- Mazda cares about the driving experience. Mazda also cares about giving the consumer what they want which is the Mazda CX-3 compact crossover segment seen here; it’s fun to drive, well-built, and inexpensive. Even though the CX-3 is small, it benefits from a healthy dose of KODO styling. Prices range from $20,110 for the FWD sport model up to $26,415 for the Grand Touring with AWD.
Under the hood is a SkyActiv 2.0 liter 4-cylinder that makes 146 horsepower and 146 lf-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual. Fuel economy checks in at 29 MPG in the City and 34 MPG on the highway for the FWD model. The AWD model reduces these figures by 2 MPG.
Competition includes the Toyota C-HR, Honda HR-V, Jeep Renegade, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Kona, and the Nissan Kicks.

I've owned one of these for about 7 months. Base Sport model. Has everything on it I want. I think the 16" wheels make it ride a lot better than the 17" and they look better. Most comfortable car I've ever owned. Fun to drive and almost 32 MPG with AWD.

I use the CX-3 with a car seat to send my son to school. It also fits 3 adults and 1 child in the child seat. But we are not so tall people (1.7 m and below). But our family car is the CX-5.
Love mine in diesel. 35 in city and 50 on the highway

Can’t go off road 🤣 I took my 2018 cx3 grand touring on a humvee trail and drove it through a river in Tennessee completely stock. This thing is a beast on the trails. Obviously don’t take it bogging, but it can get you where you want to go.
Needs more power. If only you could get the back seat of the HR-V, the looks of the CX-3, and the performance of the Kona 1.6T you'd have the perfect mini crossover.

I think it's best in class. At least in the looks department
Im currently shopping this segment and I confirm its best in class in everything other than brand name and resell value. They should have made an inbetween with the cx3 and cx5 to compete with the rav4's. I'm sadly heading towards totoya just because of the resell and aging value... I mean, I could get a 2014-15 rav4 for the same price of a newer kodo cx-3, but not a cx-5. Sadly cx-3 seems a bit too small for the future even tho I could score a 2018 cx-3. But I'm afraid the rav4 will be more practical with its size and reliability. But mostly the resell value even in 5 years. The 2018 cx-3 will be worth very little, the rav4 will still sell for like 10k if theres not too much mileage. No questions asked. lol. I dunno really, Im more a driver type and its true totoyas are souless. but thats why they safe on the long run, you cant really do anything crazy with them.

before you lot say anything i own and drive a cx5 early 2016,just before the new one came out.got a real good deal.love it to bits.i did drive the cx3 with a little 1.5 diesel engine.very good in looks and build quality and very good in economy.here is the bad bit,anybody who tells you you can fit 2 adults in the back and for them to be comfortable,is telling you a lie.the cx3 is shit at the back.if you are around 6ft tall as the driver for sure the only thing you can sit in the back is a little dog.dot believe me?go and see a cx3 close up.

2019 model has improved more than the 2018 it would be a waste to get the 2018 since it is the same as the 2016-2017 models. 2019 improved interior, better ride , improved sound dampers, 2 more hp to engine, center console improved. Nothing reported on the infotainment system if it has been improved since the current is very laggy and buggy and Nav system is not detailed as others in class. CX3 is still worth a look at also among standard features, there is the Smart Brake Support, Mazda Radar Cruise Control . As well, the manufacturer has added a few more options which include power driver’s set with memory, a heated steering wheel, and full-color driving display.

A year old CX5 is low 20K.....
Do not show yourself when driving! Show the instrument panel and things that gives us info about the car instead. Why would we want to look at the driver??

My wife has one cx-3 2019 with 40k miles and she already replaced the transmission, emergency break got stuck, we needed to tow the car, also a few electrical issues. My Prius 2005 with 200 miles is more reliable than this car. She highly regrets buying one of this.

This car totally defeats the purpose if you want a honest opinion the only 2 great things this vehicle has is styling and quality built vs its competitors... this vehicle has more cons than pros...the engine is so loud and noisy if feels your pushing it over its limit at all times....its good on gas but expect to visit the pump much more often than your used to because the tank is very small... the cargo space is a joke and the rear seats are just as good as the ones in a porsche 911 great for punishing people... they launched it as a extra small suv and honestly they need to stop making theese counterproductive vehicles... just go buy a sedan and if you want a suv just go save up the extra 10k and get something in the toyota rav4 and crv range you will not regret that desicion.. btw this vehicle is low... it will scrape the front spoiler in any speed bump or high driveway.. i personally would buy it to commute and not for its suv purpose... i just sold mine and this time i will not play games , i will pick up a audi sq7 this week
