Show us the MIX! show us the water in the bucket and the mix in the well/tub............. And tell us again what you're adding at @5:50, and tell us what its for! the reason for adding it to the stucco mix.

i always thought you needed a hard sponge handled tool, and apply and push in circular motion to get the stucco texture.. it can’t be flat and smooth, the more inconsistent the better for the right look
I wish you lived in New Mexico! What would cause my traditional stucco to literally turn back to sand? It’s 3 years old! I saw a brittle patch and pushed on it yesterday and realized behind it, it turned back to sand. I can touch wire!! Need to have it repaired but no idea how bad this is going to be. It means they put the stucco on before the dry coat was done and moisture killed it I'm sure wire is rusting too .. you can do the repairs I believe in you
If it’s painted then yes, you can take a sample with you. Usually an electrical panel cover would do. You don’t have to chip any stucco off. If it’s the original stucco color, then it’s a whole different process which paint is not needed, but fog coat that you need to blend in with the repair. FYI- fog would only work when the repair is color coated and not texture with cement.

I wonder if they have stucco in tan color premixed. I don't want to paint a wall for a damage mark on my tan pillar

I have a brand new house and when the stucco was done it was done very bad ..the lath is showing and it just looks like a 5 year old did it.
Probably done by Mexicans. They can screw up any job but work cheap.
