Great video man... I need to do the same to my Ranger, this is giving me the courage... Watched it like 4 times already.

thanks for the video, suggestion, if your replacing the PS line I would just cut the old steel line and put a socket on the fitting and wind her out. most of the time you disturb the other rusty lines on the rack, so unfortunately most times you also need to replace the rack. Make sure to coat the new lines in some sort of a rust proofing to avoid it from rusting

I just changed this line tonight on my dad's 4.0 Ford Ranger. if you get under it you can put a 13 mm on the fitting ends with without a problem, facing the front of the truck the one to your left is very easy the one that's higher is a little tighter but you can get a wrench in there there's plenty of clearance access .you don't have to pull all the stuff from the top. Not saying your way doesn't work I'm just saying that it's easier to work underneath it with a 13 mm that's the only wrench you need

    Thanks for the great video!
Question: For the bottom portion of the pressure line that goes into the rack, did you just pull it straight out after getting rid of the 13 mm nut?

I had to use a extraction tool because it was stuck on .. it was a pain to do

@@dragemupdownforce2321 thanks for the reply man. Mine (Canadian truck) was stuck on pretty good so I figured it’s better to make sure it’s only rust holding it on before I try anything.
Just tonight I managed to bring a torch to it and wiggle the bottom portion right out.

Hey man, great video but when I replaced my pressure line it kept leaking from the bottom portion of the line. Does the line have to click into the fitting first before putting on the 13 mm nut?

I would check the O-ring to see if it's in place

Kind of adding to this, post because I'm probably being paranoid, but is it normal for the line to be slight loose and able to rotate it around? They seem kind of lose even after I pressed them into the fitting on the rack.

Great video but you really should use jack stands.

I thought you would need to have a puller for pulley?
