What I always appreciated about Green Day, I really feel they were always themselves.
I like Green Day and I’ve always kinda tried to defend them. Even when they were underground they were still doing love songs so I dont feel like they “sold out” when they crossed over.
Songs and videos like this though, gosh. Really hard to say they didnt burn every shred of their punk roots to jump on the processed music gravy train. This is absolutely AS milquetoast as it gets. Its like listening to a washing machine on repeat.
I’ll always love them for their really early material but seeing shit like this and I get why people hate them
