I used to listen this song on MTV or channel V. During my visit to Kathmandu, Nepal, I was denied entry in a casino as I was wearing shorts. I lonely went to a bar nearby, ordered few beers and shots and suddenly this song pops up. I was singing and within a minute later, the whole bar joined and singed with me. I wish I could be 19 again.
I was 11 years old when this gem came out. Heard it on MTV (yes, when MTV was still good and relevant), downloadedi it from LimeWire and copied it into my mini-MP3 player. Listened to it every day on the bus ride home from school. This song never left me. Beautiful to find us all here sharing our memories from those times.

Die Musikgeschmäcker gehen einfach auseinander, deshalb kann man nicht so einfach sagen, dass grundsätzlich die Musik früher besser war. Dennoch würde ich für meinen persönlichen Geschmack sagen, dass die älteren Stücke schon Ziemlich der Hammer sind. :D

Hip Hop hat sich verschlechtert bzw. ist tot, elektro/Dance war früher auch besser (Trance) und hard-rock ist sowieso schon lange tot. Heute gibt's nur noch wenig wofür ich mich begeistern kann, wobei och immer für viele Richtungen offen war.
Ich finde die früheren Lieder auch viel besser als jetzige (mit ein paar Ausnahmen). Ich würde mir wünschen, wieder mehr in dieser Richtung zu hören. Ich bin jetzt übrigens 14 ^^
