My hands are still nice and soft even after 27 years of detailing.

      I did one many years ago here: th-cam.com/video/M-uwqZMcvJU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AEYwpdDNshLYKXYC
      But it’s perhaps time to revisit the lineup and test all the new stuff. If I get enough viewer requests for it, I’ll look into it for sure. 👍🏻
