Had the chance to ride the 101 this past weekend. Your review is spot on. Couldn’t believe how easily it shifted and the suspension was amazing even over some rough spots. My only complaint was that you are locked into that seating position with no where to move. Thankfully it’s a comfortable seat.
I just subscribed. Blows my mind you dont have more subscribers. Knowledge is on point, your enthusiastic, personable, and the production is on point. Youll eventually be at 100k subscribers.
Thank you thank you! I just got started about a year ago so the video process has been a learning journey but at heart I am gearhead who loves riding been doing it for 7 years and I’m glad to share it. And hopefully we can make it that far it’s been really fun. I look forward to hearing from you in the future. Thank you !
Oh man ! I genuinely don’t think I’ve heard that one before. !! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 there are a lot of people ranting about it in the internet as it is I tried to make a short but good jam packed video that a lot of people can watch. Let’s see 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️.
Incorrect. There are no changes to the scout 60 for 2025. So it will be identical to the 2024 model. So there is the 5 "new Scouts" and the scout 60 carries from last year.
As far as all you mentioned in this review and you had to decide which bike is actually worth the price and the best ride, Sport Scout or the 101. I am going to actually make my purchase this month. You have been very clear and concise and the best i have ever seen, thank you! IT does help and I do appreciate it.
🙌🙌🙌 woop woop. Thank you very much for the feedback. I appreciate it ! I’ve seen a lot of review of the new scouts and Honeslty wasn’t too happy with the reviews I saw myself. Glad I could do it justice and it helped you out. Seriously thank you !
@@NostalgicMotorcycles One question: If you had to choose between the Sport Scout and the 101 and you lived in the city area (NYC) and travel (Island area: which i Intend to use for commute to work and back to avoid the crazy traffic, which would you go for? Just an opinion. Much appreciated and your welcome it was a pleasure to watch you and your tech guy even explain the tech parts very impressed (Sport Scout)
I would say as standard the sport scout is as comfortable they both have the fairing. Same engine and ergos. The real difference is the suspension and brakes. Are you the type that wants to adjust your suspension and ride more aggressive the 101 is better for that. If you want to not touch it (suspension) and or upgrade in the future the sport is better for that. With an exhaust and a tune I think both bikes will make the same power (no one has done it yet) off the showroom the 101 is faster. It also comes down to tech the 101 is fully specd. The sport has base(no rider modes and less power), limited(ride modes but no fancy screen) and limited plus tech(really the same as the 101) Not having rider modes actually does make the base slower I would avoid that. If you want less tech but all else the same limited. If your going to pay for the sport limited plus tech I would say just get the 101 and go all the way it’s so close in price and features it seems leaving anything on the table is pretty pointless and the looks justify the price difference.
I wish they'd put some of those 101 extras on the super scout. My wife likes to ride with me and occasionally we tour. Would like that power on the Super Scout.
They sent similar in engines at all. Air cooler stuff is slow compared to the speed and power plus stuff. You really have to want to go air cooled to get a chief. It’s completely different.
Thank you for your great review. I am on the fence about purchasing the 101. I have tried to read and look at all the reviews that I could find, yours being the most recent. This is what is being reported so far. Several owners have indicated their 101 had a problem with the engine dying on them multiple times. Several have reported the ride command fuel gauge is not accurately reflecting the bike's fuel level. One rider reported one of his front forks kept having a fluid leak and I have read some had battery issues. In fairness may have indicated no problems at all. I realize when a newly developed bike first comes out their may be some issues to iron out. Did you experience any engine dying or battery issues? What are your thoughts on this as I greatly value your opinion. Thank you for your input.
Ya for sure. New bikes do have issues but Honeslty I am not the owner of this but I did ask several questions about issues and it’s about 1000 miles into ownership and nothing at all. Got the first service done no actual problems at all. Only thing they noted was they wish the buttons were more clicky. That seams to be it for this one.
It is awesome what indian has done with the scout, they are putting so much effort into their middleweight cruisers while harley seems to go all in on their baggers which is fucking boring. The scouts feel like theyre trying to call back to the days of muscle cruisers while being nimble. Im also excited for buels super cruiser and when that comes out i cant wait to see the reviews. Hopefully metric companies up their game on cruisers too. How awesome would it be if kawasaki put an 1000cc h2 engine in a vulcan? Ditch the v-twins and that would be a winner.
LMFAO I wish companies would do that. They are too scared to loose sport bike sales is there are 2 bikes with the same top tier engine. Yet they do it with twins all day long. I will say this 60% of Indian sales is the scout. Of course they would put time into the biggest seller. harley sells more baggers than smaller bikes so they do the same.

@@louv3080 Ya I figured these bike are similar enough that a dedicated review on each is not worth the work as they really feel the same. But this was a cool way to use and talk about it. Thank you !!! as well you don't know how much that helps sesiously.
Also, all current Indian engines have a rear cylinder deactivation that occurs once the engine is warmed up & you are stopped. That helps reduce heat next to your legs tremendously in the summer. You can turn it off if you don't like it, I have it off on my FTR(which doesn't need it) but on for my Sport Chief.
Yes that’s one of those things that’s not really a deal make or breaker so I usually leave that stuff out. Not sure if you noticed but I leave a lot of specs out and focus on feel.

I own one of these, it's a nice bike but it's SHITTY above 100+mph. Keep it @ cruiser speeds like 60-80mph and it's fine. I've pushed it up to 140 and just imagine 2 big v-twin cylinders shaking the whole bike @ 9k rpms. Great motorcycle though, get yourself 1 saddlebag to be able to lug your phone/wallet/etc around
but what if I told you it has more power, longer and more adjustable suspension, A softer more ergonomic seat and better brakes. as an added bonus you get a nice paint job lol.

@@erikschoff2272 ahhaaaaaa those are dealer questions lmao. but I believe 17k, I have a video for this weekend vs the Sportster S same price. Most other cruisers are cheaper from the japan companies. almost 200 miles to the tank I got 45 MPG on this ride of about 60 miles. being a new bike there isnt an aftermarket yet. but indian has less than harley for aftermarket options always.
