@@StreetPilots Yeah that's unfortunate that at stop lights you're getting random stalls. It hasn't happened to me but that's the gremlins of every early adopter of the new generation of anything. @StreetPilots so what did the dealer say about the stalling? Any suggestions? I was just about to buy one... Over on Brandon Bicasso's channel he mentions the same issue and he discovered during a demo session for influencers. At the time he thought it was because he had a pre- production bike.

@@dropbearmoto the idle problem is the main concern. It’s back at the dealer as last couple days it was stalling non stop even in motion. The pipe will be swapped out but the screen boot up time is horrible
Do you happen to get any clicking out of your front brakes when coming to a stop from moderate speed? Mine does this from 25MPH down to 10MPH. Generally I don't hear it above or below those speeds, and it only does it when front brake is applied. I'm sure it's the semi-floating rotors, but asking for comparison. It's annoying.
So I got one of the first 101s and Indian actually called me recently to get my opinions. We had about a 15 minute conversation and I absolutely mentioned the gas tank issue. Every time i fill up, gas is either flying everywhere, it trips the shut off, or i have to just drip feed it. After that i too had feed back issues with the turn signals. Either not finding it or not being able to tell if they're on or when I turn them off.
@@StreetPilots I just talked to them 2 days ago so they couldnt have dine anything yet. I got my bike first week of June and just passed 1200 miles. @@RobDaKid87 good to hear, looking at my experience and the comments below, the stalling issue is common and I hope it get addressed asap for safety reasons
So, just basing off of my brother's 24 ftr1200, the bogging down may be because of the cylinder deactivation. His bike stalled on him a lot until he turned that off. You should be able to go into the settings and turn that off.
Did you test ride it ,did you actually start the test bike up at the dealership to see what it sounds like first and surely you would have noticed all these things that you mentioned . . and you still brought the bike
I’ve had no issues with my 2022 Scout Bobber ABS ICON. I want the new 2025 Scout 101 and have seen several other videos where the rider was demonstrating the bike and it too stalled.
I took one of these for a test ride multiple times and was not impressed, especially considering the price. The screen issue obviously I experienced as well, the seat is attrociously uncomfortable, I didn't like the clutch and brake feel, the stock exhaust is just pitiful (not looking) the way it sounds. I was very disappointed, maybe my expectations are too high idk. I found bikes half the price that were more comfortable, the stock sound and feel of the motor was better as well as better brake and clutch feel and better riding suspension. Things the bike has got going for it that are good are the styling and fit and finish which are superb and the motor if you ring it out is pretty quick. I actually rode the sportster s from Harley after and I liked that bike a lot better, the motor and everything just was smoother and felt better but it didn't have the fit and finish of the Indian. I wanted to like the Indian more but just didn't turn out that way for me and if paying over $17k I don't want to have to pay thousands more to make the bike up to what it should be stock. Had high hopes but just wasn't happy with bike out of the gates way it is.
@@bikerbeliever8169 that’s a fair argument. Indian knocked it out of the park with the previous generation, this one isn’t as great. The only thing it has going for it is power, in sport mode it’s definitely quicker than the previous gen
Thanks for putting this together! The gas tank issue would drive me nuts. I heard the FTR is like that but it has to do with the gas tank being under the seat and the tank is just an air box. Your boot up issue is more than likely Indian cheating out on old hardware.
I have an 18 scout and 16 springfield.i love these bikes but I was going to get a new one this yr and found I don't really like all the tech they have integrated into the new bikes, I think Indian should come up with a Springfield model that stripped down with very little Chrome that is a throwback do the carburetor days where a guy can work on his own bike
Well my new 101 frist ride 49 miles on it I did and check engine light came on and the bike is misfiring and shutting off. Luckily this happened going to the dealership for a group ride . currently they have no clue what the fix will be yet but the bike sounds horrible. Very frustrating. Im giving Indian an opportunity to figure out what’s going on. The bike is brand new. I ordered the bike with extreme excitement. It had 5.5 miles on it after I picked it up standard pre-delivery inspection mileage I put the rest of the miles to 49 miles and now the bike is not running and when it does run it misfires and shuts itself off after a few minutes and the check engine light is on. I’m praying it’s a simple fix. Maybe a map or something this new emissions are choking the hell out of these bikes.
@@Traveloneglobal are you low on fuel? Mine had that issue one time when my fuel got low. The gauge read about 1/8 of the tank but it ran like a bag of hammers. It amplified the stalling issue and threw a cylinder 1 misfire. That cleared once I filled up and did a full drive cycle
I've ridden a few of these models and that load up is slow I remember the ones I rode booted up faster I would see if they have a software update for that and the bogging that's probably because of your exhaust i would recommend getting the bike tuned
Thank you so much. I was not that fond of the looks of the digital gauges to begin with. Knowing how it functions now, I’ll take the analog and just use my phone! 👍

@@StreetPilotsIndian offered a buyback but it was only a good deal towards another Indian. I would've still taken some sort of a hit... If they just bought it back I'd be in the hole a few more k. At the end of the day they "fixed it" but after the bike went back to the dealer almost 15 times, I was over it. By the 15th or so time they got everything going except for things that were universal issues. Fork noise, Intermittent starting and dash board randomly locking out for a few seconds to sometimes several minutes. The kicker is I got the analogue tach to avoid possible infotainment issues, but no matter which version you get they all communicate the same. The analogue dash takes a minute to get all the way off the ride mode screen then at the moment when you wanted to change ride modes it would lock out I found another bike I liked somewhere else and got a good trade on the new bike. All in all the customer service was very good. Since the final issues had no fix, They did everything they could've done... Before indian came out with this model, I bought 2024 Scout Rogue, and I'm dealing with the warning light sign ⚠️ it randomly shows up. This is just an opinion from one man who's been riding on the street 54 years now and still riding. I can tell you why I don't like either this or any of the new Harleys either. The engineers that designed them evidently don't ride in the rain, on dirt roads with gravel and rocks or bad weather. They stopped putting proper fenders on them. I live in Florida, and most of us down here including myself ride year round. You wouldn't catch me on one of these.

@StreetPilots the video is titled "5 things that are wrong with my scout 101". This title implies that there are 5 things wrong with your motorcycle. The screen booting issue you mentioned is not an error with the bike, that's how the bike was made. I think you should rethink your video titles because this one was clearly not accurate. It would also help you stop getting views like mine. A title such as "quirks I have found on my bike I dislike" would be far more accurate.

I'm 1100miles so far on the bike with no major issues. I broke one of the drain plugs during the 1st service but that only costed me $25usd and a ride to the local dealership. If anyone else is servicing their own machines, please pay attention to the torque specs, the drain plug is 15lbs(I'd say only use 12lbs depending on your wrench).
@StreetPilots so what did the dealer say about the stalling? Any suggestions? I was just about to buy one... Over on Brandon Bicasso's channel he mentions the same issue and he discovered during a demo session for influencers. At the time he thought it was because he had a pre- production bike.
Fixed the pipe on mine! I have the start up lag which is odd as faster on chief! Others are not an issue on mine, don’t get that idle problem and filling up and blinker switch is ok!

By the 15th or so time they got everything going except for things that were universal issues. Fork noise, Intermittent starting and dash board randomly locking out for a few seconds to sometimes several minutes.
