I'm amaze how people do random jugads and make the D390 light work on D250. Specially the riders of Kerala. I'll be doing the same jugads after 2years(when my waranty's gone).
True.. Parts price has high rocketed like 3 times in this corona time. Like 1k dominar mirrors are now 3.5k. 800rs levers are now 3k. Not sure how bad this will get.. and those jugaads won't get you all the features of the HU, even basic things like low beam doesn't work well.

Yeah. They are doing it using the custom adapter which is locally manufactured. Basically they get the led hu from KTM and bundle it with their high/low beam adapter to make it plug n play. I know some dealers who can sell for 7k etc., But a bit hesitant to recommend without testing it myself.
I Experienced a weird thing in my duke 200 bs6 for atleast 2/3 times . Without ignition ON, the headlight stays ON. What can be the issue? It glows for some seconds.
Just a query, does the BS4 version also carry the same H4 Halogen bulb from the BS6 ? I've also been keen upgrading to a LED bulb. If it carries the same bulb, does it do it's job right ? The range is improved ?

Hi!! Thank you for this amazing video!! I too own a KTM Duke 250 BS6 version with the Halogen Light that was discontinued very shortly after its launch. You have said that it will cost in between ₹10000 to ₹15000 for the full transition to Genuine LED Headlight and its parts. I stay at Kochi and when I had asked about this at my nearest service centre before two months, they told me that it is very expensive and will cost almost ₹35000 for the whole procedure with original parts. Do you have any idea as to why it is less than half the cost of what I have been quoted at your nearest service centre? Or are they trying to extort money from unsuspecting customers like me? Should I contact KTM regarding this? Your valuable reply would be greatly appreciated.
Firstly they are doing it illegally for you. Because if ktm india is aware of this, then they have all rights to take action at the dealership network. So majority of the money charged will be based on labor and other hidden charges. The parts itself doesn't cost 35k and also they might be billing you for the necessary software updates which goes with this, which is typically free. And secondly this video was made during the corona lockdown time, and the prices of many of these parts have gone up, so the same things cost close to 20k. Like some parts are like 2 to 3 times costlier than the price before lock down. So a lot of factors play the role here. And if you ask me genuinely the price or the warranty void risks which comes with this, this mod isn't worthy at all, because performance wise there isn't much of an difference, I have also made a video about that comparison and it's mainly for looks.
Yes, through the aftermarket adapter. But not through this method, cause ecu and lcd firmwares can't be installed in any other bikes other than bs6 duke 250s.
Yes there are. They are doing it using a locally made adaptor for high and low beam switches and also for the pin conversion. And if you do that, you might have to lose the wire mask behind the HU which will make all other wiring prone to water damage, and even if you retro fit one somehow it will not work with the display module which uses the light sensor for altering the brightness of the HU. And yes, if the wires get damaged then you will still void the warranty in this case

Yeah. That's a good one. The only reason I didn't get that was because of the adapter which comes with it. There is very less space behind the HU in latest Dukes, and I didn't want to pressure the holder holding it.
heyo bro. bought the Cyclops led .., installed into my duke 250 with ease., the light was friggin bright, spread was good and no bluish tint in there.,, but the only thing am facinn..like the cut off ratio wasn't there completely.,as it's part of the KTM's reflector design mostly and probably am fuckinn up the oncoming traffic. Most suitable for off roading.!! That's my balanced review on it., if anyone finds it helpful. Thank you bro.
Anyone can install the d390 headlight on a d250 or d200bs6, all you need is a headlight with relay work done for dik and bright, side mask and the back mask. Its not that complicated no software update req
Currently no. Because of the physical connector differences between both the displays and also the unavailability of firmware upgrade for the ecu to support the same.. but this can be thought out when 250 adventure comes to market, as rumours quote that KTM has given away the LED HU for the LCD display. So most likely we can try and find a workaround. But still fingers crossed. Hope it helped. 😊👍
No bro. This is applicable only for bs6 version. But I'm trying out an other solution which will work for every Duke. Will make a video on it once I'm done.. 👍
It means that ktm won't do it for you, or it won't work if you want to do a professional installation. But there are other ways you can get it done and that may void your warranty. You can ping me in insta, I can give you those details if you need
Ktm should've done that with BS6 update itself. First they introduced bs6 with helogen but later again updated with led. That broke many bs6 owners.

That's weird. Get the switch and fuse checked by KTM guys. Might be something as minor as dust or water.

You should be able to. But all fan models will suffocate and heat up in dukes, because of the congested space behind the HU doom.
I requested the KTM krishnagiri to change the halogen to led they said “yes and would cost 12k “which is much bigger to me

Halogen is best when it comes to illumination and fitment, afterall it's a halogen setup. My best recommendation would be osram night breaker laser
