I'm having an issue where after I convert the mkv file it loses audio, I record the desktop and microphone separately. The Mkv file seems to have the desktop audio only but the mp4 only has the microphone audio, do you have any Idea what could be causing this? the issue is still present when I record both audios together but now both can be heard in the mkv file but not the mp4, its very odd and I haven't been able to find out whats causing this. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Not all heroes wear capes, this solution worked in under one second and managed to convert mkv to mp4 in order to make it readable by adobe programs and etc. thank you
Super helpful tutorial. I was trying to convert a video recorded in OBS through VLC (stupid I know lol) and it kept messing up. Doing it through OBS was incredibly fast and significantly easier to navigate.

It's possible you're having a frame rate issue. Perhaps you recorded in 29.97 frames per second and the export is in 30 frames per second. Or vice versa. Other than that I'm not sure. If anybody else watching has any ideas please comment below.

It kept coming up with errors saying it was remuxed but the file was incomplete. It didn’t work for me. Anyone else had this issue?

I did not have this issue. My mkv vid was 17 over hours long😂Hope yall can resolve your isssue!
